My latest tthoughts concerning the "problem of evil" argument.
-->
@GnosticChristianBishop
"Evil is subjective by nature and therefore unless you agree to a common standard with your interlocutor the conversation will break down at "is x really evil though?""

It may be both.

Do you wish to discuss xs or evil?

Evil is objectively always at the end of the graph for good and evil that denotes what we would not prefer.

Evil xs  or issues then would be subjective, as to degree of evil, but always objectively evil.

If subjective, as you say, then show where evil is ever on the good side of a good and evil graph.

Regards
DL
The Jews were given 631 commandment to abstain from evil acts. Note, Jews were committing so many evil acts during the time of Moses that he ran out of tablet space to list them.

The Three Weeks

@Deb-8-a-bull
I highly doubt it would be a " sign of respect " participating in this, The three week spectacular  if you've  a foreskin.

There are many many ways one can pay homage to  god.   But allllllllll of this comes to nil , if as above. ( You've a foreskin )
So ummm yeah.  ' kicks dirt '
BE AWARE OF THIS FACT before you put yourself out in any way shape or form for god.
Foreskin    =    NO heaven.

I mean.
You don't go to heaven  if you have a foreskin.
How can you enter heaven if ya dont
'  cue drums '

Stand still laddy!

The three-week period in summer that begins with the fast of the 17th of Tammuz and climaxes with Tisha B’Av is known simply as “The Three Weeks.” It is a time of grieving for the destruction of both the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem. This mourning period was first mentioned in the biblical Book of Zechariah in the Prophets — and, since then, it has been observed as a period of sadness.

Now if you are a Jews foreskin. You would have have good reasons to be celebrating. Being separated from any Jews penis after circumcision you are no longer dragged into all those unholy places Jews like to stick their penis and not washing after. Which was the original reason circumcision was demanded of temple worshippers to keep the stench out then demanded of the rest of the Jewish population after Abraham turned the need into a covenant.

Was Jesus a liar and a lunatic?
-->
@Harikrish
Scriptural  verses that declared Jesus a demon possessed lunatic.

John 10:20 Many of them said, "He is demon-possessed and raving mad. Why listen to him?"

Mark 3:21 when his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, "He is out of his mind."

Jesus was deluded and believed God spoke through him.
John 12:49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken.

But when the people listened to the words he spoke they did not understand him, even his disciples struggled to understand him. Jesus had to explain to them in secret what he was saying in his parables. But he explained with more parables which suggests God was also incoherent and inarticulate and failed to communicate through Jesus. But we know God turned Moses who was slow in speech and mind into a leader and messenger. The problem was Jesus not God.

Mark 4:34 He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.

Jesus was a notorious liar. Even John the Baptist expressed his doubts to Jesus and asked Jesus if he was really the promised one.
Jesus lied when he said John the Baptist was Elijah. John denied he was Elijah.

Here are the scriptures to back my claims. Jesus said John was Elijah, John denies he is Elijah.

Matthew 11:14
And if you are willing to accept what I say, he is Elijah, the one the prophets said would come.

In John 1:6"8 and John 1:19"28, John the Baptist denies he is Elijah. Yet in Matthew 17:9"13, Jesus implies that he was. Isn't this a contradiction?

John 1:21"They asked him, "Then who are you? Are you Elijah?"
He said, "I am not."
"Are you the Prophet?"
He answered, "No."

John expresses doubts Jesus is the promised one.
Matthew 11:2"When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples 3"to ask him, "Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?"

Jesus expresses his own doubts on the cross.

Matthew 27:46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?").

We know Jesus was crucified for his blasphemous lies.
Jesus did not fulfill any prophesies. By his own account he did not come to change the laws of the prophets. He proved he was subjected to the laws even in his life and thereby validating the Mosaic law given to the Jews by God.
According to the Jewish law:
Deuteronomy 18:20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death."

It is clear Jesus did not fulfill the prophesies. Instead, He was subjected to the law and put to death as demanded of false prophets according to Mosaic law.

Jesus lied that he was to be sacrificed.

Human sacrifice was forbidden by God. So Jesus was not sacrificed.

Many argue Jesus's death was prophesied. But even Jesus's prophesies were not fulfilled.

1. Matthew 10:23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

Jesus never fulfilled that promise.

2. Matthew 24:34
Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

2000 years have passed and many generation have gone by yet his promise remains unfulfilled.

Jesus was a liar and a lunatic before and after his death. Unfortunately he could only be crucified once.

So why are Christians turning God into a liar and lunatic or turning a liar and lunatic into a God?

As a Vedantist raised in the Vedantuc tradition and trained in the reading of esoteric scriptures, Christian Theology and Islamic fundamentalist, I am not at liberty to speculate outside of scriptures. And the scriptures are clear that Jesus was tried, convicted and put to death for his blasphemous lies and lunacy.

