I will not be campaigning to my supporters on PM, only discussing 'about it' to a select couple as that's the rules.

As for messaging you, I supported 3RU7AL's method from the start.

No need for you to hold the cards. Keep it public yet anonymous.

I can say I was drastically more controversial on DDO and recieved zero bans, because often max would just message me and help me determine where the lines were.
I want this. I want mods to communicate much more and rehabilitate users instead of silently waiting to ban them after a while.

Not one science study that says Covid was a meaningful threat to kids under 18, even the super fat ones.
Actually those with underlying health issues had to worry but the reason they had to quarantine children is that all children live with adults.

Sorry RM, I am done playing polite with you. You are being a huge douchebag to airmax, and it's pathetic. Especially coming from someone who seeks to represent the community and the website.
You were never polite to me, so much so you even disrespected consent regarding screenshots of me elsewhere.

You are a very impolite guy overall and pride yourself on being it so I'm unsure why this would be something you think would surprise me. You have been a complete displeasure to deal with during this campaign process, not because you are against me but the way you've done it. You go beyond what others do and directly try to make me seem evil and sinister.

Okay, I can think of other examples like writerdave and that q-guy (I forgot the usename) who was an antitheist contantly debating against it, even voting biased based on it. Airmax permad him from the get-go because everyone agreed he was annoying.

Airmax is a skilled mod, I don't deny it. He is skilled at keeping the most popular and prominent members of a community satisfied by only caring what they think. This is how he's always worked. Wylted was popular despite his severe views and other stuff I won't mention.

I think this is different to the Milgram Experiment because the vaccines actually vaccinate.

Whether they're using the data on who obeyed faster vs later vs never did and who resisted mRNA vaccines vs tried their best to get hold of them, I don't know. I can imagine what such data will be used for later on though and it could be akin to how a worldwide Milgram Experiment's results could be used but it measures something different.

Milgram involved knowingly dishing out sadistic acts that one knew would brutally harm, whereas the ones jabbing people with vaccines believe they are not harming at all. As for the recipients of the vaccines it's a different variation of obedience being measured.

Thoughts on the candidates and who to vote for
-->
@Mikal
This site is an extension of the prior one. The role of president is meant to serve the community, this community came from ddo which was a community he was active in for 10 years. The amount of posts or activity on this site is irrelevant as he is representing the user base which are mostly familiar with him.

The fact that he was so lenient with ima is a testament to why he should be a moderator. Had that happened here, Ima would have been permaed ages ago and he did not deserve a perma. Your perma was for entirely different reasons and something that is not worth rehashing. But yes most of his bans have been spot on, and if they were not spot on, he could logically walk you through his thought process and defend it and in most cases help you understand it. You are never going to have everyone agreeing with everything that you do, but he was always able to defend and rationalize his choices in a very coherent way.
He is selectively lenient, completely double-standard.

However, the only reason I know that is to do with stuff from the era and website I'm saying should be left out of this election, therefore I am conflicted in myself whether or not to bring up DDO stuff to point out flaws with him as a candidate as I am also saying DDO era is not really that relevant anymore.

So should my best friend elsewhere be president here? No. This isn't about who we like best outside of this website, this is about who has proven themselves here.

Airmax1227 has completely been inactive, posting only 80-someting posts for the 3 and a half years that this website existed prior to that thread where he posted to get his post count up to 90.

Max knows these lines better than any member on this site past or present.
Baseless appeal to authority.

From what I recall, he banned every single prominent cause of drama on the website, where he had nuance was picking and choosing who was temp vs permabanned.

Though, in the Religion Forums he left it to rot.

We are not allowed to discuss with others on PM, that violates the PM rule.

Then again, they won't tell and honestly I myself find the rule really annoying to have to abide by. I'd love to be discussing some things on PM with Oromagi or others.

t really is a neat bit of CSS and I hate CSS, so. But I don't think this site ever turns up on a google search and DDO did. If you want this site to grow, that's first stop. Page rank algorithms, rewrite the whole thing in C++, I dunno.
That's why we need to censor some extremist posts, so that it doesn't get associated with that on Google's ranking. It's something you don't realise.

If your question isn't rhetorical, hate speech can be defined as follows:

any kind of communication in speech, writing or behaviour, that attacks or uses pejorative or discriminatory language with reference to a person or a group on the basis of who they are, in other words, based on their religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, colour, descent, gender or other identity factor.

However, I would like to say that on this debate website, religion being under attack will not be moderated unless the bullying and words used are extreme. Religion is something to be debated but one's ethnicity, nationality, race/colour, gender and other identity factors (like height) are off-grounds to be attacking or challenging.

There is no reason to be active on this site where it stands currently with moderation.
Definitely not if you don't give a damn about the website and community, that's true.
If you can be banned for being controversial, it really undermines the reason to stay here. The president now has an oppertunity to change that and make this a site worth being active on.
I am infinitely more controversial than he is and I use it anyway, so does Wylted. It's about passion.

