The point is, kids don't even know what to be "straight" means. They only know it's a bad thing because there's no reward for it.
Not mine. I teach him Spanish so he naturally gravitated towards the Christian Hispanic kids and he knows that homosexual behavior is a sin. The other day my male neighbor wished him happy valentines day. He yelled at the guy that he does not swing that way and he will never say happy valentines day to a boy

It's like the Superbowl, no matter what team you bet on, Taylor Swift is destined to win it all in the end.
I hate that fucker so much for living my dream. Winning a superbowl and then celebrating by fucking Taylor swift. He is living my dream. She is the only female celebrity I simp for. Well, her and salma Hayek. There is just something about her that makes Mr want to choke the shit out of her. I suspect she would be into it.

1. Biden has done a good job on border security despite the right being in control of the narrative somehow.

2. Biden has started a war on Cancer which could bring radical life extension closer and possibly extend my life a few years.

3. If the show trials and banana Republic style court hearings continue it will embolden the right to go after their political enemies in a similar fashion when thy inevitably win .

4. Accelerationism.  The left winning will cause them to be start moving really fast into their plot to trans all kids, erase women from women sports, end the 2nd amendment and remove the bill of rights. The sooner they cause civilization to collapse the sooner we can start rebuilding it. I would rather still be around to see the collapse that we are heading for if they keep winning so I can help reverse it

5. Pro abortion policies can be implemented at a wider scale to kill off dyslexic people who would grow up to vote democrat anyway

@TheUnderdog
What about the US vs Denmark or Sweden?

All 3 are economic interventionists. If we see the pattern that the economic freedom index shows us, we can see countries more near the top, have better outcomes. Many Scandinavian countries are above the United States  on the index. All the countries have social programs.

What does this tell us? If the scale is a measure of how Laissez-Faire a country is and the least Laissez-Faire is at the bottom and most Laissez-Faire is at the top and countries like north korea and venezuala are the bottom one, then ye we should probably do what we can to become more free than the Scandinavian countries that o defeat us on the index, but we should go further. We should drop all social programs so we can drop all poverty as well and have a prosperous cou try.

Let's look at the effects of economic interventionism

Early 1900s affordable Healthcare. Then Roosevelt created salary caps and then employers got around the salary caps by offering health insurance.  This health insurance caused Americans to not realize the cost of health services due to being insulated from the costs. The result run away health care costs. So if we can see the root cause is government interventionism, it would be stupid to say. "Let's keep doing more of what caused the problem derp"

Early 1900s, mot food comes from independent businesses and local farmers. Some reports put it at about 80%. FDA is created and small business owners are destroyed and millions of people are turned into wage slaves. 80% of th food supply is brought to you by less than 10 corporations.

"Derp let's destroy the last remaining business owners by economic interventionism and make more starving wage slaves"

We can see the same thing happened with baking.  Prior to glass steagull nearly all banking was by mom and pop banks. Now nearly all of it is with evil billion dollar corporations.

You have all this evidence that economic interventionism can be linked to all bad economic outcomes, you have this evidence that per the economic freedom index that countries with less economic interventionism do better than countries with more economic interventionism.

Honestly it's time to stop believing double digit IQ takes like

"Derp we can solve homelessness by economic interventionism in making them all houses"

(Aka nationalizing houseownership)

Or "derp the best way to get everyone to get good Healthcare is from free Healthcare so they can be put on 3 year waiting lists for life saving surgeries, derp"

Just follow the evidence my man.

Yes; by letting poor people starve to death, therefore reducing the poverty rate. If this was true, then no place would have a welfare state
No by creating more prosperity. Take a look at th economic freedom index which measures how capitalist vs socialist a nation is. The most economic intervention in say North korea and venezuala have the most poverty, where as the more free market societies have a higher standard of living.

America isn't killing more hungry people than North korea, it's just more of a free market so less poverty exists.

What does this have to do with whether or not the welfare state saves people's lives?
The welfare state and economic interventionism caused it. Just ask yourself this. Was food more wholesome and delicious today with all the economic interventionism or I it when everyone got things from local farmers and grocers and there was almost no economic interventionism?