So why are Christians perpetrating the delusions of a Jewish rabbi who was put to death for his delusional blasphemous lies?

We have to turn to our experts in tbe field of human behaviour. As a student of the behavioural sciences (CBT) I have also explored a diagnostic approach.

Kathleen Taylor, Neuroscientist, Says Religious Fundamentalism Could Be Treated As A Mental Illness - Huffington Post
The scriptures support your conclusion Harikrish that Jesus was a Liar and a Lunatic.

But the 2 billion Christians would rather have a Liar and Lunatic for a God than no God at all.

Suggesting they too are mentally ill  puts them in good company with the one they chose to follow.

Prag mag god.
Now you know why God brought along the Holy Spirit to help him with the threesome or Trinity. God needed a sperm donor.
We are told the Holy Spirit came on Mary and God overpowered Mary by holding her down.

Luke 1:34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[b] the Son of God.

Even Jesus’s tomb was empty  after he was raised from the dead.

Stop being so silly. An empty to tomb is evidence only that a tomb was empty. Absolutely no one witnessed the Christ rise from being physically and biologically dead from the cold slab he was said to have been laid on and walk away from the private burial tomb  in a privately owned garden that belong to yet another of Jesus' rich friends.
Jesus had a solution for doubter like you in his resurrection.
John 20:27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Now you know why I am both enlightened and blessed.

The Jews rejected Jesus and demanded Jesus be crucified. The Romans crucified Jesus.

Without a 'sacrifice' there could be no talk of a second coming. The return of Jesus would be contigent upon his death. So, again, you've not presented evidence of anyone working to stop a 'second coming' much less any Christians doing so.
The Bible tells us Jesus was not sacrificed, Jesus was crucified.

Luke 23:21 But they kept shouting, “Crucify him! Crucify him!”

Matthew 27:35 After they had nailed him to the cross, the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.

The Jews rejected Jesus and demanded Jesus be crucified. The Romans crucified Jesus. Both the Jews and Romans are still around which might explain why Jesus is so reluctant to return.

Christian men in America are seeking  a complete ban on contraceptives, abortions or birth control to prevent the return of Jesus in his preferred method of virgin birth conception.
 They are holding onto the promise in John 14:2-3

John 14:2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

The only sacrifice Jesus has offered to make is to leave the comforts of his fathers house in heaven temporarily to come and fetch his believer so they may be with him.

I have been enlightened to the members  on this forum. My opinion of them remain unchanged.

Go dance naked around the camp fire, and enjoy.

The Bible describes what God looks for, mostly virgins to help him re-establish the Davidic Kingdom. One would expect God to be actively searching for virgins during this type of celebration.

Luke 1:28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[b] the Son of God.

But the three weeks  period is when the Jews are the dirtiest?

Observances:
There are various mourning-related customs and observances that are followed for the entire three-week period (until midday of the 10th of the Hebrew month of Av, or—if that date falls on Friday—the morning of that day). We do not cut our hair, purchase new clothes, or listen to music. No weddings are held.
The 17th of Tammuz
17 Tammuz is a fast day, on which we refrain from eating and drinking from dawn to nightfall. The fast commemorates five tragic events that occurred on this date, including Moses breaking the Tablets and breaching of the walls of Jerusalem.
Learn more about 17 Tammuz
Those who mourn the destruction of Jerusalem will merit seeing it rebuilt with the coming of MoshiachThe Nine Days
The final Nine Days of the Three Weeks are a time of intensified mourning. Starting on the first of Av, we refrain from eating meat or drinking wine, and from wearing freshly laundered clothes.
Learn more about the Nine Days
The 9th of Av
Nine Av is a more stringent fast than 17 Tammuz. It begins at sunset of the previous evening, when we gather in the synagogue to read the Book of Lamentations. Besides fasting, we abstain from additional pleasures: washing, applying lotions or creams, wearing leather shoes, and marital relations. Until midday, we sit on the floor or on low stools.
Learn more about the 9th of Av
The Inner Message
There is more to the Three Weeks than fasting and lamentation. Our sages tell us that those who mourn the destruction of Jerusalem will merit seeing it rebuilt with the coming of Moshiach. May that day come soon, and then all the mournful dates on the calendar will be transformed into days of tremendous joy and happiness.

The Old Covenant was about to disappear. The two covenants existed side-by-side up until AD 70 (40 years, one generation) until everything was accomplished and fulfilled.
The new covenant and world order to come is described in Revelation.

A New Heaven and a New Earth

Revelation 21:1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”.