Whatever you say about Wylted, he actively used the website completely independent of pushing for power, it's the one thing I can't say about him as an opponent, nor 3RU7AL. Max only wants the power, you guys are only pushing for him as you know he'll be a loyal buddy and keep you guys unbanned if you bullied and harassed someone. That's the only reason you want him in power, it really is that transparent.

If, however, Wylted doesn't drop out, I predict he will take more support base away from Wylted than from me. So, from that perspective, I'm down for his running but frankly if this website had any criteria on running, Airmax1227 wouldn't qualify as a candidate due to how truly inactive he's been.

Airmax had only 90 posts here (still has barely more) when running for President.

He has not cared about the website the past 3.5 years of its existence, he's here with power as his goal. It's very blatant.

If this is somehow serious, why can't he accept his era is over?

He's washed up, barely uses this website and isn't as universally liked as he thinks he was. I'm not saying this just out of grudge, the dude has 90 posts, I wouldn't vote any user here with only that.

He may have been what you see as a great DDO leader, he may even be a 'natural leader' but in DART, he has no right to be the President this election. The fact he'd only be active now and only promise activity if he won shows a total lack of any loyalty or dedication to the website. I will literally vote Wylted over Airmax though and that's not just out of spite.

Airmax is corrupt to the fucking core. I don't need to justify what side of him I've seen, he doesn't understand how to put justice above loyalty to a clique. He is not a good site president he's a good frat leader.

Here are the questions.

Question 1

How will you approach forming a working relationship with whiteflame?

Question 2

ll you defend members from unfair censorship, if they have moral values you find repugnant?

And let's say the defense would be you having to defend their right to argue in favor of something disgusting. For example.

1. A user hates women and posts a bunch of arguments arguing they are inferior in some way. They are then banned for hate speech. Will you defend them? Let's leave out examples of mere proselytizing and promoting hate, those probably should be banned, but just focus on making arguments.

2. How will you help a user whose posts provide good arguments for an ignorant position, but say supa locks the thread because it could result in a heated debate on a debate site.

Question 3

Are you capable of proving your ability to use discretion.  The ability to use discretion is important to a working relationship.  Let's say you earn whiteflames trust and he starts leaning heavy on you as an advocate for users he interacts with less than you.

A lot of those conversations may be very private and ugly facts about users could come out that was only the privy of mods. Say whiteflame concludes a particular case of harassment is not harassment and the user should go unpunished. You guys fight hard over it and he basically says "fuck you, not banning the harasser " . Your only two options are

1. Drop your argument and let the harasser get away with it

Or

2. Air your personal grievances with whiteflame publicly and break his trust and ruin the relationship necessary for a working relationship.

Will you and can you be trusted to take option 1.

I know I have the ability to maintain that relationship with whiteflame and have previously proven it as I have interacted with him a lot off site and we have both told each other personal things, and both of us have seen each other never betray that trust.  Can whiteflame trust you like he trusts me, so a working relationship is possible?
Loaded stuff. Your intention was to either make me seem corrupt, baiting me to need to do so or make me seem dumb and incompetent. Either way you'd work behind the scenes to make Pie win. Your plan changed when I told you I don't respect you.

I know, it’s weird. Maybe it is because he has a unique way of looking at the world, maybe it is because I can tell that despite his flaws, he really does have a deep sense of empathy. Either way I can’t help but to like him, so him lashing out at me in the thread and saying he has no respect for me and could care less about my vote, to a certain extent hurt my feelings.

His emotional responses aren’t conducive to good leadership. Good leadership requires tempered reason, when a leader has only soft power on their side, it requires a lot of diplomacy which isn’t something that can be done, when you act without thinking
Which emotional responses would they be?

I've kept my cool throughout even when I'm harsh. You're just painting a narrative you want. I believe I have literally lost 0 votes by any move I made, me making clear where I stood with you drove you to replace Pie as the candidate.

Do you realise how much less electable you are than Pie? I'd step down for Oromagi if he truly ran, it's a safer bet for the agenda I believe he'd stand for. You stood in for Pie because you got ties to the OGs and figured you wouldn't lose votes but you did, your antics backfired and your impulses are driving every move you make during this election, from dropping out (fake) from public campaigning (you never really did, just avoided your own thread) to this thread itself.

What exactly is this thread designed to achieve? Make you seem like the humbler party? Let me guess, all the arrogance was satire? Is that your solution to everything? 'I was only kidding'?

However, we have some recent examples of RM, lashing out with the very people who he needs to persuade once he is in office. The examples appear elsewhere but occur strongly in this thread. https://www.debateart.com/forum/topics/7118-should-we-crack-down-on-members-of-the-religion-forum
