Growing Older I've Lost Identity To A Political Party
-->
@Vader
To put it simply, I trust corporations more than I trust government.
I could not sum up the naivety and pseudoethics of right-wing Libertarianism better than your first sentence when you expand on your views. You are a genuine right-wing Libertarian; a corporatist without any agenda other than raw profit at the cost of any and all ethics.

At least you are honest about it. That sentence is genuinely what all right-wing Libertarians do and it is most astounding that very few would admit that in fighting against the 'wrath of government', they enable the wrath of corporations (that would happily profit at the sake of anyone and anything) to unleash without mercy.

Conservatives Are Being Silenced
America is the only nation on the entire planet, in the history of nations and societies that ever did exist, where it is considered an 'inherent right' to speak and communicate the highest degree of vitriol and bullshit. Many Americans would go so far as to say that the most important right is the right to spread lies and incite hatred within the people, that very inevitably but technically indirectly leads to violence via hate crimes and other things such as stampeding into the White House and breaking Nancy Pelosi's name-board out of a combination of sexism (notice how they hate all female politicians) and sheer hypocritical arrogance (if the left wing did that to a right-wing politician's name-board, they'd be up in literal arms).

In all nations other than America, the right to chat shit and spread abusive messages is never held above the safety of the people and serenity of national peace/harmony. The US is the only nation that has this utter nonsense engraved in its constitution as an irrevokable and unbreakable 'right' ranked above the safety and serenity of the people.

Leftists do not hate America, you are correct that those that hate America tend to actually be right-wing and the only examples of violent insurrection in America, both very recently and in the past, has been done by right-wing-sided Anarchists as well as international hatred from right-wing Sharia nations.

Leftists wish America would join the rest of the highly developed world and be a social democracy rather than moving towards Fascism. It is the right-wing who despise America and declare it needs to be made 'great again' because they are sick of its shift towards caring for the poor and vulnerable.

GDP is only one metric of economics, in other metrics of economics, they fail. Average disposable income becomes lower than ever, the longer it has been since a Democrat was in power. This is because Democrats tax more progressively and use the tax money far more efficiently for things that actually help those in the nation that need it, rather than putting the funding into the military because they've pissed off every nation on the planet except for Saudi Arabia.

If they are idiots, how come the countries economy does better under Republican presidents?
Aside from the fact this is untrue, they often try to force a surge in GDP by sacrificing all other areas of concern politically. They inprove some superficial stats when really they've merely made life hell for the poor and just display that because companies pay less and don't need to clena up wate products, they have somehow done well. The oil leak Obama inherited was due to Bush era letting BP get away with massive breaches of ecological welfare responsibility. The lets BP spend less and say it has inproved US economy, Republicans love to cut corners.

If they are idiots, how come the countries economy does better under Republican presidents? And is Biden the Democrats idea of a genius? Does reality matter to them?
Your first question is a total lie. Every single time Republicans are in power for an extended period, the world trades less with and grows more resentful/hostile towards US the longer they remain in place.

Every single time a Democrat is in power, the opposite happens, this is universally true and the correlation has become stronger, not weaker, over time.

Your latter 2 questions are loaded and nonsensical. Noone said Biden is a genius in this thread. Geniuses are introverts almost always and introverts don't go into politics.

Oh there is plenty, I have done other threads on some highlights. The key is deeper than any one written verse though, it lies in truly observing a few things.

Firstly, Lucifer couldn't be smited down to Hell, there was no Hell in the OT. Let's start there.

The 'Lord God' (the father) is a version of god that Lucifer/Jesus invented and depicted in a narrative he wished to use in order to depict the perception he had of the God he'd actually had to deal with and call that father the devil/Satan.

God of the OT is the character that Jesus and gis disciples (except for Judas) see as a separate entity named Satan.

Upcoming Referendum: Updated Voting Policy!
When it comes to voting on debates, policy doesn't really matter, enforcement does.

Whatever policy is written won't change much about the culture of junk-filled RFDs. Especially not when we get punished for reporting and have flagging option deleted from our accounts, rather than asking us why we reported them. There is not much to gain from adding more jargon into the CoC, the problem lies in who is in charge of enforcement.

Trump is the type of dude to date a woman's ex boyfriend just to prove that he's superior, only to realise all too late that this would make him bisexual, at which point he'd deny that they dated and say it was 'a tiny occasion, just him meeting me and you know, it was not all that.'

I am only slightly exaggerating.