Nothing has changed since Jesus was crucified. Even our calendar continues to mark the days with little interruption. Even the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—to be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulphur areqq still with us.

Justification by Faith.
The teaching of justification by faith is what separates biblical Christianity from all other belief systems. In every religion, and in some branches of what is called “Christianity,” man is working his way to God. Only in true, biblical Christianity is man saved as a result of grace through faith. Only when we get back to the Bible do we see that justification is by faith, apart from works.

Once a person is justified, there is nothing else he needs in order to gain entrance into heaven. Since justification comes by faith in Christ, based on His work on our behalf, our own works are disqualified as a means of salvation (Romans 3:28). There exist vast religious systems with complex theologies that teach the false doctrine of justification by works. But they are teaching “a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all” (Galatians 1:6–7).

This might explain why there is little change in a person who converts to Christianity. Everything from there on can be justified by faith.

Extremely well put!
So you accept you are the same person you were before your conversion, except the same past actions are now justifiable by faith.

Everyone should own a bible and a black slave
-->
@Harikrish
Owning bibles and negro slaves have been tried for several hundred years by western countries. But the end result was not what was expected. Study reveals by 2030 the majority of Christians will be Africans. So slavery will shift back to the African continent where the slaves originated from.

Americans will no longer be able to read books about slavery or teach it in their schools.
Texas recently tried to ban the Bible from its school libraries. Preachers will be imported in the future.

Be prepared to hear black preachers preach about slavery. Irony of ironies.

10And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

Here God only got upset when Adam and Eve covered their naked bodies.

Romans may or may not be Christian...Jews are definitely NOT Christian.

You've dropped multiple points which are damagaing to your argument. What you did address is not making any sense, my friend.
The first Christians were Hellenic Jews. The Romans replaced Judaism with the  Roman Catholic Church to become the largest body of Christians.

Yes the Jews and Romans  who converted to Christianity , their descendants who are Christians are still around which is preventing Jesus from returning.

Pragmatic.

ADJECTIVE:   Dealing with things sensibly and realistically in a way that is based on practical rather than theoretical considerations.

One would just hope/expect that if there were an actual creator GOD, it would be omni-sensible.

In my opinion ritualism isn't the remotest bit sensible. It's people doing daft stuff for no real reason.

Any GOD watching would be laughing it's socks off.

Perhaps that's it.

Maybe we are just entertainment.
God created Adam and Eve for his amusement. He watched them running naked in the Garden of Eden.

Genesis 3:9-11
9And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? (KJV).
Here God only got upset when Adam and Eve covered their naked bodies.

But Luke tells us God carried his obsession even further with Mary. He gang raped Mary in a threesome with the Holy Spirit
Luke 1:34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”

It is possible for people to be both free and sinless.
-->
@Lit
If Christ was sinless, did he have free will? Could he really have refused to die on the cross?
Jesus did have free will. He said so at his trial.
Matthew 26:53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?

But like all the bad decisions Jesus made in his life he chose not to call his legion of angels.

Jesus was confused by the action of the Jews who wanted to stone him just as much as he was confused by the Jews who were eager to crucify him even though Pilate found no crime in Jesus.

John 10:32 but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”

Pilate returns to the crowd waiting outside the palace. Jesus apparently is at his side when he tells the chief priests and those with them: “I find no crime in this man.” Angered by that decision, the crowd insists: “He stirs up the people by teaching throughout all Judea, starting from Galilee even to here.”—Luke 23:4, 5.

So we can conclude  Jesus had free will and believed he was sinless. But the Jews disagreed and shouted.
Luke 23:21 But they kept shouting, “Crucify him! Crucify him!”

You somehow pushed four factual errors into four sentences. That's incredible 1:1 ratio of error to sentence. That's amazing!

When you grow up into an adult, maybe you can study what we adults like to call "history" and you might even learn something. Good luck, I know the pre-teen years are hard, but you'll get there.

After the Destruction of the Second Temple

Developing over a period of five centuries (until c.AD 500), rabbinic Judaism completed the process already underway, which saw the replacement of the Temple by the synagogue (the Second Temple was destroyed in AD 70), of the priest by the rabbi, and of the sacrificial ceremony by the prayer service and study. Basic to these changes was the redaction and codification of the Oral Law (see Mishna; Talmud) and the Midrash, which, as outgrowths of the biblical religion, centered on the relationships between God, His Torah, and His people, Israel. Emphasis was placed upon study of the Torah (in its broadest sense) as the most important religious act, leading to an understanding of the proper way of life; upon the growing need for national restoration in the face of continued Exile from the Promised Land; and upon the function of this world as preparatory for the World to Come (Olam ha-Bah), while not devaluing the importance of life in this world.

