I feel like debating is dying everywhere. No one is interested in truth but just interested to spread their ideology/religion. this is why you rarely see people change their mind, their religion or their political ideology.

Waste is stored in barrels lined with lead and stone. There’s no worries there.
there are worries. these barrels need to last a very very long time and be durable enough to survive natural conditions such as earthquakes for many many centuries, and preferably be stored very far from rivers, sea or civilization. My country has issues because neighboring country Croatia wants to store that radioactive waste on our border. the problem with radioactive waste is that it doesnt go away. It stays where you put it for probably 20,000 years, if not more. And no one wants that in their yard.

It's actually crazy how we can't have nuclear power because the Soviets couldn't keep their massive shitbox maintained.
Solar panels and those other renewable are mostly useless. At some point, country has to switch to nuclear power, because coal runs out, and other means of producing electricity are more flawed and expensive. But radioactive waste from nuclear power plants is a big issue.

Actually, government has brainwashed people to support being authoritarian by using old tactic "its them, not us" and "security is priority".
Basically, person has less reason to rebel if others lose freedom and he gains freedom, or if he thinks he gains security when losing own freedom.
Government deploys tactic "harm one to please another", so for every person harmed, another is pleased.
Also, government teaches that losing freedom is "for your own good and security."
"We need to abolish this freedom to have security." - and that logic goes so far.
People dont rebel against authoritarian government, they enable it. Its the smarter minority which rebels usually.

Nihilism is unique in a way, that truth nihilism is such that it believes truth doesnt exist.
Moral nihilism believes morals dont exist.
Value nihilism believes values are meaningless.
Nihilism is just the most honest position once person understands the world, but nihilism as nihilism is also the most harmful position. People need delusions, so nihilism on its own isnt enough. Nihilism just lets you remove all other delusions so you select the one which suits you more.

I already live virtual life. Most of my communication is virtual. I would choose virtual world any time over real world. the people who want to fight against virtual world dont understand that there are many of us who have no any place in real world, and the reason we choose virtual world is because real world is worse for us.

I'd see it more as inherited consequences of a parents sin, than inheriting their sin.
Sin results in consequences for the person which does it, but even more for other people.
So yes, person A is more punished for sin X than person B, even tho person B did the sin.

Chess is easily the greatest board game of all time. It’s as good some modern video games.
Chess is a memory game. First few moves in game change entire outcome later. I would play chess, but I get bored of undoing 10 moves each time I end up in unwinnable situation.

My Xiaomi phone is the best phone I ever had.
I used to think Samsung is king of phones. But samsung is more expensive than xiaomi. Fact that I can play all latest games on my 170$ phone is amazing.
I could have also bought used iphone 12 for similar price. But I hate apple OS. I dont think its better, especially with the fact that Xiaomi has 8gb ram plus 8gm ram extension.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 4G feels like flagship phone. Of course, I did have to manually disable all apps from running in backround, which maybe caused phone to be faster.
I have both notes and office app for writing installed by default, didnt have to install them myself.
Also, Xiaomi has second storage, which basically means 2 phones in one. Amazing.
I used to be a fan of samsung, because its phone seemed to last for almost a decade and still work fine.
So now I have two phones, old Samsung and new Xiaomi.
Old samsung still works, but it is slower than Xiaomi and obviously cant play latest games, also only has like 32 GB memory, where Xiaomi has 256 GB memory.

Users moved on after this site crashed. If it didnt crash, maybe it wouldnt happen, but it did, and for many, that long crash was too much. Personally, I will keep using both sites, this site is now more anarchy, so it could be fun to see where it goes from here.
