Thanks for the offer. I think I can work it out, but it will take a lot of time. I'll need to retrain myself to not get distracted and stay focused.

Goodbye Sir, I will miss playing mafia with you. You are one of the better players here.
Thanks. It was fun to play with you.
I am sorry about my arguments with you in that theweakeredge thread, I hope that isn't any influence in you leaving.
Don't be. Nothing anyone on DART has done anything  that has made me want to leave. I'm the reason I need to leave, not anyone else.

Goodbye
I don't want to, but I need to say goodbye yet again. I've hit a low point in my life. This site and many other things have become too much of a distraction for me. I don't have the self-control to limit my time here like I need to. I need to quit this site and do my best to quit a bunch of other time-consuming habits. I've gotten  to the point where all the time I'm spending on the internet is having serious negative impacts in my life. I don't have time for the things that matter most because of it. I'll finish  my debate with Mall and disappear. I hate to say it, but it will probably be permanent this time. I know myself too well to risk coming back. I wouldn't be able to stop myself from wasting too much time again.

I'll miss you guys, and I wish you the best. God bless.

I think supa went way too hard on ayya dp1.
Yes, he did.
You didn't do to bad this game though
Thanks. Should have had my fake claim ready sooner. When Danielle asked for my claim, real life got in the way, so I couldn't research one for several hours.
 If you had a better partner you might have been able to win this.
Maybe. I knew I'd lost as soon as Danielle started pressuring me early in DP2. There was no escape from POE at that point.

@Lunatic
Wasn't the new testament basically God correcting the Bible?
No.
Just add centuries of people doing it and using their own verbiage, and you end up with over 20 versions of the Bible as is.
Not really. Even the copies of the Bible that were made hundreds of years and thousands of miles apart are still overwhelmingly similar.
The difference between the bible and every other piece of ancient literature is how much we treat the information in all literature as fact. Information on politics, social structures, mythology, etc is preserved because it's history. We can learn from it, but we also understand the literature is written by humans, and scholars don't take every piece of information as fact the way Christians do with the Bible. You can cross apply that to basically any religion that regards ancient texts the same way.
I don't think I disagree with this. The point I was making was simply that the Bible was passed down accurately.
So it claims to be true and you believe it to be true.
Both those statements are true, but I don't believe it is true simply because it claims to be true. I've seen Christians make that argument. It's utterly cringeworthy.
I don't know why you specifically believe it to be true, but from my talks with other Christians I've heard argument like how certain things have been found that are historically accurate in the Bible, as well evidence of other events happening, etc. Because some of the major events may have happened doesn't mean the stuff involving magic and god demontrating his powers is correct though. Finding some truth in something =/= everything being true. You can use this logic with any conspiracy theory; You take a few things that happened, seemed wierd and don't make sense, and then form a grand conclusion from it. It's why Alex Jones is so popular despite making pretty out there claims. You take a little bit of truth and make a grand conclusion from it.