Rabbi’s came into existence only after the destruction of the Holy Temple.
Rabbinic Judaism, the normative form of Judaism that developed after the fall of the Temple of Jerusalem (ad 70).

So like the Roman Catholic Church, Rabbinic Judaism is profiting from the destruction of the Holy Temple.

Any wonder you people are in no hurry to rebuild the Temple.

The Christian men seeking to abolish abortions and contraceptives will be creating the very situation Jesus warned us about. Too many virgin births, to many claiming they are the true Messiah.

Hard to see God as pragmatic (practical) for picking the Jews as his chosen people. Soon after the Jews agreed to circumcision God’s covenant with the Jews began to fracture. Circumcision appeared to have reduced the sex drives of the Jews resulting in the diminishing Jewish population.

To add insult to injury the Jews even rejected Jesus the only begotten son of God and demanded that Jesus be crucified.

Today circumcised Muslims outnumber circumcised jews. The covenant of circumcision has shifted to the Muslim nations. There  are  1.9 billion muslims to 14 million  Jews.

The greatest achievements of the Israelites was their architecture, monotheistic religion, Ten Commandments, and their military. However, they were not enough to save the civilization. They fell due to the decline in leadership within the civilization, and attacks and conquest from the Assyrians and Babylonians.

Nope.  Jesus may have started the church. But the Roman Catholic Church did not start for hundreds of years later.

The History of the Catholic Church

To understand Roman Catholic Church history, you need to go back to the very beginning of this incredible movement. Catholicism may be one of the world’s most-practiced religions today, but things looked different in times past. Catholicism started as a grassroots movement of brave individuals striving to love their neighbors as themselves as Jesus taught them to. That brings us to the most fundamental part of the history of Catholicism — the life, work and resurrection of Jesus Christ on Earth.

Jesus Christ: The Founder of Catholicism

Jesus Christ founded the Roman Catholic Church during his earthly ministry around 30 A.D. Jesus shattered people’s preconceived notions of what it means to be religious and believe in God, while at the same time fulfilling ancient prophecies about the coming Messiah, and pointing people to a deeper relationship with God the Father. He changed the course of history forever in his short 33 years on the planet. Knowing that the Catholic Churchbegins with knowing about the life of Jesus. Let’s look at some of the major highlights of Jesus’ life and how he founded the Catholic faith:

Jesus’ birth: Jesus’ birth, or the nativity, was the miraculous occasion that set the following events into motion. The Gospel of Luke recounts Jesus’ birth in the city of Bethlehem to the Virgin Mary, whom Catholics highly venerate to this day. Jesus was born during Herod the Great’s rule of Judea during the reign of Roman Emperor Augustus. The Gospels describe Mary’s miraculous conception of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. Christians believe Jesus was born more than a man — he was born the Son of God incarnate.
Jesus’ earthly ministry: Before his crucifixion, Jesus spent several years performing miracles, preaching, teaching, doing good deeds and showing his disciples how to impact the world. From birth, Jesus’ earthly ministry includes important events like his baptism and the selection of the original Twelve Apostles. (Please consider changing these first couple of sentnces to: Jesus’ life, from birth, was spent in service as God’s son. As a child, he was found teaching Jewish leaders in the temple. As an adult, he began his ministry by preaching repentance, teaching love of others, healing the sick and blind, and casting out demons in order to bring people to a meaningful life of faith and salvation. Jesus’ earthly ministry includes important events such as demonstrating the act of baptism, and the selection of his Twelve Apostles) John the Baptist baptized Jesus around 28 A.D. during Tiberius Caesar’s 15th year on the throne. From there, Jesus began his ministry by selecting the apostles who would help him in his work and carry the torch after he was gone. The apostles include Peter, James and John, who were in Jesus’ inner circle and witnessed Jesus’ many sermons, miracles and teachings.
Peter and the apostles’ belief in Jesus as the Messiah:A pivotal moment of Catholic history is when Peter declares his belief that Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah sent by God to save mankind from their sins. This was in fulfillment of the Jewish Scriptures as well as the predictions of the Hebrew prophets of old. Peter, whose name appears more times in the Gospels than any other apostle, was the leader and spokesman of Jesus’ disciples, which makes his statement of Jesus’ divinity even more substantial.
Jesus’ betrayal, trial and crucifixion:In 30 A.D., Jesus’ final and most important events on Earth begin to unfold. Jesus makes his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where the people greeted him with great praise. But, Jesus’ own disciple Judas betrayed him and handed him over to the authorities to be tried on charges of blasphemy. Pontius Pilate, the procurator of Judea during the reigns of Herod Antipas and Tiberius, found Jesus guilty and sentenced him to death by crucifixion.
Christ’s resurrection and ascension into heaven: Three days after Jesus’ death and burial, his followers reported seeing him risen from the dead. Forty days later, Jesus gave the Great Commission to the apostles. Found in Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus’ Great Commission tells his disciples to go throughout the world, preaching the gospel and teaching people to observe his commands. Then, before ascending into heaven, Jesus promises to be with his disciples for all time.
It was this Great Commission that would launch the apostles on their world-changing mission of spreading the good news of Jesus. This would give birth to the Christian religion, and eventually, the Catholic faith as people observe it today.

hold up,

so you're serious ?

