I do fight evil every day.  I fight against Atheism and its lies and deceptions.  I fight against corruptness in the church. I fight against those who pursue the death of the most vulnerable in our society.  I fight against the evil in my own life - to bring it under control.
You appear to be drowning in evil. How do you control evil in your life? Are you getting treatment?

vatican and pedophilia today
-->
@Lunar108
one of the things that I hate is how much those priest can talk about how bad homosexuality is
but ironically  multiple members of the vatican are accused of cases for child molestations and most of them are towards young boys :
claiming that homosexuality is bad while molesting young boys .....................................
The church does not see pedophilia and homosexuality as the same thing.  One is about sexually abusing children and the other is about same sex sex between consenting adults.

Pedophilia is an ongoing sexual attraction to pre-pubertal children. It is a paraphilia, a condition in which a person's sexual arousal and gratification depends on objects, activities, or even situations that are considered atypical. Pedophilia is defined as recurrent and intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors involving sexual activity with a prepubescent child or children—generally age 13 years or younger—over a period of at least six months. Pedophiles are more often men and can be attracted to either or both sexes.

It forces us to question the Bible as a historically reliable source.

Historically reliable sources are sometimes hard to discern but I wouldn’t have included the Bible amongst them.
If the bible is not historically accurate and the events in it are fabrications. Then what credibility does the  Bible have.

Are JWs christians?
Let’s hear what the JWs say.

Yes. We are Christians for the following reasons:

  We try to follow closely the teachings and behavior of Jesus Christ.—1 Peter 2:21.

  We believe that Jesus is the key to salvation, that “there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”—Acts 4:12.

  When people become Jehovah’s Witnesses, they are baptized in the name of Jesus.—Matthew 28:18, 19.

  We offer our prayers in Jesus’ name.—John 15:16.

  We believe that Jesus is the Head, or the one appointed to have authority, over every man.—1 Corinthians 11:3.

However, in a number of ways, we are different from other religious groups that are called Christian. For example, we believe that the Bible teaches that Jesus is the Son of God, not part of a Trinity. (Mark 12:29) We do not believe that the soul is immortal, that there is any basis in Scripture for saying that God tortures people in an everlasting hell, or that those who take the lead in religious activities should have titles that elevate them above others.—Ecclesiastes 9:5; Ezekiel 18:4; Matthew 23:8-10.

So the answer is JWs don't believe Jesus is God therefore they are not Christians.  Thanks Harikrish.
Jesus never claimed he was God.

26 verses about Jesus Christ son of God in the Bible. Not a single claim by Jesus he is God.

1 Corinthians 15:28
When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.

Psalm 2:7
“I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord:
He said to Me, ‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.

Hebrews 1:5
For to which of the angels did He ever say,
“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”? And again,“I will be a Father to Him
And He shall be a Son to Me”?

Matthew 3:17
and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”

Matthew 17:5
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!”

Mark 1:11
and a voice came out of the heavens: “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.”

John 1:14
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

1 John 4:10
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

John 14:13
Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 5:19
Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.

John 5:26
For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself;

Mark 14:61
But He kept silent and did not answer. Again the high priest was questioning Him, and saying to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?”

Mark 5:7
and shouting with a loud voice, he *said, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me!”

Luke 8:28
Seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell before Him, and said in a loud voice, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me.”

Acts 13:33
that God has fulfilled this promise to our children in that He raised up Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm, ‘You are My Son; today i have begotten You.’

Hebrews 5:5
So also Christ did not glorify Himself so as to become a high priest, but He who said to Him,
“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”;

Mark 9:7
Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is My beloved Son, listen to Him!”

Luke 3:22
and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.”

2 Peter 1:17
For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”—

Luke 9:35
Then a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!”

Romans 1:4
who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,

Matthew 2:15
He remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”

Luke 20:13
The owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps they will respect him.’

Hebrews 1:8
But of the Son He says,
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,
And the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom.

1 John 5:9
If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that He has testified concerning His Son.

1 John 5:10
The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son.

Jesus believed he was praying to his father in heaven.  Praying  is often saying this aloud in solitude. It could be mistaken for talking to ourselves.

