so that idiots like you could say “ the investigation into corruption of the FBI is still ongoing”
I may not be up on the whole new foucolt logic out there, but aren't idiots the people without facts?

The fact of the matter is it still IS ongoing. It won't be completed until the final report is written up. And if the DOJ decides to release it, then I'll see what, if anything, was found.

If it doesn't find anything then so be it. If it did find things, then that should matter. After all Horrowitz already said it was handled horribly and the original FBI investigation by Mueller completely discredited the mainstream media and most liberals.

But you likely don't believe that because you are a liberal and don't care about facts. You'd rather be an ignorant idiot than be factual. Facts are like a disease to you.

So, once again, the real idiot, Mr. FDR surfaces again.

@IwantRooseveltagain
John Durham took two cases to trial and lost both of them in short order. The FBI was NOT politically motivated in investigating Trump’s connections to Russia during the 2016 election.
I'd be interested in seeing how you think one proves the other when he hasn't even finished his report yet.

Additionally, Danchenko was acquitted for lying to the FBI. [1] Not for any other charges related to the FBI's political conduct. This doesn't prove anything.

And Durham won another court case where an FBI member was sentenced to probation for altering an email in the investigation. [2]

The same thing is true about Sussman. He was acquitted of lying to the FBI.

SO how do you spin this to mean there was no collusion or corruption in DC? If you read what Sussman actually did, which, you know, wasn't tried before the court but simply whether he lied about one detail of it, the same for Danchenko, it is abundantly obvious there was corruption.

@Stephen
It's simple. The Greek word has been repeatedly mistranslated by organizations with a history of American reformed or puritan theology.

For starters, in 1 Timothy, Paul is not stating women cannot have positions in church leadership or be prophetesses or hold public office. He is saying a woman cannot serve as a pastor or administrator over other men.

The Greek word for teach in 1 Timothy 2:12 means in that context to hold a didactic discourse. And the word for authority means in the executive sense. But rather they should remain quiet, e.g. they shouldn't be holding discussions or being in control of the service.

This doesn't mean women can't teach in the classical sense or prophesy. Paul recognized a female elder in his writings. You can't tell me he was against women prophesying or women being in any sort of leadership capacity at all if he commends Phoebe and Acts speaks highly of Philip's 4 daughters. If Paul had a problem with prophetesses as a position he would have made it clear.

How do you explain Deborah, Esther, and Phoebe being in positions of leadership in addition to the prophetesses Anna, Isaiah's wife, and Philip's four daughters if women are to keep silent in the church?

Deborah was a judge over Israel for goodness sake. That was a political office instituted by God, and I suppose you think Phoebe being in charge of welfare as a leader in her church was also somehow sinful?

I don't respond to trolls because they are trolls. You obviously got your theological degree from Misogyny Ministries, Inc. and not the Bible. Jus sayin.

It has worked in conjunction with the rest of the government, not by itself.
Yes, just like how a voting policy will work in conjunction with people voting and mods moderating.

We already have a moderator policy and a user policy. This is equivalent to different departments of government making their own policies. We just need a short voting policy akin to the brevity of the Constitution. The rest is already covered, much like in government currently.

When will the Capitol burn?
-->
@IwantRooseveltagain
For starters, your replies to my sources were incredulously cherry picked and also show your desperate attempt to just be right even when the facts go against you.

For one, there were Federal Regulations with the first Polio vaccine, as this 1994 study meticulously proves:
IPV was developed in 1953 by Jonas Salk (Salk, 1953; Salk et al., 1953); OPV was developed by Koprowski and colleagues (1952), who were the first to use it, and Albert Sabin (1956). An enhanced-potency IPV was developed in the late 1970s and is used today. Currently, IPV and the Sabin strains of OPV are available for use in the United States; however, OPV is the vaccine recommended for general use and is the most prevalent (American Academy of Pediatrics, Committee on Infectious Diseases, 1991).

Shortly after the licensure of IPV in 1955, the vaccine manufactured by Cutter was found to cause paralytic disease. It contained residual infectious virus. The reason was traced to the method of inactivation. At that time the dynamics of the inactivation process were not fully understood, and the U.S. government's requirements for vaccine production were ambiguous. All of these problems have since been corrected.