Follow the facts!!  No virgin birth reported after women started taking birth control pills to prevent virgin births. This was directly in proportion to the rise in Christianity in western countries and women attending church. Contraceptives and abortions were initiated by men who lacked faith in science, medicine and women.
But all that changed as men converted to Christianity. They believed it stops Jesus from returning as promised, obviously through another virgin birth.
Anal sex was a way of having it both ways, allowing both virgin births because it did not involve penetration of the Vagina and sexual gratification at the same time.

Christian men even took it a step further by turning to homosexuality where virgin births would be impossible and anal sex the norm. No contraceptives, abortions or birth control to prevent the return of Jesus in his preferred method of virgin birth conception.

Why Christians are against homosexuality is a contradiction. Even Jesus hung out  with his 12 disciples who were all men. He taught the world how to avoid interfering with virgin births before contraceptive or the birth control pill were invented.

Why would ritualism be the requirement of a pragmatic GOD?
God wants to give us opportunities to improve ourselves and to show our understanding of our place in the world. Ritual both in its internal parts and its entirety affords that opportunity.

I'm not sure,  though,  what you mean by a "pragmatic"  God.
Ritualism is essential to Jews because they are easier to repeat than sincerity.

The belief that it is necessary for rites or repeated sets of actions to be carried out. Webster Dictionary

Can anyone have a stab at this for me.
Jesus dies and then this happened
52  the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints  who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
Matthew 27:52-53
What does this actually mean?

It simply means Jesus’s death triggered the resurrection of his believers just as Jesus had promised.

I always thought along those lines,  that it simply means that the people rose up  ..... but not from being physically dead in their graves.
Matthew 27 says the bodies were in graves before they were raise.
Even Jesus’s tomb was empty  after he was raised from the dead.

It’s a lesson to Christians who believe in resurrection , they should not choose  to be cremated.

Virgin births are rare today because women take contraceptives to prevent that from happening. And when that fails resort to Abortion. This is why Christian men are against abortions. They believe it stops Jesus from returning as promised, obviously through another virgin birth.
What?! First, birth control isn't what makes parthenogenesis rare. It is exceedingly rare with or without contraceptives. Secondly, an all-powerful, all knowing entity could never lose in a game of 'abortion whack-a-mole' unless that was his intent. Anyone who claims to be against abortion for this reason needs to either evaluate and understand their beliefs a little better or stop being dishonest.

So Jews are still existing in Exile!! Was that from 70AD when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and scattered the Jews after the Old Covenant was destroyed.
There is a New Covenant Theology that no longer requires circumcision.
It is actually from a little after 70, but generally that's accurate. Nice work! Of course, your claim about the covenant being destroyed is wrong, but at least you know that Christianity doesn't require circumcision. You ARE capable of learning. Good work!
The moment I mentioned circumcision you became very agreeable.
The Jews willingly accepted for a piece of foreskin God would make them his chosen people. It’s the other sacrifices that turned the Jews against expanding the covenant of circumcision.

Peace or a Sword

@Tradesecret
It's recorded in Matthew 10:34 that Jesus says:

"Do not suppose I have come to bring peace to the  earth.  I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn 'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter in law against her mother in law a man's enemies will be the members of his own household."'

Jesus is quoting from the Micah 7:6.

What is Micah talking about in that particular chapter and why in the world would Jesus quote Micah in his time?

After all, isn't Jesus supposed to the prince of peace  ( Isaiah 9:6) Didn't the angels sing  at his birth "glory o God in the highest and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests". Luke 2:14

How can Jesus on one hand bring peace and on the hand tell us that he has not come to bring peace?  Is the simplistic answer to this that here is one of the many contradictions in the Bible or is there something else going on?

I wonder how many of us have the capacity to think outside of the box.  How is it possible to reconcile such statements?
When Joseph told Jesus he was not his biological father that Jesus was an illegitimate Jewish bastard. Jesus turned to the scriptures for answers and sought the destruction of the traditional family.