The Case of John the Baptist
-->
@Stephen
It is not known who gave John the authority to perform this baptismal rite of washing away sins and it seems no one else knew either except for maybe Jesus, and he wasn't saying ?
Holding the Aaronic priesthood meant John had the keys to preach repentance and baptize for the remission of sins. Jesus recognized John as having the authority to baptize, and when the Savior began his ministry, he came to John to have that ordinance performed.

Aaronic Priesthood is mentioned in the Bible.

What the Bible says about Aaronic Priesthood
(From Forerunner Commentary)

Exodus 29:10

The Aaronic priests were purified for service to God through the transferal of their sins to a bull. Similarly, when an Israelite presented a peace or a sin offering, he laid his hands upon the animal being offered, identifying himself with it and transferring his guilt to the animal. Thus, the animal was set apart by God through the laying on of hands.

Leviticus 9:22-24

They fell on their faces out of fear, reverence, respect, awe, and wonder from the knowledge that God was in their midst. The last verse shows that God accepted Aaron and the priests because everything was done according to His will.

Hebrews 7:24-28

The Aaronic priesthood—including the high priest—was just as sinful as the population that they were to be serving. In order for this to be corrected, it was necessary that the true High Priest be one of divine nature, perfect, and sinless. Jesus Christ was both deity and humanity, and He qualified—through His sinlessness, His offering of His life, and His compassion—to be High Priest for the entirety of humanity. The book of Hebrews points out these things: 1) that He was divine, 2) that He offered His perfect life in sacrifice, and 3) that His mercy qualified Him to be High Priest.

Aaron's sons attained to the priesthood simply by being born into the Aaronic line. Members of the church, though, become priests by means of regeneration, making us part of the Divine Family—and thus brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.

Why do Atheists arbitrarily and irrationally say Miracles don't exist?
-->
@Tradesecret
Miracles by their very nature are not cause and effect - hence it would be absurd to think they ought to be repeated.

Miracles are also by their nature intended to be rare and unusual.

The only way for an atheist to say miracles don't exist would be to say that "In my experience, I know there can be no miracles because I have done the empirical research on every place on planet earth and in every moment of history that has ever taken place". Or the atheist could could say he has talked to someone who does know everything.  ( I think the only person who knows everything is God)

So the statement of knowing miracles are not true is not knowledge - it is prejudicial opinion.  Something which does not have any educational value.

What say you?
Miracles go against known natural laws.

Some examples.

Walking on water.
Raising the dead
Virgin birth

Even the people were not impressed with the miracles Jesus preformed and threatened to stone him.

John 10:32 but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”

How Did Jesus Do It?
-->
@Stephen
We are back to original question.
How did Jesus enter a locked room?

John 20:26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

Obviously he returned as a spirit or Ghost. Spirits can go through walls and locked doors.

Nope!
Luke 4:14 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.

Jesus returning as a spirit gave him the power of the Spirit.

If it is made of paper.  Paper don't last that long.
Put it on a usb stick

Hey It seems like God only showed up and engaged with people in a "certain area."    And wih size in perspective a very small area.
It's almost like the bible was ummmm,  did/done     WITHOUT taking / factoring in the events that happen in the year 2384.

Was the bible written without this knowing ?

It doesn't have a used by date but it definitely has a best before.

The parts of the bible written after a name ( not always a name )   and a set of numbers like for example

The bible reads normal then all of a sudden

Wayne  1 : 22.  ( followed by writings )

Is them parts of the bible ummmm " different " in anyways.

Are the scriptures in a bible more important then the rest ?
The scriptures is the message. The rest are the events that triggered the message. They help to provide a timeline and historical background.

Polytheist-Witch: Jesus' message and Jesus himself has nothing to do with the God of Abraham. It's a completely contradictory message and he basically tells people to violate Jewish law. People just connected Jesus to the god of Abraham because either one, he was Jewish or two, they wanted to establish dominance over that particular religion.
Jesus was a Jew and he followed Judaism. Jesus quoted from 24 books in the Old Testament. Judaism and the Bible are all about the God of Abraham.

Proof Of Exodus

@Elliott
This is one theory regarding the Exodus story. It is possibly a contentious theory but I thought it may be of interest. There is a fair bit about it on the internet for those who may be curious.