Alien conspiracies are the same for me; There is a lot of evidence to suggest intelligent life, but nothing so concrete and solid. People's who supposedly have no idea of who each other are can collaberate stories on finding and seeing technology that exceeds human technological standards near area 51, and near california. Bob Lazar's stories also match up with these stories. Does this mean aliens exist? I am sure you would say no. I also would say that.
Agreed. You can't prove that something is entirely true by saying that these parts over here have been proven to be true. While that is definitely a good sign compared to the opposite scenario where those parts are false, you still can't say that something is completely true simply because we've proven it's partly true.
I've heard christians make the argument that the bible predicted we would one day have helicopters because of a passage that mentions the coming of loud locust like machines. I have a hard time taking arguments like that completely seriously for the same reasons I do Lochness, or Bigfoot, or aliens.
For good reason. To support the Loch Ness monster, Bigfoot, and aliens, you have to squint really hard at some low-quality pictures. To support the helicopter claim, you have to squint really hard at a verse from Revelation.
It's a human interpretation of God's word, not actual God's word though.
I think the originals were God's actual Word and that we can be confident that what we have to day is very close to those originals. However, the human interpretation of it can definitely be flawed.
It's why many religions also find themselves changing belief structures towards race, and sexual preference as society progresses. "Oh maybe we just mis-understood what this passage meant, I guess this is okay now".
Religions and people in them are subject to and influenced by society. However, their religious texts still say what they say. Interpretation doesn't change that. That's true of any written text. People can interpret text however they like, but it will still say what it says.
If God's written word were so omnipotent and important, you'd think he's be a bit more transparent, seeing as many religious attrocities are often commited in the name of what people think God's word is.
I think "Thou shalt not murder" is pretty transparent. Still, I don't deny that a great many atrocities have been committed in God's name. But think about this: suppose someone were to kidnap a bunch of Muslims and point guns to their heads, threatening to shoot unless they denounce Islam. Suppose this person said he was doing so in the name of Mohammed. Does that mean Mohammed would approve of his actions simply because they were done in his name? Of course not. No matter how the person interpreted the Koran that Mohammed wrote (well, dictated), it wouldn't change the fact that the Koran doesn't endorse forcing people to abandon Islam under pain of death. The same is true of God and the Bible.
I can't fathom then, how someone would ignore a God hypothetically proving himself to exist, and then correcting the things in said Bible.
I don't think you mentioned the proof earlier. If there was undeniable proof that the voice talking to me was God, and the voice told me that some things in the Bible were wrong, I might believe it. Or I might go into a mental crisis because everything I believe just got flushed down the toilet and the rug was pulled out from under my feet. But without undeniable proof, I wouldn't believe it.

It would also depend on what the voice was saying. If it could prove it was God and it told me that there were some errors in the Bible, I'd believe it. But if it could prove it was God and it told me to murder someone, I honestly don't think I would respond rationally at that point. I'd probably deny it in spite of what my mind told me. I don't even want to contemplate what would happen if I did respond rationally. But as I told theweakeredge, I don't think that scenario is actually possible.

Reread Intel's posts in the last two games - just his posts, not the entire games. I didn't really see any significant change in style. It was roughly the same mix of really brief analysis and complaints about no one else being active at the same time.

So you're saying you don't know how to play the game?
No, just that I don't know that part of the game.
Explain how anyone is ever supposed to read you town if you're only going to jump on other people's analyses.
How you interpreted a post in which I explicitly stated that I would provide analysis to mean that I would only jump on other people's analyses is beyond me.
You were mafia with Intel last game. Do you think he came up with his role as a fake claim? Pie said he'd give scum either one fake character OR role claim. So if Intel is scum, he (or Supa) would have had to come up with a role or character to fit that role block trait. Could you see Intel coming up with that and/or do you recognize any trends or traits about how Intel plays as scum vs. how he's playing here?
Unless Pie gave it to the mafia as a fake claim, there's very little chance Intel came up with it on his own. Supra easily could, though. I'll have to reread his posts in both games to answer your question about his behavior. For obvious reasons, I didn't bother to analyze his behavior last game. I'll have to go do that.

I mean I asked whether or not we should pressure for more claims. Granted I had tagged Lunatic in the post asking that question, but you replied to my other post where I tagged Speed. Why wouldn't you feel compelled to respond to a general question I had about the game?
Because I don't have enough experience or skill as town to even know when pressuring for more claims is a good idea. (Outside of obvious scenarios when the person is acting scummily or there's something that can be easily tested)
Why not give your opinion on who, if anyone, you want to pressure or vote for?
I was going to answer that one and just forgot about it. Anyway, the answer is Intel. He was on the Ayyantu lynch, and Supa was definitely trying to push that as a mislynch. Could have been a bus, but I doubt that.
Do you have any thoughts on Intelligence's claim?
Rats, I had thoughts on his claim too and forgot to post them. I don't think his claim itself is suspicious, but it would be a convenient fake claim for a role blocker. Water's claim is interesting because it confirms that there is a jailkeeper or RB or some other similar role out there. I'm not sure whether it would be more likely that they're on the same side or different sides.
You don't give your opinion on anything so a claim might help get a read on you. However I'd be willing to waive that if you give some analysis or input of what you'd like to do this day phase.
I won't have time for in-depth analysis until tonight, but I'll get there. Most likely, anyway.

