I think I have a similar singing style (deeper toned but not massively deeper) than Keane's singer and therefore I am very, very similar to a lot of that 'type' such as the Killers (not British, I know), John Lennon and even if you were to tone his voice to go deep instead of high when it went loud, James Blunt.
I can genuinely sing a long to those songs when I'm home alone and hit every note and stuff, I just got no interest in the fame (nor would I admit and want my identity revealed if I'd done a youtube cover of them). So, the reason I like that kind of soft-soft rock is a lot to do with my own ability to sing along to it.
OHH SYMPATHeeeeyyy where HAVE YOU GAAAWN
I'm gettin old and I need somethin' to reLAAi on
so TELL me Wheeen you're gonna let me in
I'm gettin TIRED and I need SOMewhere to begIIIiiin
no, that song has a lot of edm in it. the genre 'pop' doesn't exist, it means popular at the time aimed to please the general/generic audience.
Pop has gone from being rock-oriented to being edm-oriented from the previous generation to now. Before the rock generation it was rock 'n' roll and country oriented.
back in the day, Mozart was a pop artist, now we call him classical.
does Oasis and Keane count as what you see as good rock or are they too soft?
I got a lot of stuff that someone into softer British rock would like but I wasn't sure the others would enjoy it, it's also why I didn't go for an obvious choice like The Beatles
I'm shocked Reece docked me for the very Round I had put a song I was sure he'd love and that same Round I reckoned Zedvictor wouldn't enjoy, he really did.
I played it very relatively safe this time vs any of these I've done before but I could afford to as I felt that only someone into the very specific type of oldschool soft rock that BPD was presenting would vote him to win and that niche may still have enjoyed my round 3, camila cabello and the 'colors' Round.
I liked BPD's Round 4 and 3 quite a bit and actually personally don't dislike his music choice as much as you guys do but I was sure he was going too far in that direction that if I stuck to solid all-rounders except the Round he brought rap (where I gave an all-rounded rap kind of), I'd secure victory.
I am actually very curious what Ramshutu scores though because Ramshutu's taste is both towards my edm stuff and towards BPD's oldschool rock stuff
I'm not necessarily saying your way can't win but this crowd here has almost 0 voters on these debaters that are into hiphop itself, they're just taking a dip into the genre so idk if your 'average' is correct but we'll see, I've already been proven wrong in the past 2 debates.

I don't need to research shit, I already know it. It actually was Lil Wayne and Birdman that inspired it, not Gucci Mane who copied them and got credit when really what he invented was new age Trap. Mumbling and being shallow was already being done before Gucci did it.
Jelani Blackman is not a mumble rapper that's a bullcrap insult, neither is Hopsin.
your taste seems to prefer softer, emotional rap but I was banking on a voter like that showing up on a website that isn't as rap-oriented as this.
My selection would have included my Round 1 and 2 probably even for a hiphop oriented crowd but my latter 3 rounds may be different (thought my round 3 is impressive af, there's other Apathy or Pharaohe songs that are more 'wow factor' for the rap fan crowd).
I didn't expect a fan of hard EDM to prefer softer rap but I appreciate the vote and understand your type/taste. Do you prefer edm with very little lyrics then?
needs to be more focused on an element of rap tracks if we rematch, so that we can actually debate not just upload links. If we do too many of these rated, they'll ask to shut it down.
Your Round 5 was very strong, I liked your Round 1 also. The rest are not at a tier of production and rapping that I'd land here but Aesop Rock is a skilled rapper, don't get me wrong.
Your round 5 I was considering to use but found the lyrics and delivery style may not please many.
Kung Fu vs Wrestling, Round 2 grapple is overrated. ;)
it is a complex vote, you never defined 'better' and I want to be precise on why the winner won.
it's unrated, so be as harsh as you want, curious what you think.

give a split of 7-0, 5-2 or 4-3 depending how close you think it is,
Alternatively just give 7
don't do 6-1 that is a pointless split

nice, can always rely on ramshutu to secure my defeat even when opponent flaked
keep your ears close to the ground if you want fire you'll enjoy the burn of.
go talk to someone who hasn't blocked you, or are you incapable of that
please think before you type, what you just said is insulting to nobody except transgender people that you just trivialised the suffering of.
This is what you think good music is:

not true, I specifically picked songs that had good delivery and flow, meaning they sound better than they are necessarily lyrically.
You just got no clue about rap, you like really annoying raps on overly synthed electronic beats.

try to call that mumble rap, you don't know shit
Let me show you some bars from Jelani's song:
"Tango Lima

holy shit reece's vote triggered me beyond belief, he has no clue at all about rap i am done ever engaging in this shit
you think hopsin's song was mumble rap?!!! the chorus was crystal clear WTF
how the FUCK was nobody's son mumble rap? really gtfo
the song I linked to is the one I meant, I changed my mind and changed the links but forgot to change the song name
FUCK i WROTE A WRONG SONG NAME
I meant sacrilege of fatal arms
giving word burglar 10/10 and sa-roc forever 5/10 alone talks of the taste of ramshutu.
you should have 3 judges, this way it won't end in a tie (unless the judge ties it) but one biased judge can't ruin it.
It should be that you both agree on one and the opponent and you pick the other 2 personally.
you should have voted which you enjoyed more, as long as it was rap
I can't say I enjoyed a single second of that track.

curious if you'd want to vote on this
you always troll everything anyway, expected nothing more from you. You didn't possibly tie that many
ther'es so much more to rap than just instant aural pleasure, like lyrics and flow of the lyrics
you only won this by a troll vote.
curious if you'd care to vote, pls explain a tiny bit on each
joke of a vote. honestly just a joke.
pls vote

why is bigpimpdaddy voting Pro?

"the cat has next to 0 iq by nature,"
I meant EQ, fuck.
in his ruthlessness, yes
it is extremely obvious I meant Nanno, there isn't a character named Nonnu in it that I know of.
I typod, Nanno not Nonnu. sorry about it
okay
no because it is there to avoid a bullshit kritik by Con
and where is that called ff in your pasted description?
perhaps read what you post and then look at the debate...
how is this an FF?
he did not fully forfeit