It is predicted to take at least 2 weeks to work, if she got the vaccine less than 2-3 weeks ago, that would be why. The vaccines are all still in the equivalent of a late trial run, even though they've been released. They're fairly guaranteed to have no severe side effects but in terms of their capacity to stop Covid and its spread, they are all not fully confirmed but to be honest you can't test or confirm something like that until real world application.

Celebrities are all rich enough to thrive, not just survive, in isolation with top tier healthcare in privately hired sense, not even public.

Any, such as Tom Hanks and Boris Johnson, who are famous and got it, got the top tier healthcare and Johnson actually was treated with public healthcare, not Private though he did get possibly some private nurses to assist at some point.

I am not sure what you want here exactly.

touch wood all should be well, rest and get a lot of vitamin C and protein. The biggest thing people forget is that while resting indoors we lack vitamin D more than C; D matters to the immune system. Vitamin D is what you get from sunlight, I would advise to get a supplement.

I am neither going to ignore you nor directly address your misdirective loaded angles.

Let me ask you about Trump and stop you redirecting it away from him.

Trump rose to power first and foremost by raising a conspiracy theory based on sheer racism and prejudice; he stated that Obama was not a real US citizen because he was black, specifically of Kenyan heritage, and had an Islamic middle name. Why didn't he demand the birth certificate of George W. Bush? It is simply racism, do not even try to deny it or say anything about it.

From that 'footing' he build a foundation of his support base who had been otherwise silenced since the KKK's heydays (don't go into how Lincoln was a Republican, we both know he was a racist who simply ended slavery to stop a civil war, the 'south' that was then against him are now the Republican support base, except for California and the swing states who have swing towards Dems this last election).  The reason most people had never even heard of organisations like the 'Proud Boys' and other neonazi offshoots of the 'KKK ethos' is that they were silenced and knew if they spoke loud and proud of their racist, bigoted beliefs that there'd be backlash. Trump inspired something in many of these types who had been tame and ranting in a quiet corner, to suddenly being a dangerous united front that no longer were ashamed of their unbelievably disgusting and immoral beliefs and means of acting on those beliefs if they had their way.

Trump paced his racism, avoiding being directly racist against blacks until after the 2016 election when his staff and he began using terms like 'shithole nations' and avoiding criticism of neonazi militias, going so far as to say 'there were fine people on both sides' or something along those lines when asked what he thought about a severe hate crime event. As his career progressed over the four years, he slipped the mask down more and more until eventually he stopped hiding his resentment for blacks, which he'd shown towards the Central Park Five, refusing to admit he was wrong about their guilt as rapists and that they no longer deserved the death penalty.

He is a president who literally advocated for 'guilty before proven innocent' for five black teenagers in one of the most prolific examples of police brutality and framing under George W. Bush's regime (another Republican with very few morals but that's another debate for another day).

Due process means something sometimes and nothing at other times.

If due process meant nothing at all, the election would be declared a fraud and Biden's genuine victory would be declared fallacious just because an angry mob grabbed metaphorical pitchforks and threw a non-metaphorically dangerous tantrum.

So, you and I do agree, due process means something. At other times, it clearly doesn't mean much or there'd be no corruption in the world in the first place.

Due process for Trump goes beyond imprisoning him, he has scarred the nation in a way that is so deep and damaging it may carry over three generations before the nation and culture of US has properly healed from what he's done to it and abused his influence to achieve cultivating.

I don't want to link to or quote a lunatic QAnon supporter or whatever else. If you don't believe that Trump was behind things, engineering them with every intention of taking the white house by brute force and intimdation, then you are simply ignorant and it takes about 6 minutes of searching articles online to get yourself informed at a basic level that already would open your mind on the matter. It's your choice, I am not here to spoonfeed you the truth.

The entire Trump legacy, in business and law/politics, is stained beyond repair.

The only hope any single of his family has, to avoid being associated with the vile narcissism and insanity that he brought to US culture and politics, is to disassociate from the Trumps completely. I am not saying that it would be easy to do so but I am indeed suggesting that there is no way whatsoever for them to escape the stain on 'Trump'.

He has thoroughly ruined everything he built legacy-wise. Good job Donald, your grandchildren will grow up despised for sins of their grandfather.

I will just like to say goodbye.
This time I have really gotten bored of debating, I'm not quitting because I'm addicted to debating but because I'm bored of it. I just posted a round of simple argumentation to one debate and that's it I am done here.

I know what you are thinking but I just wanted you to know that I am done with debating and that I never joined this site to 'rise to the top' in and of itself, I came to be the best at debating even if the Elo didn't show it. The competitiveness was for show and in reality I am more humble than a lot of you realise but that's fine by me.