Those specific problems were corrected, but it did not, by any means, stop unsafe vaccines from going to market. As the CDC documents, the problem persisted clear into 2013, and this is just what the CDC has admitted. There's others they have not:

Moreover, if you had bothered to read futher down in the Wikipedia article (past the paltry two paragraphs that agreed with you out of context) you would have read:

The NSV was the second largest Nazi group organization by 1935, second only to the German Labour Front. It had 4.7 million members and 520,000 volunteer workers. Nazi Party members who were active in communal welfare professionally or as volunteers had to be NSV members.[8]
Moreover, if you look at the groups the Nazis cancelled, you'll find they were all PRIVATE WELFARE INSTITUTIONS:

Before the Nazi seizure of power, there had been seven main charitable networks in Germany: two socialist welfare organizations (one run by the SPD and the other by the KPD), the Christian workers' welfare association, the national Jewish charitable agency, the Roman Catholic Caritas, the Protestant Inner Mission, and the German Red Cross. The Nazis disbanded the socialist and Christian workers' associations and seized their assets, restricted the activities of the Jewish agency to helping ethnic Jews, and sought to "coordinate" the remaining three agencies under the control of the NSV.[6] The non-Nazi charities were forced to accept the principles of eugenics and refrain from helping those deemed biologically unfit, while the German Red Cross was compelled to appoint Nazis to prominent positions.[7]
That is nothing remotely close to your argument that the Nazis had no welfare department. It was their second biggest department and they monopolized the industry. Exactly like what liberals want to do.

Also, I'll assume the Roosevelt you want is FDR, the man who literally imprisoned Japanese Americans and Italian Americans and had the same nazi-style crackdown on "dissenters" that Hitler had in Germany. I really hope I'm wrong, but you sure don't sound like you'd support Teddy Roosevelt from what I've read thus far.

Do you really wanna keep doing this? Or have I made my point?

So it clearly can't possibly be racism. And we already know it isn't being stupid because of my professionally tested IQ of 144 and my advanced education and educated upbringing. Heck, I also scored an 1800 on the SATs on my first try when the average score was 1500 and 1700 was considered good enough to be seriously considered by most colleges without a transcript.

So maybe you are the dummy or racist in this scenario? Because it clearly isn't me.

I'm waiting to see how any of the qualities you've listed have any hearing on a person's Intelligence Quotient.

Also, I was born in New York, grew up in Northern Virginia, was raised by two parents with advanced degrees, attended top-tier private schools, took advanced classes in High School, and would have graduated with a double major in College had I decided to stay one additional semester rather than start my working career.

And I'm a Trump Supporter. The only ignoramus in this conversation is you. But the solution is rather simple. Stop reading newspapers and news magazines (the lowest forms of printed intellectual content) and start reading books and begin thinking for yourself. That is better than all the education in the world.

Well by your conception of a voter Policy we might as well tell people which devices to use when voting and how to press the keyboard and which type of English dialect to use.

The Constitution has worked for 246 years. People don't need a Les Miserables Voting Policy. Just a concise yet adequate list of dont's and some tips for voting well. Sort of like a Steinbeck novel. Short and sweet and fulfilling.

@K_Michael
It is incredibly  bare-bones, to the point that reading it tells you very little of how the US government actually functions outside of a middle school level overview.
I thoroughly disagree. The military is succinctly covered under Article II in the necessary powers clause and in Article III.

Furthermore, the document does explain what all the branches of government are, what their functions and roles are, and therefore how one is to understand how they implement said roles.

For instance, to find out more about the Army, I wouldn't go to the Supreme Court. The Constitution tells me precisely which department the Army is under.

But I'd also argue your point is a straw man. You are equivocating adherence of policy with the policy itself. No document in existence tells people everything they can and cannot do in adherence to a policy. No such policy has been drafted and seriously considered by any mass of people. The Constitution is therefore no different.

A document merely explains how the process works and key things that will and will not be allowed. It does not make any claims as to every waking duty that every person should perform. To suggest otherwise is to completely rewrite the definition of policy.

Well, in my OP I was simply suggesting a rewrite. When I offered to do it, I figured the moderation team or site creator(s) was going to tell me what should be in it. I mean, I'd have to be pretty prideful to suggest I should be writing voting policy for a website that I haven't even moderated for yet lol.

So my offer as it stands currently is to write the new policy that the moderation team constructs in a straightforward yet brief way so that any average person with a 5th grade reading level could understand and apply it.