Matthew 10:35 For I have come to turn
“‘a man against his father,
    a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
36     a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[c]
37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

Paul's Message is Irrefutable
-->
@PGA2.0
1) There is not one instance of the mention of an already destroyed city or temple in any NT writing. This is significant, as John A.T. Robertson has pointed out in his masterful book, Redating the NT

"ONE of the oddest facts about the New Testament is that what on any showing would appear to be the single most datable and climactic event of the period - the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70, and with it the collapse of institutional Judaism based on the temple - is never once mentioned as a past fact. It is, of course, predicted; and these predictions are, in some cases at least, assumed to be written (or written up) after the event. But the silence is nevertheless as significant as the silence for Sherlock Holmes of the dog that did not bark.
For the most part, these are Jews writing about the coming of their Messiah and each writing contains warnings of impending judgment, yet none, not one of an already fulfilled prophecies about the most significant event in their Jewish history with God, the destruction of the temple and city as warned by the OT prophets and teachers, as well as all of them." p. 13
There is a good reason why none of the Gospels mention the destruction of the Holy Temple in 70AD, they were all written after 70AD.
Here is the biblical evidence.
Jesus spoke about the destruction of the temple. 30AD just before his death.
The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times
Matthew 24:1 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

But when asked when that was going to happen, he did not know.
Matthew 24:3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

The disciples  of Jesus were waiting for Jesus’s prophecy about the destruction of the temple to happen. But  it did not happen during their time and therefore they never spoke about it.

It was decades after the death of Jesus that people put the Gospels together. The Gospels were written in Greek for a Roman audience. It had to skip the nasty things the Romans did to the Jews. After all the new converts to the Roman Catholic Church were Greek citizens. Christianity had displaced Judaism the religion that Jesus and his disciples followed.  Finally, the Romans brought salvation to the Gentiles.

The sad part is that the quality of trolling is so low. Cut and paste, inaccurately summarize, make basic grammatical and logical mistakes...I guess I expected more from the troll.
The Jews set their expectations so high that even Jesus the only begotten son of God could not convince them he was their Messiah.

Unless Jesus picks another country for his expected return. He will suffer the same rejection by the Jews.

That is why menstruating women were deemed unclean in the Bible. Blood had to be spilled to make an atonement.

So a woman menstruating is deemed unclean but a man shedding blood is a sacrifice? Stop talking complete shite!

Women menstruate blood to discharge monthly buildup.

FFS!  A women's menstruation is simply discharging an unfertilised and  lining of the uterus.

The whole of the Old Testament, every book, points toward the Great Sacrifice that was to come—that of Jesus’ sacrificial giving of His own life on our behalf.

But he didn't want to die did he? He asked his "father" to be relieved of his burden? And was totally ignored. And it can hardly be a sacrifice if he knew he wasn't going to die, ie that he would be resurrected back to life as a man.

 “For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.”
A creature being an animal. We are talking a human sacrifice.
Jesus summed up the blood sacrifices and unappreciated women menstruation which was obviously very much on his mind on the cross.
Luke 23:34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Contradictions in the Bible (SURVEY)
-->
@Fruit_Inspector
Contradictions in the Bible.

Jesus said he had to die to save mankind. His ministry lasted only 3 years. Jesus could not even save his disciples.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him” (John 3:16-17).

Jesus said all authority was given to him.
Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Yet he allowed the Romans to continue to rule the people he was sent to save. The Romans went onto destroy the Holy Temple, destroy Jerusalem and slaughter the Jews in 70AD.

Matthew 15:24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”
The Romans destroyed Israel in 70AD and went on to establish the Roman Catholic Church for the Gentiles.

The Bible tells us when Adam discovered God was staring at his naked body he covered up.

Genesis 3:10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

It was only later that Adam discovered God was only looking at Eve’s naked body.

Hence Muslims only want women to cover their bodies with the hijab.

who was jesus father ?
-->
@Lunar108
Do you agree or not on that
jesus true father would have been known if they had DNA tests back then ?
instead of this garbage about god's son .

Nowhere in the Bible does Jesus claim to be born of a virgin. Just like nowhere in the Bible does Jesus claim to be God.
Jesus picked his 12 disciples when he started his ministry at the age of 30. They were total strangers and knew nothing about Jesus or his early childhood. His ministry lasted only 3 years before he was crucified. Which is why we have conflicting reports from the four gospel writers.

Luke names Joseph son of Heli as Jesus’s father.
Luke 3:23 Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph,
the son of Heli, 24 the son of Matthat,

Matthew names Joseph son of Jacob as Jesus father.
Matthew 1:15 Matthan the father of Jacob,
16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.

Mark does not mention anything about Jesus’s virgin birth. Neither does John.

We also learn Mary had other children. In Mark 6:3 Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph,[a] Judas and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.

We even know what his family thought of Jesus’s virgin birth.
Mark 3:21 When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

Wait there are other sperm donors according to Luke.
Luke 1:34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[b] the Son of God.