During the mid-14th century B.C.E. Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten decreed during his reign that his subjects were to worship only one god and that was the sun-disk Aten. After Akhenaten’s death Egypt retuned to polytheism, worship of Aten was deemed heresy and his worshipers faced persecution.

The theory is that Moses was a high priest of the god Aten, who with a number of his fellow believers fled into Canaan and established a monotheistic religion there.
There is no mention of Jewish slaves or the exodus in Egyptian history.

From another archeologist Israel Finkelstein.

Exodus never happened and the walls of Jericho did not come a-tumbling down. How archaeologists are shaking Israel to its biblical foundations.

Israel Finkelstein, chairman of the Archaeology Department at Tel Aviv University, with archaeology historian Neil Asher Silberman, has just published a book called "The Bible Unearthed: Archaeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of Its Sacred Text."

"The Israelites were never in Egypt, did not wander in the desert, did not conquer the land [of Canaan] in a military campaign and did not pass it on to the twelve tribes of Israel. Perhaps even harder to swallow is the fact that the united kingdom of David and Solomon, described in the Bible as a regional power, was at most a small tribal kingdom."

So your answer is , No, then.
You cannot destroy the only evidence we have which is in the Bible..................

So your answer is no, and I agree but not for the same reasons. I said in my op :
Stephen wrote: I personally wouldn’t want to see this ancient work destroyed.#1

And so by Christians claiming for one  to know and understand the bible, one has to be able to read ancient Greek and ancient Hebrew is complete and utter bullshite and only used as default when they find themselves cornered by  awkward and embarrassing questions.

What you are not considering is the people who could read Hebrew and Ancient Greek where the very same people who demanded Jesus be crucified and crucified him.

It was only after the Bible was translated into English that a more moderate interpretation of the Bible surfaced. But did did not prevent the religious wars and crusades or religious discrimination.

Luke 15
-->
@Kadin
I have heard people relate or describe Black Lives Matter as described in Luke 15:

Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’  I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Do you think this is similar to the message of Black Lives Matter? When 100 sheep go missing, Jesus leaves the 99 and goes looking for the 1. The other sheep wonder, "don't we matter" which is similar to All Lives Matter. Of course the other sheep matter, but they're not the ones in danger so they are not the ones Jesus is paying attention to.

Unless you believe there is no history of racism in this country with lingering impacts, or that black people do not have any inherent disadvantages or discrimination due to skin color, I could see how one would relate the passages.

Directly after this passage follows the Parable of the Lost Coin and the Parable of the Prodigal Son. They reflect the importance of redemption and asking forgiveness. They analogize persons who are lost souls, and the significance and joy of them finding their way through God's grace. It is specifically the sinners or non-believers that need God most, so there is special attention paid to those people despite being less than ideal models of God.

I'm not saying black people are lost souls, but what do these passages mean to you in relation to the BLM movement, or having compassion for people who do not glorify God or live by His example? The Bible is filled with stories about empathy, compassion and forgiveness even for those who are not worthy. The lesson is to exemplify God's grace to others, and by doing so you and them can be saved. How can we be more Christian in our politics or social politics to live by God's word?
The Bible was not very effective at reducing antisemitism even though the Jews were Gods chosen people. God established a covenant with the Jews and sent them prophets to deliver them from their suffering.
Despite these divine interventions the Jews lived in Exile throughout their history.

To look for parables  in the Bible that apply to the BLM and uncover the racism and  slavery the blacks have endured would prepare Christians for the future where by 2030 the majority of Christian will be Africans living in Africa.

Will the BLM absorbs Christianity and treat the whites as lost souls and show compassion for these people who did not glorify God or live by His example?
The Bible is filled with stories about empathy, compassion and forgiveness even for those who are not worthy. The lesson is to exemplify God's grace to others, and by doing so blacks  and whites  can be saved.

The fact that Christianity is shifting to Africa is evidence Christianity is failing in western countries. Will these failed Christians be seen by the BLM as analogous to the Parable of the Lost Coin and the Parable of the Prodigal Son? They reflect the importance of redemption and asking forgiveness. They analogize persons who are lost souls, and the significance and joy of them finding their way through God's grace. It is specifically the sinners or non-believers that need God most, so there is special attention paid to those people despite being less than ideal models of God.

The true test would the the dream MLK had:  “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Going back to the parable. I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one black man George Floyd receiving Justice  than over ninety-nine white righteous persons who do not repent.