I have my reasons. I dunno if they're good lol why don't you ask?
Well, the reasons I had in mind were more along the lines of more people asking me to claim. Also, it's not very hard to figure out at least of few of your reasons just by reading what you've already said. Even so, I'm usually pretty resistant to claiming when only one person is asking me to because I don't like giving out info that could help scum.
You're probs town but it's impossible to read you. That's definitely a compliment though I could see how it might be a handicap in the future if you become a target for early pressure because of it.
Well, speed is hard to read, but he's almost never pressured. I'm not too worried about it.

I thought we could get some info by choosing Intel because water said at one point "there is at least 1 scum on Intel's wagon" when there were only ever 3 people on it: me, Greyparrot and Bearman. I could read GP town, I know I'm town and I wanted to see if water would maintain that position and push for Bearman's lynch if Intel appeared innocent (if not I'd question water on that).
That makes a lot of sense. Good catch with Water's logic. I hadn't stopped to consider the implications of that post.

You're welcome. Physics is a pretty intimidating subject, unless you really find it interesting. Conservation of energy is one of the best parts because of the order in which they teach it. They usually start with kinematics, which is a lot harder to use. By the time you get to energy, it seems easy by comparison.

Okay, something useful. Maybe.

Have you ever wondered how fast that rock at the top of the hill would be moving when it reached the bottom of the hill, if you were to push it off? Or how about how fast an object is moving just before it hits the ground? There's a pretty easy way to answer both these questions: conservation of energy. You've probably at least heard of it before, if you haven't encountered it in a physics course. There are two types of mechanical energy that would need to be considered in the above scenarios: potential energy (PE) and kinetic energy (KE). For the purposes of this discussion, I'll ignore non-mechanical energy. PE is the energy an object has due to its height above an arbitrary surface. For example, if there was a book on a shelf 5 feet high, then the potential energy would be equal to the energy the book would have if it fell off the shelf. This is a result of the conservation of energy, which simply means that energy in a closed system can not be created or destroyed. In this case, the closed system is the book. Since we are only considering mechanical energy, the book will only have PE and KE. Thus, the sum of the PE and KE of the book at any point in time will be equal to the sum of the PE and KE of the book at any other point in time. Expressed mathematically, PE_1 + KI_1 = PE_2 + KE_2.

Both PE and KE have relatively simple equation. PE is dependent on the mass of the object, its height above the ground or any other arbitrary surface, and the acceleration due to gravity. Expressed mathematically, PE = mgh. KE is a function of the object's mass and its velocity squared, or KE = 0.5mv^2.

Of course, the theory doesn't make a whole lot of sense until it's demonstrated, so I'll solve the problem with the book. We can state that mgh_1 + 0.5m(v_1)^2 = mgh_2 + 0.5m(v_2)^2. The mass of the book doesn't change, so all of the m's are equal and cancel out. This is extremely useful, because we don't even need to know the book's mass. The book is 5 feet off the ground, so h_1 = 5 ft and h_2 = 0 ft. If you wanted to, you could say something like h_1 = 15.72 ft and h_2 = 10.72 ft. It won't make any difference in the end. However, it's a lot easier to define the ground as being 0 ft. If we do that, we can immediately see that the term mgh_2 will just be 0, since any number multiplied by 0 is 0. We can also eliminate the term 0.5m(v_1)^2 because the book is just sitting on the shelf, so its initial velocity is 0. The acceleration due to gravity on earth is 32 ft/s^2 (9.8 m/s^2). This is all the information we need to solve the problem.

mgh_1 + 0.5m(v_1)^2 = mgh_2 + 0.5m(v_2)^2

Mass cancels.

gh_1 + 0.5(v_1)^2 = gh_2 + 0.5(v_2)^2

Substitute v_1 = 0 and h_2 = 0.

gh_1 = 0.5(v_2)^2

Solving for v_2.

v_2 = sqrt(2gh_1)

Substituting g = 32 ft/s^2 and h_1 = 5 ft.

v_2 = sqrt(2*(32 ft/s^2)*(5 ft)) = 17.9 ft/s.