Ideally just so you can get a better philosophy. I would suggest you take a look at systems that work and compare them to systems that don't work and fund out the differences between the systems that work and the ones which don't.

Most Republicans are for some sort of welfare state, which is why trump has used Nikki Haley's attempts to weaken social security to turn more people against her. However let's be honest. A Laissez-Faire economy would almost entirely eradicate poverty. So people who actually support that would in fact harm significantly less people than the welfare state. Look at how families prior to the welfare state in the 50s easily fed their children and now these fucks are just too poor so feed them calorie dense low nutrient food and are nturitio ally starving children while making them fat with empty calories.

All I can say is that they are so lucky for the type of right-wing that exists in America. The right in America will use this as an opportunity to fix the system but had this been a different class of right wingers or even had this sort of banana republic happenings occurred to the left, they would no doubt see it as an excuse to do the same thing back 10 fold. Thank God for the libertarian influence on Republicans.

And if you want neither to happen, then you post a big message in the sky telling the Egypitians to free their slaves if you are god.
Yeah it's up to him how he deals with it.

God can say a similar message in the Sky for the Romans and that Christianity is real and should be the religion that should be followed.

He didn't do that because God doesn't exist.
I am just here to discuss whether the phrase is the bible agreeing with slavery not to defend whether it is true or not. I wouldn't mind a discussion on the truth of the Bible but it's not something I would be good at attacking or defending.

Reason.com contradicting it's self
Reason is libertarian they actually agree with the green party on a lot so I don't think they would reflexively just oppose what the green party is for. I also think the green party would not reflexively do that either. I think both the green and libertarian party are far more true to their principles than Republicans or democrats who do reflexively oppose stuff based on what the other party does. For example we saw that Trumps policies were at least half stolen from the democratic party platform and democrats reflexively opposed the policies they supported a year prior and only half of Republicans reflexively supported trumps policies that they opposed the prior year in 2015.

For example trump was looking to replace Obama care with basically the exact same thing but implement the 3 or 4 biggest gripes that democrats had and he would have probably called it trump care, but it got shut down by every single liberal and half of conservatives. Now I thought Obama care was bad whether it was trump just renaming it or when Obama named it, but those who too closely identify s democrat or republican literally just flipped their stance on obamacare the second trump planned on literally just passing a bill to abolish Obama care but really was just a renaming of it and fixing the 3 or 4 biggest gripes that democrats themselves had with it.

It just seems incongruity sometimes. Calling somebody an antivaxxer doesn't tell you anything about them .

Are they pro Vax and anti mandate?

Does it just mean they oppose the hundreds of vaccines rejected by the FDA each year?

Are they pro covid vaccine but anti MMR?

I am however judgemental of anyone claiming to be pro vaccine as technically that would mean they even support the thousands of harmful vaccines rejected by the FDA every year.

1. The bible is pro slavery.
2. The bible is pro obeying your master if you are a slave.

One is advice to your followers so they don't embarass you or perhaps a different motivation could be so they avoid getting too many beatings.

The others is thinking that slavery should be implemented.

I was an anarchist or close to it at one point and u would definitely advocate for my son to kiss a judges ass no matter how much I thought that courts and judges should be abolished.

I don't think you can really tell much by how a slave is advised to behave in a situation where the obly power he has is obedience to his master. At least a good slave may be able to become head slave and advocate for kinder treatment to other slaves. Even if he couldn't endure kinder treatment of others at least his life would be better by being obedient.

I might be remembering the wrong stoic. I can't verify because my internet is slow at the moment, but I think Seneca would give advise in a similar way.

1. The bible is pro slavery.
2. The bible is pro obeying your master if you are a slave.

How is claim 1 different from claim 2?

Because of the concern about how your believers represent you and the quality of their lives. If you want the Jews to be safe when enslaved by Egypt it is probably better to tell them to be the best slaves they can be, to incentivize the Egyptians not to genocide them.