The golden rule
-->
@Tradesecret
In Matthew 7 Jesus gives the golden rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated. This of course is UNIQUE to Christianity and perhaps some other religions who have been privy to the bible.

Sometimes people suggest other religions and person such as Confucius  and Buddha said the same thing but this would be confusing apples with oranges.

Other statements are mostly put in the negative not in the positive. The difference is profound. The first chooses not to punch their enemy in the face. The latter chooses to build their enemy a hospital. Positive and negative are important to consider.

The other aspect about Jesus’ golden rule that is conveniently forgotten is that it is prefaced with another item which the others do not even contemplate. Love God with all of you heart and soul and mind and then - love others. Omitting this preface distorts entirely the meaning of the second commandment. It is impossible to love others in the way Jesus indicated without first loving God.

Hence it is clear that while other religions and cultures had a similar rule, the two are so significantly different that Jesus’ golden rule is unique.

Do you agree or disagree? Please explain why.
The Golden rule in Matthew 7:12 “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

It is ironic the Golden Rule was preached to the Jews who suffered 3000 years of antisemitism.

Another winner!

Luke 6:29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them.

Jesus was bound by the Golden Rule and let the Romans crucify him, destroy the temple, Jerusalem and replace Judaism with the Roman Catholic Church.

This is why the Golden Rule is Unique to Christianity. Christianity was the only beneficiary of the Golden Rule.

I claimed I do not believe in a logical world. I claimed that if this world is logical, it is not human logic as we know it. I claimed it may be logical in a way we are unaware of,and do not and possibly cannot understand.
It is hard for women to see the world as logical when over 2 billion Christians are told Eve the first woman was created from Adam’s rib.
Genesis 2:22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

Christians can’t do good as Christians!
-->
@BrotherD.Thomas
Don't misunderstand me. But an assumed Christian can only do one thing. And I have been told this over and over on this forum. There is no Christian worldview. There are no Christian doctrines that we follow all the time because we cherry pick them at will, and let the disturbing doctrines remain on the side, and if we did follow a few of these disturbing doctrines, we would be doing prison time in the name of Jesus. There are just Christians who ALL believe in Jesus in so many different ways because of so many contradicting divisions of the  faith!  In fact this is our only belief in who in the Hell is the real Jesus?!     LOL!

So if someone who calls themselves a Christian - does good or is benevolent to someone - it is not the result of their Christianity.   In fact that would be impossible.  Because if it was - then this would be implying that there are positive beliefs that flow from Christianity even when the Bible contradicts itself ad infinitum.  But we know that has to be untrue, even though it does.

So how then can a Christian do good things if it does not always flow from their Christian view?

It is because they have to borrow from other world views that preceded Christianity- things like morality and goodness and well, everything for that matter.  They are really a lot like leaches aren't we?

Assumed Christians therefore only ever do good works and benevolent things when they borrow them from someone else, like Christianity did from many  previous religions, especially Mithraism that was copied by Christianity verbatim!!!   And given that there is not an Christian worldview because our divisions of the faith contradict each other - it must flow from a non-Christian worldview and understanding of the world.  Assumed Christians do good not because they are Christians, but because Jesus tells them to be good for their salvation.  Don't you love this?

So every time a Christian does anything good - they actually reveal a belief in Humanism even if they with their mouths and their minds are Christians.  This is such an amusing thing.

I as being the only True Christian upon this forum have had to accept the above facts towards Christianity.

How will the assumed Christian rationalize this? Well we will wait and find out won’t we.
There is little change in a person who converts to Christianity. Everything from there on can be justified by faith.

Justification by Faith.
The teaching of justification by faith is what separates biblical Christianity from all other belief systems. In every religion, and in some branches of what is called “Christianity,” man is working his way to God. Only in true, biblical Christianity is man saved as a result of grace through faith. Only when we get back to the Bible do we see that justification is by faith, apart from works.

Once a person is justified, there is nothing else he needs in order to gain entrance into heaven. Since justification comes by faith in Christ, based on His work on our behalf, our own works are disqualified as a means of salvation (Romans 3:28). There exist vast religious systems with complex theologies that teach the false doctrine of justification by works. But they are teaching “a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all” (Galatians 1:6–7).