This is the final solution. If the book falls off the shelf, it will reach 17.9 ft/s just before it hits the ground. Solving this problem also gave us a very useful equation: v_2 = sqrt(2gh_1). This equation can be applied for any object on any planet. However, it will not apply for any height. You may have noticed that it only considers the effects of gravity and ignores air resistance. Thus, this equation wouldn't work for objects like a piece of paper that are strongly affected by air resistance. It also wouldn't work for an object that was high enough up that it reached terminal velocity before it hit the ground. It works for ideal situations in which things like air resistance isn't an issue. However, there are many situations that are very close to ideal. It can be used to get a very close approximation for objects that are dense enough that air resistance isn't a major factor and are low enough that terminal velocity isn't an issue. Thus, it will be useful for most everyday situations.

It would also be pretty easy to solve if the book had an initial velocity. Perhaps counterintuitively, it doesn't matter whether that initial velocity is up or down because velocity is squared. You can understand this pretty simply. If the book is thrown down so it has initial velocity downward, the book will have a higher velocity when it hits the ground. If the book is thrown upward, then the book will go up for a while and then fall down from a higher height. This equation allows us to see that, so long as the magnitude of the velocity is equal, the direction doesn't matter.

The units for energy are Joules. 1 J = 1 N * m = 1 kg * m^2 / s^2.

I should probably stop there before I run away into work, calculus, kinematics, and a gazillion other things that are related to this concept. Hopefully this made some sense and wasn't too boring or difficult to understand.

@Theweakeredge
XYZ = full spatial deck. Are we playing with a full deck?

We have 31 left and right skew great planes ---ergo total 62--  of the 5-fold icosahedron

Pi^3{ XYZ } = 31.00 62 7 '66'

Complex animals have 31 bilateral spinal nerves ergo 62 total.

P^4 - 31{ XYZ } = '66'.4

In Phi explorations we find the following set of 31 on each side of #5 ---31 5 31 which is the  32nd and 33rd run of digits ending with a #5

31  5......................32nd run is a shortrun...........................3 digits

31 7 '141' 011704 666 5..............................................................16 digits
..take note of 14 1 that is also beginning of Pi's irrational side --see below--- and 666 triplet relevant to this post.

Pi^4 - 31 { XYZ } = 66.4  aka Pi-Time so 2 tenths short of 66.6, ergo we do the following;

Pi^4 - 30.8 = 66.60, i.e. if 31 is a full  XYZ { spatial } deck, then some one ----30.8 ---    is not playing with a full deck { 31 }

Pi {3 . '1 4  1' 5  9 2  6 5  3 5  8 9  7 9  3 2  3 8  4 6  2 6  4 3  3 8  3 2  7 9  5 0  2 8  8 4  1 9  7 1  6 9  3 9 '' 9 3  7 5  1 0  5 8  2 0  9 7  4 9  4 4  5 9  2 3  0 7  8 1  6 4  0 6  2 8  6 2  0 8  9 9  8 6  2 8  0 3  4 8  2 5  3 4  2 1  1 7  0 6  7 9  8 2  1 4  8 0  8 6  5 1  3 2  8 2  3 0  6 6  4 7  0 9  3 8  4 4  6 0  9 5 '' 5 0  5 8  2 2  3 1  7 2  5 3  5 9  4 0  8 1  2 8  4 8  1 1 1  7 4  5 0  2 8  4 1  0 2  7 0  1 9  3 8  5 2  1 1
5  '' 5 5

Now we reduce infinite angle to circle, to, finite 360 degrees of angle = 720 degrees, and that val.  ue  is equal  to the four triangles of 3D tetrahedrons 12, 60 degree angles = 720 degree and that equals two sets of 360 degrees ergo can we safely say two sets of Pi should be used for 3D?

Pi + Pi = 6.28 31 85 30 71 79 58 64 76 92 52 86 76 65 59 and on that note I will have to explore elsewhere at another time.