To do this, I'd need to be able to communicate with all of you in a group chat of some sort, I think.

Obama's new Show “The G Word” Is Big Government Propaganda

Actually propaganda is any media at all that is used to promote positions. But the key difference is that the point of propaganda is to defend or discredit something rather than promote truth.

I hardly think Obama is the right man to defend truth any more than Bush, Biden, or Ronald Reagan. They were all engaging in propaganda quite regularly.

Having someone else attempt to generate their own version of it
To be clear I wasn't suggesting that. I was merely suggesting to offer my services as a writer to help the moderation team draft a new policy. I wouldn't be doing all the creative work myself. I would simply write the finished product after the moderation team decides what they wanted.

And of course revisions and such as necessary during the writing process.

@IwantRooseveltagain
That’s a new one.
Maybe to you... The rest of us who actually studied history already knew this:

Not surprising you are an anti-vaxer nut case.
Actually I am 100% for safe, effective vaccines. The whole concept of immunity through exposing oneself to a dead virus really did the world a lot of good.

However, mRNA vaccines are neither safe nor effective. The person who invented them blatantly stated this. And even some standard vaccines are neither because of the chemicals and heavy metals put into them. There's at least 30 studies on vaccines that show certain types of vaccines are associated with Autism?

Fun history fact, did you know the first polio vaccine was made wrong and 200,000 children took a defective vaccine? Ah, history. Rife with things that make liberals look like absolute morons:

Trump’s subversive conduct.
The funny thing about this is both the FBI and the Inspector General never found any, despite turning his life upside down.

I’m saying all Nazis are Trump supporters
This is an alternative fact that has never been backed up by any sort of survey, poll, or other statistically sound sampling of the Nazi community. In fact, many Nazis saw Trump as a "goyim" or an outright Jewish person and did not support him at all. Just look at this list of articles that Yandex pulled from neo-nazi and white supremacy sites on Trump:

Did you drink Clorox to clean the body after Trump suggested it? Or shine bright lights into the body to give it a cleansing?
No. Because that wasn't what Trump was talking about and also because I am not stupid and read the warning labels on products before I buy them so I know how dangerous they can be. I even try to avoid using bleach in general and opt more for vinegar because bleach can cause brain damage if inhaled and can also damage skin if

Further, on the UV light comment, that is actually a commonly-practiced method of sanitation for surfaces, water, and air. The concentrated UV light has been shown in multiple studies to kill harmful germs, viruses, and bacteria.

all Trump supporters are stupid.
I actually have a professionally tested IQ of 144. And I recently took Psychology Today's Classical IQ test and scored a 120. I screenshotted it but unfortunately you can't post photos in the forum yet. Probably for good reason. I also probably would have done better if I didn't take it at midnight after a long day of work and doing a bunch of puzzle games that day.

I also took multiple other IQ tests online about a month ago and scored between 120-165. So I am definitely not stupid by any means.

Like most liberals you have once again proven to have no idea what you're talking about.

@IwantRooseveltagain
boycotting Nazi wannabes is such a Nazi thing to do.
Are you saying all Trump supporters want to be Nazis?

Honestly sometimes I wonder what planet you live on.

I am a Trump Supporter and I despise Nazis with a passion. And I see far more of it on the political left than on the political right. But it is definitely present on both sides.

The Democrats implemented damn near everything in the last 6 years that the Nazis did in Germany in the 1930s-40s. TO THE LETTER.

The Nazis had welfare. The Nazis required vaccines. They called everyone who disagreed with vaccines spreaders of disease and quarantined them even if they weren't sick. The Nazis had impeachment show trials. The Nazis burned down businesses. The Nazis wanted certain people barred from gun ownership. And the Nazis argued that democracy needed to be preserved by taking over government and impeaching people who don't support their views. The Nazis had people who went around boycotting businesses, destroying neighborhoods, and doxxing people they didn't like.

If you replaced Nazi with Democrat and then looked over the past 6 years it would be a mirror image.

This isn't to say there aren't rather draconian members of the Republican Party and even those who also mirror Nazi policies and sentiment. There are. But most Trump Supporters were VEHEMENTLY OPPOSED to what the Democrats did in the last 6 years. If anything they had more in common with Bonhoeffer than Hitler in 1930-40s Germany.

