I’m distinguishing between creating future lives and making future people (who, according to B-theories of time, exist right now) happy. I place more of a weight on the former, and the latter. 

I think there’s many good arguments for why we should value future people equally, including:

• Thought experiments. My favorite one, adapted from Derek Parfit, is: if I drop a glass bottle in a woods, that would be irresponsible regardless of whether a child that injures themselves on it gets the injury  tomorrow, 100 years, or 500 years from now. Similarly, having a positive rate of pure time preference would mean -- at some point in the future -- the survival of humanity ends up less important than, say, me enjoying a pizza right now. 
  
• According to B theories of time, people in the future do exist right now, because time is just an extension of space -- which is likely true if you take special relativity seriously. In that sense, treating future generations worse is morally equivalent to treating people who’re far away from you worse, and I don’t find that a just conclusion. 
  
• It seems like it’s discrimination against an immutable characteristic. I don’t think you should be disadvantaged just because of when you were born, a characteristic you don’t choose, in decisions made by people in the past.

I have read thousands of threads and what I have noticed is that in the older ones, most constructive posts don't get a single like. Whereas now if you say anything, you are being liked on that forum post. That is a good thing, it shows you that your posts are being read and respected by another fellow user on the site, as well as that it...boosts your like counter and fuels your arrogance...heheh...(although that is not the main point)

But the main thing is that in crucial threads here, most posts get not only a like but two or three, with the exceptionally useful tips getting five or more, whereas they are on par with the quality of posts of generally what you would expect a single like two or three years ago. Liking posts not only has been brought up, but it is a common behavior here. I find myself liking other posts much more often than before, before a certain point I didn't even realize there is a like button, and just read on without showing a feedback of respect even if I do. Discussions are really getting more civil, it seems, as you are firm to be respected no matter which standpoint you are on(although, a Nazi deserves no like on his posts exhibiting this view, obviously). Bottom line, I am pleased with it. Thank you.

I think the distinction you are looking for here is a sense of closure, a sense of what is in the past. Hitler was around 20 years dead, he had died knowing he was defeated, and most of his cronies were held to account, when these shows were made, so it was not the urgent, visceral hatred one might have for the living, especially if that living person appears to be “getting away with it.”

In case of a consensual relationship between an adult and a child, child obviously has desires realized in such relationship.

For example: if child wants pleasure and fun, the relationship allows it.
