Assuming the mod doesn't provide scum with fake claims, part of being a good scum-sided player is being able to create a believable fake claim. BP is one of the easiest roles to fake claim because to make it look believable, you waive the NK. 

You can make the counterpoint that it's not town confirmed if another protective role outs themselves to also be a reason why there was no NK. But that trade-off is hella scum-sided because you just got the protective role to out themselves for free. 

So long as an alt exists, there doesn't have to be a protective role. Hence, supa isn't town confirmed because he claimed BP. Since his play has been almost objectively scummy, I'm far more inclined to believe that the NK was waived, regardless of if Supa, specifically, waived it.

My question to you is if you don't consider his claim, would you say supa is more likely to be town or scum? If more likely to be scum, why are you believing his claim? 

Why does there have to be a protective role? And tbh I couldn't care less about his claim. His behavior has been super sketch, hence why I'm not inclined to believe his claim.

Assume GP isn't playing. Who should town be looking at and why? 

Plans that rely on the masons being confirmed with a new recruit need to understand that for that to work, WP needs to be explicitly clear today who he intends to recruit during the night. If he attempts to recruit scum and dies for it, every mason dies (which, admittedly, is not how I'm used to the role functioning, but oh well).

Idea I want feedback on:

Short of any other late results coming out, we lynch GP today as a utility lynch. Lynching GP tells us one of two things: either a) wp is the mason and can keep recruiting town and we win, or b) gp flips scum and we insta lynch wp the next day.

Thoughts?

The ability for mafia to recruit is extremely strong, like borderline break the balance of a game strong. There has to be something to counterbalance that out to make it fair. Masons are equally stupid.