Let us now view Pi's irrational side differrent by isolating #1 away for all following double digits....note: I only began tracking irrational side double digits when I first found the double 00's on Pi^3 = 31.00.  Those double 00's just made the  rational 31 so much more isolated away from the irrational side that I thought that was of cosmic significance.

3 . 1  4 1  5 9  2 6  5 3  5 8  9 7  9 3  2 3  8 4  6 2  6 4  3 3  8 3  2 7  9 5  0 2  8 8  4 1  9 7  1 6  9 3  9 9  3 7  5 1  0 5  8 2  0 9  7 4  9 4  4 5  9 2  3 0  7 8  1 6  4 0  6 2  8 6  2 0  8 9  9 8  6 2  8 0  3 4   8 2  5 3  4 2  1 1  7 0  6 7  9 8  2 1  4 8  0 8  6 5  1 3  2 8  2 3  0 6  6 4  7 0  9 3  8 4  4 6  0 9  '5 5'  0 5  8 2  2 3  1 7  2 5  3 5  9 4  0 8  1 2  8 4  8 1  1 1  7 4  5 0  2 8  4 1  0 2  7 0  1 9  3 8  5 2  1 1
5  5 5

Conclusions: Pi powerings came first for me and were interesting enough.  The Phi alone was very interesting.  Now here below, I'm looking further into Pi, in of itself to see what cosmic signifcance may appear to me. Ex the first triplet is 111 and first irrational digit is  #1.  Would be great to find a 31 on each side of a single digit, but then again we have to be careful in these types of patteren search cause Phi is not Pi and so on and so on.

So should the triple zero make for a starting place of seperating the first part of Pi from all that comes after 000 into triples only?  See that is not exactly the same as Pi^3 = 31.00, wherein those double zeroes set apart rational from irrational, or seemingly so to me.

Might be interesting to see how far I would have to go to find a 31 n 31 bilateral set.

Will we send tourist civilians into space before mounting an expedition to Mars?

I'm Illuminati, and you weren't wearing your tinfoil beanie.

More seriously, I think what I said was pretty clear to anyone who pays much attention to space exploration. No bucks, no Buck Rogers.

I like the story, and I agree with theweakeredge that switching the traditional roles helped. It kept it from being too cliche. However, the rhyme scheme is simply nonexistent. Sometimes it rhymes, sometimes it doesn't. When is does rhyme, there's no pattern to which lines rhyme. So that could use some work. Still, I enjoyed it.

If I were a betting man, which I'm not, I'd place really good odds on space tourism preceding a Mars expedition. Congress isn't willing to cough up the money for a Moon shot, let alone a Mars shot. Simply put, the public will to fund something that expensive just isn't there. On the other hand, space tourism has a clear chance to make profit and doesn't require federal funding.

Ya know what I don't see why we should make a mountain out of a molehill here, i'll concede on a few things. Supa was going all out on hoping for the Ayya lynch, I have to assume the other scum was on board.
That would make sense. It does seem somewhat more likely that Supa's partner was an inexperienced player rather than a veteran, since a veteran might have cautioned against pushing that hard for a mislynch. Of course, reigning in Supa is a difficult task, so that could be totally wrong. I don't want to vtl Intel right now, since he's at L-2 and I don't want his lynch pushed through before everyone has a chance to check in.

Also, the last time wagon analysis made sense to me, it was Drafter bussing his partner, winning plenty of town cred in the process. Not something I'd like to repeat. Not that I sus you much right now, but I know better than to rule you out.

Just so you know, there is a mandated punishment for rickrolling.

I send a pestilence and plague
Into your house, into your bed
Into your streams, into your streets
Into your drink, into your bread
Upon your cattle, on your sheep
Upon your oxen in your field
Into your dreams, into your sleep
Until you break, until you yield!

You were right, Disc. The humor of being rickrolled does decay logarithmically. Quite the astute observation.

The other scum could've done the kill, 11 players means most likely 3 scum
That's possible. I thought 2 was the norm for 11 player, though.

That's valuable info. Since there was an NK, we know that BearMan can't be scum. However, I'm not sure it was a good idea to claim that, since it paints a target on his back, and yours as well (unless you're scum doing a gambit, which I guess is possible, though I don't think it's likely).