Happy Passover
-->
@rosends
Todays is Pesach Sheini (the second Passover) also known as Pesach Katan or Pesach Zeira (small or young Passover). It is the result of some people's ineligibility to partake in the initial Passover offering because of their spiritual impurity. They asked for an opportunity to be part of the ritual once they had cleansed themselves, so God set up a day one month after the Passover for them to have a small version of the holiday.

Here is some info on it:

Exodus never happened and the walls of Jericho did not come a-tumbling down. How archaeologists are shaking Israel to its biblical foundations.

Israel Finkelstein, chairman of the Archaeology Department at Tel Aviv University, with archaeology historian Neil Asher Silberman, has just published a book called "The Bible Unearthed: Archaeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of Its Sacred Text."

"The Israelites were never in Egypt, did not wander in the desert, did not conquer the land [of Canaan] in a military campaign and did not pass it on to the twelve tribes of Israel. Perhaps even harder to swallow is the fact that the united kingdom of David and Solomon, described in the Bible as a regional power, was at most a small tribal kingdom."

Jerusalem was essentially a cow town, not the glorious capital of an empire. These findings have been accepted by the majority of biblical scholars and archaeologists for years and even decades.

The tales of the patriarchs -- Abraham, Isaac and Joseph among others -- were the first to go when biblical scholars found those passages rife with anachronisms and other inconsistencies. The story of Exodus, one of the most powerful epics of enslavement, courage and liberation in human history, also slipped from history to legend when archaeologists could no longer ignore the lack of corroborating contemporary Egyptian accounts and the absence of evidence of large encampments in the Sinai Peninsula ("the wilderness" where Moses brought the Israelites after leading them through the parted Red Sea).

Finkelstein is an iconoclast. He established his reputation in part by developing a theory about the settlement patterns of the nomadic shepherd tribes who would eventually become the Israelites, bolstering the growing consensus that they were originally indistinguishable from the rest of their neighbors, the Canaanites. This overturns a key element in the Bible: The Old Testament depicts the Israelites as superior outsiders -- descended from Abraham, a Mesopotamian immigrant -- entitled by divine order to invade Canaan and exterminate its unworthy, idolatrous inhabitants.

The famous battle of Jericho, with which the Israelites supposedly launched this campaign of conquest after wandering for decades in the desert, has been likewise debunked: The city of Jericho didn't exist at that time and had no walls to come tumbling down. These assertions are all pretty much accepted by mainstream archaeologists.

"Research is research, and strong societies can easily endure discoveries like this." By comparison with today's skeptical turmoil, the early years of the modern Israeli state were a honeymoon period for archaeology and the Bible, in which the science seemed to validate the historical passages of the Old Testament left and right. As Finkelstein and Silberman relate, midcentury archaeologists usually "took the historical narratives of the Bible at face value"; Israel's first archaeologists were often said to approach a dig with a spade in one hand and the Bible in the other. The Old Testament frequently served as the standard against which all other data were measured: If someone found majestic ruins, they dated them to Solomon's time; signs of a battle were quickly attributed to the conquest of Canaan. Eventually, though, as archaeological methods improved and biblical scholars analyzed the text itself for inconsistencies and anachronisms, the amount of the Bible regarded as historically verifiable eroded. The honeymoon was over.

Marcus says that Finkelstein is "difficult to dismiss because he's so much an insider in terms of his credentials and background. He's an archaeologist, not a theologian, and he is an Israeli. It's hard to say that someone who was born in Israel and intends to live the rest of his life there is anti-Israeli."

How Do You Know The Bible Is True?
-->
@FLRW
Mathew didn't write the Book of Mathew. Most scholars believe the gospel was composed between AD 80 and 90, with a range of possibility between AD 70 to 110; a pre-70 date remains a minority view. The work does not identify its author, and the early tradition attributing it to the apostle Matthew is rejected by modern scholars.
If it is the truth, what does it matter who said it

Belief in Jesus in central to over 2 billion Christians. You cannot dismiss that  for a pragmatic perspective.

believers think that "without a reverence for god and a fear of hellfire, there is no moral compass"

but this belief is demonstrably false

so, although they THINK "the jesus" informs their decision making

it has almost zero REAL influence
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Virgin births are rare today because women take contraceptives to prevent that from happening. And when that fails resort to Abortion. This is why Christian men are against abortions. They believe it stops Jesus from return as promised, obviously through another virgin birth.

great point
That is if you believe like most Americans that Jesus picked America for his return. Abortion is legal in Israel. The first virgin birth did not turn out so good for the Jewish people.

