They do get some moments of privacy and those considered not to be senior royals get more privacy unless they do something considered inappropriate and therefore newsworthy. The royals are also subjected to what are professional gossip mongers, the papers frequently feature articles about the royals and those article’s credibility relies on something like “a royal expert has said” “a palace insider has claimed” “a royal source has alleged,” all basically appeals to some anonymous authority. There are also royal biographers who have never spoken to a member of the royal family but rely on similar gossip. Although the royal family has the legal right to sue for libel, it is unlikely that they would do so because of royal protocol, and the media knows this. Stories about the royals sell papers and the gullible lap up all they read.

 

Personally, I am neither pro nor anti royal. Although I do find all the pageantry and ritual fascinating in a surreal sort of way.

Ukraine is going to lose the war. Putin is already showing determination by trying to draft 300,000 volunteers into the army. At the same time Russians are fleeing Russia to avoid the draft and face the Ukrainians military, many others are ready to fight.

This is all happening in Russia under Putin's leadership and during Russia's gains in the Donbas in East Ukraine.

Simple way for seller not to violate the greater consent of a buyer is not to sell. This would mean greater consent of a buyer would be upheld.

In case of child-adult relationship, the greater consent is violated in societies where these relationships are attacked. The greater consent is violated by not allowing a child to have control over body.

Unlike the seller in the example: even if an adult didnt have a relationship with a child, the greater consent of a child would still be violated by society. By preventing the very situation that in free society would happen (the situation that child desires), this society is violating childs greater consent.

President Zelenskyy, to his credit, has now adopted the very clear proposal that ant-war advocates have been making from day one: that we should have an agreement between Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin — of course, with Zelenskyy, and the European Union participating — that makes a very simple trade, a deal. Russia withdraws from Ukraine, and Ukraine withdraws from the Donbas, in exchange for an end to the sanctions and a commitment, by the West, that Ukraine is going to be part of the West but not part of Nato.

The alternative is a very, very, very, very, cold and deadly winter for Ukraine.

And they said: “Greece becomes an independent state, it’s a kind of buffer zone between the Ottoman Empire and the West”. And we were given a chance to exist.

What is your message, then, to people who object to the invasion of Ukraine but also feel deeply uneasy about the West’s involvement? How should they react when they are called Putin supporters?

Be kind. I don’t think you should antagonise anybody these days, because there is so much antagonism already. Maintain your cool, support the Ukrainian resistance against Putin’s armies. Do not succumb to the silence of militarism and perpetual war. And always keep your eye on the trophy, which is immediate peace, withdrawal of Russian troops and Ukrainian troops from the Donbas — and a Donbas that we all help get back up on its feet.

Well now let's say everybody knows about the defect, but the buyer wants to take it on anyway.

If the seller doesn't think it's a good idea, they are not doing something immoral by selling the house. The buyer, after being given all relevant information possessed by other parties in the interaction, has a right to his or her own judgement.

Although it is moral for the seller to refuse to sell, it is not immoral to sell. The consent of a peer absent of fraud is sufficient. Thus "greater consent" fails to function as the "unified field theory" of moral interaction.

Russia already called the Donbas annexed land by Russia. The referendum was to have the locals in that region accept the land as annexed and now belong to  Russia and therefore should be defended as Russian territory.

With the important condition that Western Ukraine has no say as to what the future of the Donbas will be.

Only the people of Donbas are allowed to decide this.

Indeed Foucault and other post modernists believe that gender is a social construct.

Once again, might =/= right. Your argument hinges on the idea that if we don’t obey God’s moral code we will be sent to hell, but the “objective result” of going to hell is irrelevant to the question of whether said repercussions are moral.

This is the exact same thing as arguing that something is wrong because it’s illegal. In that example, according to your logic, the state would be the “objective standard” for morality.

I wouldn’t torture or murder any myself if I was in prison, but I can understand why other people would. I certainly do think that general mistreatment and social exclusion is justified.

I would say that if there is a pedophile who is going to be let free and is likely to commit harmful acts on children again, it would probably be better for someone like that to not exist.

Them getting murdered by other inmates would be less problematic to me than the possibility of another child being subject to harm because they can’t control themselves.

This is the simple way in which one can understand consent.

I am not claiming to be some parenting guide expert.

However, the current system of raising children is very questionable.

My family in Tampa has evacuated which I think is fine. If they choose to live in fear of wind and rain, that's their prerogative. However I'm outraged that Florida politicians have issued evacuation ORDERS. Police officers are now going door to door in Pinellas County to make sure that people have left the area. This is the gestapo 2.0 and everyone should be terrified. Since when is the government allowed to tell people what to do like this? This is a brand new phenomenon that just started in the year 2020. 

First the police state mandated that everyone stay at home. Now they're demanding that everyone leave! Florida Senator Rick Scott said, "If you're told to evacuate, evacuate now. Not tomorrow. Evacuate right now." Excuse me Mr. Scott but I'm pretty sure Florida values people's freedom so he can kindly shut the fuck up and mind his own business.

The fear mongering by politicians and the media has been a joke.  All week long Hurricane Ian has been dominating the national news - proof the media is just trying to scare as many people as possible even if they're not in any alleged danger. They'll literally say anything for views. 

Not to mention stores across Florida have been completely wiped out. There are shortages and price gouging. Profits are soaring. I mean if you can't see this so called "hurricane" is completely made up  to enrich business owners then I don't know what to tell you. 

I heard another Florida politician on the news tell people to keep checking for updates from scientistsand government officials. He actually said that! He really believes people are going to follow the instructions of the biggest groups of liars on the planet. 

Scientists can't be trusted and least of all meteorologists. The entire field is bought by the climate change industry looking to profit off the alleged global warming. It's well documented that meteorologists get it wrong a good amount of the time, so why is anyone listening to them? 

This tyranny with forced closures is not only hurting small businesses, but KIDS ARE BEING KEPT OUT OF SCHOOL. We all know that US schools are top notch beacons of education, but my cousin has to have class on Zoom today. This is an absolute travesty.  Is this what Florida voters cast their ballot for in the last election? Kids being kept home?    

All of this follows a playbook as old as time and Ron DeSantis is complicit. Mark my words if the "hurricane" comes he will be going to the feds with his hands out looking for relief money.  Joe Biden who is singlehandedly responsible for inflation better not cozy up to Ron and expect anyone to give Florida a penny for this little sun shower that's being blown way out of proportion. I know that some people in FL might be at risk, but honestly if people are so worried about hurricanes they should learn how to swim, buy a boat or leave the area; not close schools, keep people away from their homes and jobs or add to our national debt. What a disgrace.