I think it has gotten to a point where I enter a debate, know the ways it can pan out and get too bored to 'type it out' and passionately fight to the end.

Even if I tried and then lost, even that loss no longer seems to be based on an actual error of logic on my part but instead an error in grasping how voters perceive strength of arguments and what matters more vs less, this even applies to rap battles and songs.

I do appreciate what spending (not wasting) my life debating on this website has done for me and I may come on now and again as a forum chatter. I guess Trump losing and some other things going well for me IRL have led to me finally understanding that I don't need to argue my way through life in actuality, even if I'm right. People really are capable of seeing truth at times and when they don't it's not really my duty to 'prove them wrong' other than those that really matter to me and seek my wisdom and vice versa, no one's duty to convince me of the truth if I believe a lie.

I think that true strategy dictates that we avoid the need to debate as much as possible, even if we are lawyers. Instead the superior strategist uses evidence and relies on 'common sense' notions which (if wrong) they gently nudge but don't brutally say is 'wrong'. These are the people who actually go furthest in life and prove people wrong in any true sense.

I can sit here all day typing and what have I achieved? In the past, I gained wisdom but it seems that I'm no longer learning 'how to think' or 'how to debate', just 'how to angle the debating so that voters back me up'. It's not fun, it's not rewarding and I also never really got over how David/Virtuoso and Ragnar betrayed me the way they did and never once admitted they were wrong.

If I combine everything together, this is a place I no longer gain wisdom, joy or even anything close to friendship from. That's why I am done regularly engaging here. You can think whatever you want about me and 'bet when he will return'. I seriously don't see me coming back to actually debate, I may come back to post rarely in the forums because I feel like sometimes there really is information to garner from someone who's more researched in a political, theological or whatever else realm and challenging them is a good way to open your mind based on their reply. Other than that, there's not much keeping me here, I have to finish off the fantasy football league but that doesn't require me to use this website. I think I'll get fourth there, out of ten. Which isn't that bad considering how little I knew of the sport or the game structure of fantasy football to begin with.

I may get sixth though, who knows? Thanks for giving me wisdom and a hobby for a long while in my life.

How strong of a debater is [Barney], actually?
-->
@seldiora
So what? Ragnar's hugest strength is picking fights wisely, you're saying that's an issue. Debating is very set-from-start in terms of whocb side has more paths to victory, it's not like Roy truly 'won' his debates agaaonst those debaters, he just somehow was seen as better in the eyes of voters and risked a lot.

He's actually extremely strong. I think you should stop making these posts before you know what you even mean by 'strong' debater.

I prefer the term 'skilled' because a debater such as myself is skilled at weakening my opponent rather than myself being very strong.

Ragnar is actually extremely strong and understands both voter perception and the mechanics of burden of proof on each contention itself in ways very few do. He never lets the opponent have a free argument pass by and delivers many strong ones of his own, with the rebuke to the rebuttal to each of his points already prepared in his mind, I am sure.

I have never once seen Ragnar be in a situation where he doesn't know how to counter the opponent. He thinks the entire debate through start-to-end in all ways it can play out, prior to engaging in it.

I think Trump's scared of being prosecuted. Maybe he should resign so Pence can pardon him legitimately. (i.e. no self-pardon issue)
Pence is done with Trump. He's probably fuming at what a joke Trump has made of Pence's ending of his career as a politician. Pence's age is why he knows his career was heading towards full retirement, he wanted to go out peacefully and respectfully, instead this idiot had to embarass him beyond belief. Notice how Pence never agreed with Trump on this shit?

Key takeaways from this election
-->
@HistoryBuff
if harris goes into an election against a populist, she will lose. People don't want a "return to normal". They wanted the chaos of the trump presidency to end, that is true, but the underlying causes of why trump won in the 1st place are still there. People want change.
Pretty sure a half Carribbean, half Tamil female is change in itself. Not sure what you think she lacks but whatever, you are a poser left-winger as I have already said. You just dislike her because of reasons unknown to anyone but yourself. She is not chaotic, that is true, she will bring change in an organised, strategic manner... I don't see anything wrong with that at all, especially when the change itself will be positive, left-wing and wholesome without a doubt.

Could there be competition? Of course there can, her main competitor will be Warren. I don't mind which of the two wins but based on who is less severely left-wing and how Americans vote, I think you and I both know that Harris is the better option in terms of who can easier beat a right-wing candidate.

The feminist glass-ceiling does matter, the problem with Clinton was that it was the only thing she kept emphasising about herself. Harris and Warren will never make that mistake.