Yes, god  is great. Remember that the people who flew the plane into the World Trade center said 'Allahu Akbar' (which translates to mean “God is the greatest,”)
Even the Pentagon agreed the Sept 11 mission was successful. It brought about a recession. American troops after 20 years in Afghanistan had to withdraw in humiliation similar to the Saigon experience.

God must love a challenge. Who would have thought believing God is Great would produce such dramatic results?

Why should anyone miss you?

MISS TRADESECRET RUNAWAY EXCUSE #1: Tradesecret will call you a “bully,” for making her the Bible fool, or for asking questions that she could not answer, even though the questions asked were logically valid and biblically axiomatic!

MISS TRADESECRET RUNAWAY EXCUSE #2: Tradesecret will accuse you of “stalking” her if you repeat more than once why Tradesecret hasn’t addressed your questions in the first place!

MISS TRADESECRET RUNAWAY EXCUSE #3: Tradesecret will use the ruse of “attacking them personally,” by name calling, which has nothing to do with the questions asked to her. Where the irony is she performs this act as well. Can Tradesecret spell H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T-E?  Sure she can.

MISS TRADESECRET RUNAWAY EXCUSE #4: she will just go “SILENT” to your questions in the hopes that you will forget about the fact that you presented them to her in the first place!

MISS TRADESECRET RUNAWAY EXCUSE #5:  she will give you “cutesy” excuses and images to try and take your mind off of the FACT that she is running away again from your valid axiomatic biblical questions! Child-like, but what did we expect. :(

MISS TRADESECRET RUNAWAY EXCUSE #6: Now if you want to make her the continued Bible fool, she “may” answer you if your question or statement to her is “properly presented to her!“ LOL!

MISS TRADESECRET RUNAWAY EXCUSE #7:  She will tell you that you are not interpreting the scripture correctly, even though it is LITERAL in nature. She disagrees with the literal presentation of any passage or narrative that embarrasses her, then she will come up with another ungodly "convenient interpretation" of said verse to make you wrong!

MISS TRADESECRET RUNAWAY EXCUSE #8:  She will tell you that what you have found regarding her ungodly and despicable nature is because you have "hacked" into her DA account, and changed her posts to disgusting posts to further embarrass her! Priceless runaway tactic.

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #9: She will divert the attention away from her in failing to prove her point by calling you a “creepy old man or a dunce.”

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #10”:  She will use the term that you “Distract and Attack” to save her from further embarrassment to her outright Bible stupidity and ignorance that has no bounds!

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #11: She will say that she is not answering personal questions even though she at times presents personal things of hers in her posts, like showing us she is an admitted SEXUAL DEVIANT!  https://www.imagebam.com/view/MEBCZRV

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #12:  When you challenge her to a debate like I did, she will  tell you that you argue like a 12 year old girl or boy and have not matured enough, therefore she will RUN away from debating you, because in essence, she can't debate you in the first place!

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #13:  She will tell you that you don’t have a brain and that you are a fake, and you don’t have the background to discuss religion with her.

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #14:  She will tell you that you look “dumb” and that you couldn’t really grasp the subject matter, therefore she will RUN AWAY from your posst to her and hide.

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #15:  Zeus forbid if you are an Atheist who outright owns her Bible stupidity, because she'll send up a smoke screen to prevent the Atheist from further embarrassing her regarding the Bible, she will call you names and blanket unwarranted claims about your denying any God.

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #16:  Her computer tells her that she should not open up webpage links it does not recognize that you have posted to her, therefore releasing her from further biblical embarrassment!  LOL!

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #17:  If you make a derogatory comment to her it is enough for her to not address your question, BUT, she makes these same remarks to other members, can we say HYPOCRITE, sure we can!

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #18: She will call your posts to her as LIES, therefore there is no need for her to discuss your posts, yes, this is true! Can we call Miss Tradesecret the habitual RUNAWAY? Sure we can!

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #19:  She will tell you that your posts are “not worth it” to respond too, in once again showing her outright Bible ignorance to run away from them!

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #20:  She will tell you that she doesn’t give a “toss” about your stupid ideas of a post you’ve directed to her, again, in running away from it as usual.

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #21:  When she opens a previous link that was directed to her, and after opening it and it showed her that she was wrong in her perceived biblical knowledge, she will tell you that she DID NOT open said post because she could care less in what you proposed!  LOL

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #22:  She will tell you that you don’t have enough “integrity” to take her time in debating you or answer your questions as a little crybaby!

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #23: If she knows you will easily “own her Bible stupidity,” and allegedly you are using a fake personna, she will not debate you or answer your questions, other than to run away and HIDE from them!

MISS TRADESECRET EXCUSE #24: She will answer questions that she wants to answer, and not other questions that makes her the Bible fool!
