Self determinationism
-->
@RemyBrown
How come the American left supports self determination for Canada and not for Crimea?   If one consistently backed self determination, then they would not only support Canada being independent, but they would also support Crimea joining Russia (as well as any other areas that wanted to join Russia that are in Ukraine).

If your primary ethos is self determination for national borders, then be consistent with it.  But virtually nobody is.
America has no say in the future of either country.

So far no negative outcome from combining the two.

Take care.

Mall's video debate summary - Did Jesus invent Christianity? Can you be holy and sin?
-->
@Clausewitzian
Acts 15 (Jerusalem Council) records Paul arguing against circumcision for Gentiles.
Paul removed kosher obligations (Romans 14), Sabbath requirements (Colossians 2:16), and deliberately made Christianity accessible to Gentiles by discarding Jewish boundary markers.
It worked: Gentiles flooded in, and the Jewish identity of the movement vanished within a generation.
True Christianity identified with non kosher and freedom from circumcision. But Islam embraces food restrictions and circumcision and Muslims will soon out number Christians

@Mall
What do you mean Jesus wanted to be a religious leader?

Yes, Jesus is generally considered to have been a religious leader. He taught and interpreted the Law of God, debated with religious leaders, and gathered followers, including the twelve apostles, according to Christian tradition. Jesus was seen as an itinerant teacher who spoke with divine authority and was often called "rabbi".

I suspect, Saul felt the sect would die if more weren't allowed to join. Therefor he got rid of circumcision, sabbath, kosher, and many other things required of jews, to make the faith appear more welcoming to Gentiles, and it worked. Gentiles joined fast, and the faith spread steadily.
Even though Paul should be credited for the spread of Christianity. He based it on the life and teachings of Jesus giving credit entirely to Jesus.

Can your god affect reality?
-->
@Tradesecret
Yes, he affects my reality. I believe in God and I serve his wishes to the best of my ability.

He affects others, too. A good example is this question. If God didn't affect your reality, then you wouldn't have asked this question.
If God did not affect Jesus’s reality. Jesus would have avoided crucifixion.
John 12:49-50
For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”

All arguments used to justify Canadian independence are either emotional or refutable

A5: Canadians will never become American!  End of story!

R5: Emotional argument.  Who cares?  Your emotions don't and shouldn't matter; quit being a retarted Karandian (Karen Canadian).  You were slapped too little as a child and that needs to change.  Stop caring about your feelings; they're irrelevant.  Grow a thick skin you fucking pussy!  When you base your arguments on emotion, you become hypocritical and you don't care.  You even defend the hypocrisy and then accuse MAGA of being hypocritical.  Don't be a retard!  Don't form ideology based on emotion you fucking spoiled pricks!
Canadians care. Canadians enjoy a life better than most Americans. Higher education, healthcare and freedom.

Is a perfect sales tax actually regressive?
So, read a book, find somebody besides me with an economics degree, it’s even as simple as using Google, they will all tell you that a sales tax is a regressive tax, and none of them will say except for “in real dollars” and not if “all money is meant to be spent”.

Yes, sales tax is generally considered a regressive tax. This means that it affects low-income individuals disproportionately compared to high-income individuals. While everyone pays the same sales tax rate on goods and services, it represents a larger percentage of a lower-income person's budget than it does for a higher-income person.

The federal government considers "basic groceries" to be zero-rated which means there is no GST or HST on those items. Whether or not you already know that there are no taxes on certain groceries, you might not know all of the food and drink products you don't pay tax on in Canada.
Which would make the sales tax progressive, the opposite of regressive.
That is if you live in Canada.

Read what you posted about your personal experiences.

I never asserted that my personal experiences were fact, not ever. A personal experience by definition would be ones own opinion.  Are politicians more honest as a whole or less honest as a whole? Add what percentage of them swear?  My personal experience is that almost none ever swear and most are deceptive liars. Is this a fact I can prove?  No. How many people would disagree?

I specified a sales tax that avoids loopholes. That would mean all consumption is sales taxable. There are loopholes for income tax, too, it's really not that different.

Mature for my age.

Mature in thought, or comparatively more mature in terms of  physiological development?

Though some might argue, that we are all as mature as our age dictates.
Yes, it's common for some individuals to appear more mature than others, even at similar ages.
This can be due to factors like varying rates of development, life experiences, and individual coping mechanisms.

Additionally, societal expectations and the specific context of a person's life can also influence how they appear to others.

It remains an eyewitness account.

In so much as, what went down was witnessed by Jesus's boyfriend, who told someone else, who told someone else, who told someone else, who jotted it down and gave it to someone else, who translated it and jotted it down and  gave it to someone else, who translated it again and jotted it down and gave it to someone else.

Eventually it ended up being jotted down and included in a best seller, that was translated and transcribed into many languages many times.

Such is an eyewitness account.
Jesus was eventually crucified proving the blasphemy charges were real.

I'm ignoring capital gains tax, but that's because that tends to work separately from income tax. A sales tax + capital gains tax would function the same as an income tax + capital gains tax.

What makes a sales tax "perfect"?  What is the difference between a sales tax and a perfect sales tax?

Which best describes sales tax?
Sales tax applies when consumers purchase goods and services. It's a type of consumption tax, meaning it taxes people as they spend money, rather than on their income. A sales tax is also a type of indirect tax, which means it isn't paid directly to the government, the way income tax is.

Pope Francis
-->
@IlDiavolo
I admire the People's Pope. Pope Francis was seen as taking a more progressive stance on LGBTQ+ issues during his papacy. He famously said, "Who am I to judge?" in reference to gay individuals seeking the Lord, and he also stated that homosexuality is not a crime. He also approved blessings for same-sex couples and urged the inclusion of transgender people in the life of the church.
Ironically, great part of catholics, very conservative catholics, disliked this pope because of that.

I don't like his political posture, he's very lefty like you, but I agree with him about the inclusion of everyone.
The Popes ministry lasted 12 years. Jesus’s ministry only lasted 3 years before he was crucified. Be grateful.
