God and the Holy Spirit now can't work past the contraceptive, for real? What kind of god can't work past a contraceptive?
How contraceptives work.
Birth Control Pills | The Pill - Planned Parenthood
The hormones in the pill safely stop ovulation. No ovulation means there's no egg for sperm to fertilize, so pregnancy can't happen. The pill's hormones also thicken the mucus on the cervix. This thicker cervical mucus blocks sperm so it can't swim to an egg — kind of like a sticky security guard.
You see, unlike condoms the pill puts women in charge of their ovolution.

The Christian religion at its core is nothing but a theft. They took the Jewish god and Roman Hellenistic principles and mesh them together to make a religion that would unite the people because it was easier for them to take over with a unified religion than allowing people to continue to practice their own faith.
Jesus would not have done well in Judaism. It is just as well the Romans made Christianity a universal religion.
The Jews were driven out of their homeland four times.
Four exiles of the Jewish people by the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Medians, the Greeks, and recently under Western rule (Holocaust).
Expecting a messiah to change Jewish history is not on the minds of Jewish people. Accepting Jesus as a messiah is even less rational. Punishing past players is highly unlikely. So the best option is to rewrite Jewish history in a more favourable light.
See The Invention of the Jewish People. shlomo Sand.
“Shlomo Sand argues that most Jews actually descend from converts, whose native lands were scattered far across the Middle East and Eastern Europe. The formation of a Jewish people and then a Jewish nation out of these disparate groups could only take place under the sway of a new historiography, developing in response to the rise of nationalism throughout Europe. Beneath the biblical back fill of the nineteenth-century historians, and the twentieth-century intellectuals who replaced rabbis as the architects of Jewish identity, The Invention of the Jewish People uncovers a new narrative of Israel’s formation, and proposes a bold analysis of nationalism that accounts for the old myths.”

God is great!! That has been acknowledged by just about every religion in the world.
Dumbest thing ever said.
Name one religion that attacks God.
Definition of Religion: the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods

Sadly all religious books contain contradictions.
It is hard to write about things that we know very little about. So we leave it to our imagination. Sex is the only thing that works well even when we imagine the entire act. Now you know why Christians are obsessed with the virgin birth.
What can be more stimulating than divine Rape?
Luke 1:34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[b] the Son of God.

Virgin births are rare today because women take contraceptives to prevent that from happening. And when that fails resort to Abortion. This is why Christian men are against abortions. They believe it stops Jesus from return as promised, obviously through another virgin birth.
great point
That is if you believe like most Americans that Jesus picked America for his return. Abortion is legal in Israel. The first virgin birth did not turn out so good for the Jewish people.

It’s fulfillment. There are over 2 billion Christians and 1.9 billion Muslims. Judaism is not only becoming irrelevant. The jews themselves are being threatened with extinction.
thank you for the laugh. We have been threatened with all sorts of things since before your supposed messiah was born and we are still here. You really think we are worried about your particular take on things? Other than your bizarre views regarding numbers and your ignorance of history, do you have anything of substance to contribute?

There is not a single indication in the Old Testament of virgin births. Being born to a god is a Roman concept and was brought into Christianity via the Roman polytheist myths.

There's absolutely nothing in the Old Testament that indicates that the God of Abraham would be willing to share power with any other beings. Not Jesus, not the Holy Spirit, he commands every being in the Old Testament. He would never allow two other beings to be of equal status with him, never.
Throughout the Bible God is seen needing the help of prophets and messengers to spread his message.
Nowhere is it clearer than in the conception of Jesus.
God sought the help of a virgin (Mary) , the Holy Spirit (to come on Mary) and the threesome produced Jesus.
The trinity or threesome that produced Jesus is well documented in Luke.
Luke 1:35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
The Holy Spirit or sperm donor came on Mary. The Most High overshadowed (overpowered) Mary and held her down. Mary was gang raped and the threesome or trinity produced Jesus.

Today, there are 2 billion Christians who accept Jesus as the promised one and 14 million Jews that still hold on to the minority view that Jesus was not the Messiah. Not only are the Jews outnumbered, they have become irrelevant.
What is irrelevant is your response. Judaism was around before Christianity and will be around after it. Maybe try composing an argument based on content and facts, or are they irrelevant also?
For millions of Jews, Judaism has become irrelevant.
Jesus said, 'Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it' (Mat 21:43; NJKV).
It’s fulfillment. There are over 2 billion Christians and 1.9 billion Muslims. Judaism is not only becoming irrelevant. The jews themselves are being threatened with extinction.

The Old Testament ended with Malachi 430 years before Jesus’s birth. But the Old Testament contained prophesies about the coming Messiah promised to the Jews.
rosends replied: It contains all sorts of stuff but nothing about Jesus. Finding things and calling them messianic prophecies doesn't make them so, and then saying that Jesus "fulfilled" them is an empty argument. If you want to discuss the content of the Jewish canon then you should listen to someone who has studied it as a Jew, not in your translation and not with an agenda of pulling out bits to find what justifies your theology. Christians can "consider" whatever they want. Jews know otherwise. You must be new at this.

Jesus was a Jew and followed Judaism. Jesus made his mission very clear from the start. He was not sent to create a new religion.
rosends reply:If Jesus existed I guess he might have been a Jew and so were other people. He was on no particular mission according to Judaism and quoting from texts that Judaism doesn't see as valid isn't very persuasive. So, um...yeah.

Prophecies Christians consider fulfilled by Jesus from the Old Testament. But because the Jews rejected Jesus as their Messiah, Christianity was created to account for the fulfillment of OT prophesies.

The trinity as one God exists as or in three equally divine “Persons”, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is not supported anywhere in the Bible.
Jesus always prayed to the Father
Jesus said the Holy Spirit would come only “after” he left.
John 16:7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness,because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer;
But the trinity or threesome that produced Jesus is well documented in Luke.

Jesus was a Jew and followed Judaism. Jesus made his mission very clear from the start. He was not sent to create a new religion.
Matthew 15:24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”
Matthew 5:17 (“Do not think that I have come to abolish Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”).
Of the 27 books in the New Testament, Paul is credited as the author of 13 of them. Jesus is credited with none. While he was proud of his Jewish heritage, Paul saw that the gospel was for the Gentiles as well. Paul was martyred for his faith in Christ by the Romans, about A.D. 67.

Nowhere in the Bible does Jesus claim to be born of a virgin. Just like nowhere in the Bible does Jesus claim to be God.
Jesus picked his 12 disciples when he started his ministry at the age of 30. They were total strangers and knew nothing about Jesus or his early childhood. His ministry lasted only 3 years before he was crucified. Which is why we have conflicting reports from the four gospel writers.
Luke names Joseph son of Heli as Jesus’s father.
Luke 3:23 Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph,
the son of Heli, 24 the son of Matthat,
Matthew names Joseph son of Jacob as Jesus father.
Matthew 1:15 Matthan the father of Jacob,
16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.
16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.
Mark does not mention anything about Jesus’s virgin birth. Neither does John.
We also learn Mary had other children. In Mark 6:3 Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph,[a] Judas and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.
We even know what his family thought of Jesus’s virgin birth.
Mark 3:21 When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”