Oh, and FWIW, I am not a conservative or a mainline republican. In fact, these days I don't even see the point in voting for many of them, many of them are diet totalitarians and the people George Orwell warned us about. I am a voluntaryist, which has one cardinal rule in public policy: no forcing people to do things against their will in any capacity. Every single human interaction and relation must be conducted with 100% voluntary actions.

Voting Policy Is In Need Of A Rewrite
We tried that on DDO when I was the voting moderator, and it didn't yield much more than complaints about its length.
Well if doesn't have to be a million pages long. The current one is kinda long, too. Specificity does not entail extreme length.

The Swedish are a very specific people, but they are also really brief when speaking.

I am just saying that maybe something along the lines of a "how-to" style that also lists straightforward rules would be more straightforward than what is currently there.

The original U.S. Constitution was only 9 pages, but it created a government for an entire country and inspired many other countries to follow suit. So certainly we could craft a more straightforward and detailed Vote Policy in 3 pages or less. It could even just be straightforward rules listed succinctly for each of the 5 categories.

Well I personally don't think it needs to be stricter. I just think the rules need to be clearer. The mods do a great job getting to votes and providing their reasons succinctly.

To me, the problem is that the Voter Policy is too vague to be enforced properly. So this could cause an APPEARANCE of a lack of strictness.

This is coming from watching about 10 votes being recently taken down, many by top debaters on this website. To me that says the policy is not clear enough to most people.

I am not roping you into it. I am citing past events. It is true that you, of all people, have been very vocal over the voting policy's enforcement.

 I don't necessarily think the problem is with the enforcing but rather the way the policy itself is written. So much of it is open to interpretation.

Is Josephus a real historical figure?
This has been quite a stimulating read.

It is also true that the vast majority of archaeological finds have not been translated yet. They are sitting in universities or warehouses collecting dust.

Moreover, to automatically assume a text is a forgery simply because it was written 500 years after the person's supposed existence is logically incoherent, IMHO.

For starters, the act of copying manuscripts was the way historical records were preserved for thousands of years. It was not just Christians who engaged in this process. Jewish, Roman, and other societies did this as well.

So to claim that the records must be forgeries because they include certain things is to claim that people just changed history willy-nilly without consequences. Which is problematic because someone else could just have pulled out their manuscript and said "wait a minute here, that is a forgery. He never said that."

I think the fact that we don't have anyone going around at that time period correcting the supposed "forgeries" speaks more volume about the documents than the fact they say incredible things.

For instance, the gnostic gospels were repeatedly denounced by both the Apostles and their pupils as false records.

Notes from students at Plato's university show he responded to kritiks of his work back in his day.

And the Roman historians meticulously documented everything, as did Christian historians like Tertullian. In fact it is mainly Tertullian and Roman historians who sometimes go at it over the same events, citing the same historians. Tertullian is known as one of the greatest historians in history.

So my point is, with someone like Josephus, who was cited by damn near everyone, surely there would have been SOMEONE who questioned the citations from the eras they were used. It isn't as if just one group of people had all the records in the entire world. Multiple people had copies of the records in question.

But, even if we ignore all of that line of reasoning, to assume something is mythological because it is incredible is not logically sound.

If, in the 1800s, a man from the future came and talked about small computers we carry in our pockets that have access to an internet which holds almost all of the collective human knowledge and allows two people who are not near to each other to converse and see videos of each other. Then if he said we invented a flying object that goes into space and lands on planets, people, even scientists at that time, would have called him crazy. That doesn't mean it wouldn't happen.

Voting Policy Is In Need Of A Rewrite
After two of my votes were reported and removed, I just figured I had no idea how voting worked on this site because I am newer and only ever voted on DDO. I figured with time I would figure it out and also had a lengthy conversation with whiteflame about how to properly vote on this site.

But now that Undefeatable, Oromagi, Vici, and others who have come to be known as staples on this website have also had their votes reported and removed, I am beginning to suspect that nobody on this site other than the mods can actually come away with understanding the voting policy clear enough to cast a proper vote for a debate.

I think a very straightforward, detailed rewriting of the Voter Policy covering what is and is not proper for each voting category -- based on a pre-defined, agreed-upon standard -- would make a HUGE difference and give mods time to engage in more pressing matters than constantly having to review and remove votes and then debate with users over whether there was vote manipulation from the removals or not and other things related to people casting their ballots.