This might explain why there is little change in a person who converts to Christianity. Everything from there on can be justified by faith.

Extremely well put!
So you accept you are the same person you were before your conversion, except the same past actions are now justifiable by faith.

Free will contradicts theism
-->
@Benjamin
Free will contradicts theism because a creator God necesarily prohibits free will.

P1: An omniscient God knows the complete history of every possible universe; (by necesity including all choices made every universe)

P2: A creator God decided which of the possible universes to create

C: God literally decided how history would turn out and what choices people would make

There is no way around this conclusion. God decided to create a universe where Adam and Eve would eat from the fruit of knowledge. God decided that Adam and Eve would sin, because literally nothing is outside his controll. By definition, nothing happens that conflict with God's decisions. Adam and Eve did not have free will; their choice was no more free than a clock is to show the correct time or not. The creator of the watch is responsible for the watch dysfunctioning, not the watch istself. Blaming a human for a crime is like blaming a gun for a murder --- sure it was the gun who shot the bullet, but the gun was controlled by someone else. This is just an analogy of course, but the point is important.

The problem of evil is so often dismissed without further elaboration by pointing to free will, and that humans (and/or demons), not God, cause evil and suffering in this world. When used to solve the problem of evil free will is nothing short of magic being invoked to dodge the disturbing implications of God's magic.

If we remove the "magic" from the equation we can confidently say that all humans have choice --- but that CHOISE IS NOT FREE FROM EXTERNAL CONTROLL AND CAUSALITY
Jesus is a good example of how God forced a scripted life on Jesus from birth to death.
Matthew 26:39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

@SkepticalOne
Isn’t that what happened to Abortion Rights?
The Supreme Court threw out Roe V Wade because the Christian Conservatives packed the court with conservative judges.

Yes, I would say so. Although I doubt Scotus would openly agree with that description.
So the separation of State and Church in the Constitution is a big lie.

Jesus Is Not God

@Tradesecret
Polytheist-Witch: The mods know it too and they simply allow him to keep spewing his hatred because you know it's directed at us.
How am I spewing hatred by quoting scriptures? Tradesecret as a preacher does it all the time even though he knows Jesus was crucified for what he claimed and preached.

John 10:33 “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”

Tradesecret : Poly never said you spewed hatred by quoting the scriptures.  It is your commentary and interpretation that permeates hatred.

Jesus was crucified but thankfully, and praise God, he rose from the dead.  He is alive.
Jesus lost the Jews the very people he was sent to save.
Matthew 15:24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

The Romans even crucified their messiah, destroyed the temple, Jerusalem and replaced Judaism with the Roman Catholic Church turning it is a universal religion.

Jesus who claimed in Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Jesus is now a housekeeper in heaven preparing rooms for guests.
John 14:2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Stood idly by.

Even the Pope declared the cross was a failure of God.

Pope Francis said during his whirlwind U. S. Tour. "And if at times OUR EFFORTS AND WORKS SEEM TO FAIL AND PRODUCE NO FRUIT, We need to REMEMBER that WE ARE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS. . . And His LIFE, Humanly speaking, ENDED IN FAILURE, THE FAILURE OF THE CROSS?"

When you don"t understand something, When desperation hits you then look at the CROSS. THAT IS THE GREAT FAILURE OF GOD, THAT IS THE DESTRUCTION OF GOD, AND IT'S A CHALLENGE TO OUR FAITH?

@Tradesecret

It was a miscalculation by Jesus to speak to the Jews differently in the New Testament Gospels than God did in the Old Testament.

I assume you think that because he destroyed the world - that this means he did not love the world.  Perhaps it might mean that. Or perhaps it might mean that he did not love what humans had become - so he decided to wash the world clean with water?

It is not unimportant that God waited patiently for them to repent - according to 1 Peter 3:20.   Even in their hatred of God, God still waited for them to stop being disobedient. 120 years is a long time.

In any event, Jesus did not miscalculate in any of his dealings on earth. Nor did he speak differently in the NT than he did in the OT.   God judges in the NT and in the OT. He loved in the OT and in the NT.   IT is the same God in the OT and the NT.

The only who seems to be incorrect or in error is you.
God sent plagues to Egypt and fed the Jews during the Exodus. Old Testament.

