I have no reason to speak fondly of a community that bullied me relentlessly even on DA they continued to until I put every fucking one of them in their place. A member of a family, society or anything other than themselves is harming those around them with the effects of say, drugs or whatever else on them (side effects or main effect, it's irrelevant). If that's the kind of thing you're referring to, it's all about chain reactions and indirect harm. A drugged worker works less well, too, so there isn't even an economic benefit unless we're talking caffeinated workers.

There are not real positives or negatives in terms of 'good trait' or its counterpart in life. Everything is about context. A psychopath is one of the best people to help you take on a psychopath. Naruto is the only mainstream Anime I ever saw that I felt had far, far, far more depth put into the storyline than others of its league of popularity and financial success. It has such intricate reflection of real world alternate views of what morality really is without taking any real bias to one way or the other.

In Naruto there genuinely is no good guy, this becomes more blatant as the series goes along. It's so easy to assume Naruto and Konoha are the 'good' but what if you were the Uchiha (I won't spoil anything more than that)... There is so much depth to every single Arc, I actually enjoy reading the fan Wikis more than watching it, it's that brilliant.

Death Note of course is a masterpiece but Naruto is both good visually, voice-acting-wise, fight-mechanic-complexity wise etc.

If you took the top 12 selling animes, Naruto is easily among the top 3 in long-term success in sales at all eras after it began to snowball (now changed into Boruto but the same franchise, Boruto is his son that for whatever reason looks like a girl and may end up being trans perhaps that's a plan they have to appeal to a 2019+ audience). On the other hand, if you were to rank the top in-depth storylines all other 11 would flail behind but Naruto is easily in top 3 of anyone's book who actually has looked deep into it. I have heard arguments about One Piece being as deep, LOL! Just LOL! Aside from everything being hideously drawn and the fight mechanics making NO LOGICAL SENSE AT ALL, One Piece's storyline is stereotypical 'root for who we tell you to root for'.

Evil and Good are indeed illusions, it's about if you're being bad to the bad people or not that ends you up being a good guy or not.

You're a selfish being, out to enjoy life and feel pleasant. That's achieved by many means. For some being a Nihilist helps, for others being a disciplined Christian and for even others, being an inbetweener who can say they're a normal good person to their close ones as best as they can be. Chess is a 97% solved game. The 3% lies in how to avoid a stalemate and bait the opponent into a checkmate, which is something that isn't clear to a 'never lose' level of intellect for a supercomputer type or Kasparov-human-brain type. The moves you make to slant the opponent into losing are the same moves that turn a guaranteed stalemate into a potential loss for you. This is why chess is never ever going to be as great as poker in terms of a strategic war; you have a game where you need to yourself force the luck to get a winrate against other 'true masters'. Either you have an issue with the site being too boring etc to keep users and your attack is to the admin and the update-suggestion team (which I quit as I didn't like working with Ramshutu but I still help out with bug finds and public suggestions) or your issue is with the users quitting.

The latter issue is hypocritical, you're drawing an arbitrary line saying 'too new to quit', 'too inactive to justify taking a hiatus'. Thus, your issue may be with the website being not all that appealing. I have news for you, intelligent people who love to spar intellectually in a debating format are rare. That's a given. If, out of that pool of humans, we're still maintaining barely any in this day and age where a site this low-data-demanding should be accessible internationally, then yeah there's stuff to critique but I would say this site is the best debating website out there.

I will tell you why I backed Debate Island and was opposed to this site when the 'where should DDO go' thing happened. It was about wise investment, not monetary... I don't advertise for monetary gain by anything other than legally paid means but for the gain of the online debating community as a whole. You don't get what DI was, it was different to DDO because it did a lot to ensure the crowd that filled polls/opinions, forums and debates respectively on DDO all had to socially integrate on DI, making it so no one was alienated. It was the best out there and really had a community-feel to it but the admin grew 'cold' and unreachable over time, whiteflame's people-skills and ability to translate my rants to the Owner are nearly the only reason I coped there. I have high functioning autism and it makes me struggle at times with wording intelligent and complex things in a way that someone who isn't very 'rationally blessed' in the head can understand. I can't 'learn my way around it' because this comes down to raw way I comprehend language and is a disorder in my head where I genuinely process information like an algorithm so when Aaron, the DI admin, asked me why something had to be changed or ignored my suggestions I'd simply tell him 'because XYZ' and he'd either get it or wouldn't. I was growing tired as fuck of the guy, who clearly had more interest in appealing to the casuals than the tryhard debaters and since this website had an admin who, while shady for not revealing his identity etc, seemed to constantly pay attention to what users wanted and was the only admin ever on a website to truly apologise and forgive me after haphazardly permabanning me on my first week on the website, it told me this website was some place a madman like me could call home.

People who love debating will love that this website is all about quality content. That's all there is to say about it. This website doesn't give one shit about appealing to the masses for now, perhaps it will in the future. You got the forums if you're casual and the debates if you're a tryhard, if you're not into debating you obviously wont enjoy this website and that's something the admin simply accepts.

Point being there's plenty of members in that boat, you have no high horse from which to sit on and complain about inactivity.

Sometimes it helps to understand the struggle of those that irritate us, this is one of those times.

The fact society sooner feels the need to mention the sexual side of adult content than the 'other side' that you barely hit on, highlights ridiculous conservative and religious brainwashing concept of morals that we are instilled with from a young age.

Only western Europe and some African Pagan tribes seem to have some cultures (Scandinavians especially) that have fully understood that the naked body and sex are beautiful things while violence and that side of our banal urges are the stuff to hide from children.

We are built for both sex and violence but it is only the latter that needs to truly be removed from the ideal society, in my Progressive eyes.

Editing the debate should reset the timer/deadline and be a way to not need to copy+paste a new debate. This benefits you because it reduces the duplicate debates stored in your server and database organisation is easier as your key identifier of debates is consistently one-to-one with the actual debates had on the site.

Ramshutu and Virtuoso spend more time on it than I do, as do a lot of forum-only users such as Mopac, Disgusted, Goldtop etc.

I do spend a lot relative to the average user but what you're suggesting is nonsense. I am not spending much more time than my rivals, such as you, I am merely using it brutally efficiently.