Being pro slavery would be advocating for the institution of slavery. I think it would be similar to hating the institution of court as an anarchist but still realizing you should kiss the judges ass.

I am not going to claim the bible is anti-slavery only that giving a person a guide for how to act should they become enslaved is not the same as saying they should be enslaved. I don't see how it's much different from Jesus telling people to turn their cheek if they are bitch smacked. He isn't advocating for the romans to bitch slap his people. He is just telling his people to endure in an honorable way.

@Double_R
Trump spent months telling his supporters that the election (and by extension their voices) were being stolen from them. He then invited them to the capitol on January 6 the claiming it "will be wild". He then held the speech where he told them they have to "fight like hell or you're not going to have a country anymore". This BTW followed a speech by Giuliani saying "let's have trial by combat".
Cherry picked quotes clearly meant to be metaphorical. You fight through legal means not by physical combat. Also having the opinion that the election was stolen is not illegal. Hillary thought the 2016 election was stolen, and by the way saying the election was stolen was something Al Gore also said and it could mean any number of things. It's such a vague statement and at best the only thing you can glean from it is that the election is being called unfair. It's not inciting a riot to have that opinion or to say you have to fight, there are videos of Nancy pelosi saying to fight for your rights also. Nobody with a 3 digit IQ takes it as a call to actual violence,

he months long effort by Trump to convince his supporters that the country was being stolen from them and his clearly violent rhetoric on the 6th do not get cancelled out because Trump slipped in the words "peacefully and patrioticly" in one sentence of his speech. One of these things is clearly not like the others. And you know who understood that? His supporters.
Dumb interpretation of his words. I took it to mean that he didn't want his words to be misinterpreted as meaning to be violent. Do revolutions such as by Mao, or Hitler or Mussolini, did any of those guys add anything after their rhetoric to say "peacefully" . Is this something that violent revolutionaries do? Did Thomas Jefferson hedge his bets by saying "We need to go to war, but in a peaceful way with the British" ?

And then there's the 3 hours or so that Trump spent watching the riots on TV while taking no official action whatsoever to stop it. That demonstrates his intent very clearly.

The secret service would not have allowed him to wear a uniform and go down there to police the situation himself.

So instead of railing against us for "believing whatever CNN tells us", maybe it is you who needs to question where you are getting your information and talking points fr

Not from anyy news agency that has proven they are biased that is for sure. By the way, I am sure you are not a partisan hack so what footage released by tucker carlson that painted an alternate vision of that day did you think was the most compelling?

Why do you think a lot of the footage he released seemed to contradict CNNs narrative? I would assume an unbiased news agency wouldn't push a narrative so you would get a wide range of footage that could be interpreted any number of ways.

By the way what is with your attack on Trump anyway? People literally can't afford rent or groceries because America is ruled by Democrats now. Even if Trump is that dirty he is still a better alternative than people literally starving in the streets.

Omnipotence eh. Just can't believe everything we're told, can we?
I don't know where the belief God is omnipotent or in this case omniscient came from. It clearly wasn't a belief when Genesis was written. I don't even think it was really a thing in anything prior to when proverbs was written. I guess I would have to see the arguments rabbis had with each other to figure out how the belief in God's omniscience came about.

Religion is just what you get when people believe in magic, and to no great surprise, religious people are more likely to believe in fortune telling, ghosts, supernatural things...

Science is not like religion,

because in science, you believe in something after you get proof of it

When the people who trust science are telling you that men can get pregnant, than I think religion is likely the antidote. When you become an adult, feel free to chop your sons penis off because he seems a bit feminine. Trust the science. Meanwhile those of us who trust in God will continue to only cut off a small part of our penis instead of the entire thing.

This is one of the most annoying things to read whenever a president leaves office. Every single one pardons criminals on their way out the door and you have stupid partisans who are always

"Look at these criminals who did crimes"

It's tradition to pardon criminals and give them a second shot at life when you leave office. Every president does it, and if you ever found yourself in the office of presidency and you did not pardon people on your way out of office than you are probably a heartless piece of shit.