Jesus said he was sent to save the Jews.
Matthew 15:24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

Jesus knew the Romans would kill their messiah, destroy the Holy Temple and slaughter the Jews the very people he was sent  to save. Jesus even quoted Daniel.

But Jesus allowed himself to be mocked, beaten and ridiculed by the Romans before they crucified him.

It was a miscalculation by Jesus to treat Jews differently in the New Testament Gospels than God did in the Old Testament.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his Son so that whosoever trusts in  him will have life and not death.

Genesis 6:6-10 The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7So the LORD said, "I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created-and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground-for I regret that I have made them."

"So loved the world! eh, "Tradey".

Proof Of Exodus
Proof of Exodus….

Jerusalem was essentially a cow town, not the glorious capital of an empire. These findings have been accepted by the majority of biblical scholars and archaeologists for years and even decades.

The tales of the patriarchs -- Abraham, Isaac and Joseph among others -- were the first to go when biblical scholars found those passages rife with anachronisms and other inconsistencies. The story of Exodus, one of the most powerful epics of enslavement, courage and liberation in human history, also slipped from history to legend when archaeologists could no longer ignore the lack of corroborating contemporary Egyptian accounts and the absence of evidence of large encampments in the Sinai Peninsula ("the wilderness" where Moses brought the Israelites after leading them through the parted Red Sea).

Finkelstein is an iconoclast. He established his reputation in part by developing a theory about the settlement patterns of the nomadic shepherd tribes who would eventually become the Israelites, bolstering the growing consensus that they were originally indistinguishable from the rest of their neighbors, the Canaanites. This overturns a key element in the Bible: The Old Testament depicts the Israelites as superior outsiders -- descended from Abraham, a Mesopotamian immigrant -- entitled by divine order to invade Canaan and exterminate its unworthy, idolatrous inhabitants.

The famous battle of Jericho, with which the Israelites supposedly launched this campaign of conquest after wandering for decades in the desert, has been likewise debunked: The city of Jericho didn't exist at that time and had no walls to come tumbling down. These assertions are all pretty much accepted by mainstream archaeologists.

Marcus says that Finkelstein is "difficult to dismiss because he's so much an insider in terms of his credentials and background. He's an archaeologist, not a theologian, and he is an Israeli. It's hard to say that someone who was born in Israel and intends to live the rest of his life there is anti-Israeli."

Is Christian nationalism un-American?

@FLRW
The share of Americans who identify as white and Christian has dropped below 50 percent, a transformation fueled by immigration and by growing numbers of people who reject organized religion altogether, according to a new survey released Wednesday.
Christians overall remain a large majority in the U.S., at nearly 70 percent of Americans. However, white Christians, once predominant in the country’s religious life, now comprise only 43 percent of the population, according to the Public Religion Research Institute, or PRRI, a polling organization based in Washington. Four decades ago, about eight in 10 Americans were white Christians.

What percent of college professors are Christians?  That figure is only about 7 percent, according to the nationwide General Social Survey, issued by the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago.
The Christian Post.

More Americans Now Believe Bible Is a Book of Fables, Not Literal Word of God: Gallup.

By 2030 the majority of Christians will come from Africa.

@GnosticChristianBishop
Sons of Gods screwing our human women caused Yahweh to use genocide on the whole of Noah's earth.

To think that a returning, genocidal Armageddon holding savior like Jesus is good, is way too immoral of a position for me to endorse.

What denomination do you follow?

Why would you think that a God who can cure as easily as kill would choose to kill?

Regards
DL
God is portrayed in the Bible as a genocidal killer..
I follow Jews for Christ.

What you see as evil in the world, some see as good.

I hope I am wrong in that case.

Sucking wine from a sponge would have even lessened the amount of wine available to Jesus which would have made Jesus declare it is finished even sooner. That only further weakens your  case.

Okay, we seem to be arguing in circles. I think I have done.
I am glad I convinced you not to drink wine by sucking wine out of a sponge.

How Does One Reconcile The Existence of God on a Debate Site?
How Does One Reconcile The Existence of God on a Debate Site?

On a religion forum it is easy to separate Theists from Atheists because members  will tell you what their beliefs are.
The problem is not the existence of God. The problem is the perception of  God in the absence of a personal experience

How Did Jesus Do It?
-->
@Stephen
There is no mention of Jesus bleeding or having blood, only flesh and bones. That would make him a Vampire.

FFS give over you clown. He had wounds, flesh wounds, and had invited people to have a poke around.

The disciples believed they were seeing a ghost/ spirit." 37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit"

 But Jesus says touch my wounds and have a good poke around and see > "it is I myself for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have".Luke 24:36- 39

Jesus in the verses above is clearly saying he is not spirit because spirits do not have flesh and bone. Take it or leave it sunshine, but this is a biblical fact from the mouth of the Christ himself.

If you want to keep acting the complete and utter twat be my guest but don't expect too many responses from me.

Curious facts about witchcraft that.....
Polytheist-Witches: It's okay I don't expect any white man to get it because they tend to be really stupid of everything that they don't actually engage in themselves. So you understand very very little.

Whose name do you use for the first commandment?
-->
@GnosticChristianBishop
I am a realist and see a lot more good than evil.

As a Gnostic Christian, I can see the underlying perfection of what is around me.

The Gnostic Christian reality.

Gnostic Christian Jesus said,  "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all.
[And after they have reigned they will rest.]"

"If those who attract you say, 'See, the Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you.

If they say to you, 'It is under the earth,' then the fish of the sea will precede you.

Rather, the Kingdom of God is inside of you, and it is outside of you.

[Those who] become acquainted with [themselves] will find it; [and when you] become acquainted with yourselves, [you will understand that] it is you who are the sons of the living Father.

But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty."

As you can see from that quote, if we see God's kingdom all around us and inside of us, we cannot think that the world is anything but evolving perfection. Most just don't see it and live in poverty. Let me try to make you see the world the way I do.

Here is a mind exercise. Tell me what you see when you look around. The best that can possibly be, given our past history, or an ugly and imperfect world?

Candide.
"It is demonstrable that things cannot be otherwise than as they are; for as all things have been created for some end, they must necessarily be created for the best end.”

That means that we live in the best of all possible worlds, because it is the only possible world, given all the conditions at hand and the history that got us here. That is an irrefutable statement given entropy and the anthropic principle.

Regards
DL
The world is in a very precarious situation. Global warming, pandemics, Russian invasion of Ukraine, US influencing diminishing, etc. etc.

It is important we believe Jesus will return and be allowed to fix these problems. Searching for virgin births should be our highest priority. That is Jesus’s preferred method of conception.

Are Christians bootlickers?

@Elliott
It isn’t a matter of questioning his teachings it is the fact that people are able to place their own interpretation on them.

As to this “But why he stopped is made clear in john 19. The drink he received was not enough to keep him going. They should have offered him a larger wine cup filled to the top.” It isn't made clear, where in John’s gospel does it say that the drink was not enough and that they should have given him larger wine cup filled to the top?  It doesn’t, it is fabrication. He didn’t even drink from the cup, he sucked the wine from a sponge.
Sucking wine from a sponge would have even lessened the amount of wine available to Jesus which would have made Jesus declare it is finished even sooner. That only further weakens your  case.

May They Just As Well Condemn The Bible To The Skip?

@Stephen
The Bible is what will be used to question and hold Jesus accountable to the world in as many languages it has been translated to.

English will make the job simpler because it is the most widely spoken language.

So your answer is , No, then.
You cannot destroy the only evidence we have which is in the Bible that could possibly justify crucifying Jesus a second time.

Polytheist-Witch: Well the title bitch, should basically imply I'm a bitch. I'm too old to menstrate but I appreciate you feeling I have a young energy. So if you're looking for a title that doesn't have to do with me being on a period I'd go for cunt. I certainly pride myself on that one.
You have lost your power as a woman to menstruate, so you changed bitch to witch in your title. A title that doesn't have to do with you being on a period. Ok!

Evidence for God

Evidence for God
Every theistic religion provides the evidence for God and the various ways man has tried to Worship God.

But the personification of God is the individual struggle. Trying to create an image of God that each can personify.

Even Jesus lamented about God on the cross.
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is to say, “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?”

Polytheist-Witch: The fact that you're stupid doesn't make it a title. Nice try though.
The title Witch suggests you have powers as in Polytheist-Witch.

Just like the title Bitch would suggest you menstruate.