I finished your Dershowitz book. A bit repetitive but still interesting.
I talked to Derschowitz through e-mail. He is cool. I asked him some questions about Epstein after watching the Netflix documentary, this was also after I read his book length defense of himself , because it is just disrespectful to email somebody questions if those questions were answered in any sort of public writing they did.

He was bitching about the medias bias, and he hates anti-semites. I told him to reconsider his position on anti-semites given how the Jewish media is coming after him. He took my jab in good humour.

Anyway talking to him was fun and it probably biased me but he seems like a bulldog, and he seems fun and honorable.

Ponikshiy could do a good job. They would certainly keep the user base entertained.
I offered and have had a few coders already promise to donate their time to make sure the site keeps running. I haven't heard anything back. Maybe he was just spit balling or had a temporary fleeting feeling of being done. The only thing I would maybe change is the site name and at some point at a blog section of each users profile so that way people can feel like they are building something here.

I would keep the mods the same, as I think you guys do an incredible job and even when we disagree on thing I still think your heart and the rest of the mod's hearts are in the same place. The only modding abilit I would remove would maybe be David's because I don't quite trust him to not have some sort of moment where he wants to take a wrecking ball to things, and this is a result of my past interactions with him and him openly stating he is a member of antifa.

If I end up making a deal with him, than I probably won't even openly admit to owning the site and just operate under a pseudonym, and this is so my interactions with others remains the same. I don't want any percieved power to impact people in a way where they are less honest about either my short comings or the short comings of my arguments.

AI is worse at writing than humans. If you have it write a story vs you just writing one yourself, you will get an inferior story. A question about AI
-->
@sadolite
The same mentality can be applied to a typewriter. "I don't need no machine to make my writing more efficient"

Look if you are already a great writer, AI can't do much. However if you are mediocre or bad it can improve it dramatically. Let me rewrite this using AI to show you.

"If you're already a skilled writer, AI may seem unnecessary. However, for those of us who may find our writing skills at a more average or struggling level, AI can be a transformative tool for substantial improvement. Allow me to demonstrate this by rephrasing your statement using AI assistance

That's a bit impressive. The AI was more polite and used better wording. That is a rewrite let me now show you the advice the AI gave me to improve the writing if I didn't want it to rewrite it for me

Your initial response conveys the message effectively, but there are a few areas where you can enhance clarity and refine the expression. Here's a breakdown of the feedback and tips for improvement:
  1. Eliminate Double Negatives:
    • Original: "I don't need no machine..."
    • Revised: "I don't need a machine..."
Double negatives can sometimes make sentences less clear. Using a single negative can improve readability.
  2. Choose Clear Language:
    • Original: "Look if you are already a great writer..."
    • Revised: "If you're already a skilled writer..."
Clear and concise language contributes to better understanding. Using "If you're" instead of "Look if you are" improves flow.
  3. Refine Punctuation:
    • Original: "I don't need no machine to make my writing more efficient"
    • Revised: "I don't need a machine to make my writing more efficient."
Ensure proper punctuation at the end of sentences. This makes the statement more grammatically correct.
  4. Balance and Consistency:
    • Original: "However if you are mediocre or bad it can improve it dramatically."
    • Revised: "However, for those of us who may find our writing skills at a more average or struggling level, AI can be a transformative tool for substantial improvement."
Maintain a balance in sentence structure and ensure consistency in expression. The revised version offers a smoother transition and clarity.
  5. Politeness and Tone:
    • Original: "Let me rewrite this using AI to show you."
    • Revised: "Allow me to demonstrate this by rephrasing your statement using AI assistance."
Politeness and a more formal tone can enhance the overall professionalism of the response.
That's a small sample size it is working with and just GPT3 which is vastly inferior to GPT4. With a long sample size it can explain to me some problems like'

"sample A alienates a certain segment of the population so you lose the ability to persuade them if you keep that statement the way it is." Or if you struggle to make a complex statement simple you can ask the AI to explain it to a 5 year old in 5 different ways and then look for ways to improve what the AI has given you.
