I like "knowing how things are". I was pretty happy as an atheist, but I guess ignorance is bliss.

Finally I am beginning to feel I have to me sort of world view, structure to feel about the world. It's been over a decade without one. Try it, it completely sucks not knowing anything. It's good to finally have some sort of thing to believe in.
I have mixed feelings about being some cell in a giant universal organism, but it is what it is.

I doubt that. How can things just come into existence? Everything has to have been there always. Everything is always changing. But never really going away.

I don't know any principles of creation. I know almost nothing. And it took me years to get the bits I got.
But now maybe I am beginning to get a framework for a worldview, which I have been lacking for a decade.

Why do you say that? It isn't obvious. It took me ten years to figure it out, and that's with plenty of help along the way.

I am starting to think prana is just electricity, and that is really what's alive, the energy in matter.

I had an epiphany, and now I kind of sort of understand what everyone is talking about when they talk about oneness.
But surprisingly it's a MATERIAL oneness, and now I'm not even sure if there is anything that is "spiritual" or "supernatural". Everything is connected, physically.

Probably because he couldn't think of a mechanism for the "start" of life.

I am not a Christian. (Not that I have anything against Christianity, I just havent decided what the true religion is yet.)

Darwinian evolution is false because it is impossible. It has nothing to do with the Bible.

I don't know about that. I was born an atheist. It wasn't until I was older that I even heard about god/gods.

All cultures claim creation by a god or gods.
Coincidence? I think not.

Yoga as taught is useless, it is just mimicking, and poorly, true natural yoga. Natural yoga just happens, it is a design of the body to facilitate an evolution in consciousness. It is like puberty for the mind.

I believe in one god
Because he talked to me and opened my consciousness
And because of his infinitely complex creation

think our theories are as correct as we can make them given our current understanding. I have confidence in the germ theory of medicine for example. If new information comes to light, even paradigm shifting information, I will have no choice but to adjust my beliefs in response. I cannot imagine what new information would completely invalidate the germ theory of medicine however given the derth of evidence supporting it.
I have a feeling our capability of ever getting enough information is incredibly small. If we evolve eventually into something else that is smarter, has a larger range of senses etc, then we would no longer be human anymore.

Well they were able to write and keep meticulous records.
They might have known, probably did. I did some research on this very topic a couple of years ago, and couldn't find anything relating to the Sumerians knowing about the precession. But that doesn't really mean anything. I haven't read all the texts, don't have enough information. So I am taking back what I said earlier.
Good , then you have a decent head start and maybe will come to realize the significance of all the astronomical references in the NT that surround the Christ that many Christians do not understand the significance of. Such as when the wise men/magi said: "“Where is He who has been born King of the Jews [not christians]? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.Matthew 2:2” They knew exactly what they were talking about, so did the one they were speaking to.
What is the star? The only "star in the East" I know of is sirius.

It's a thought, but physicists might disagree with you.
>> I'm sure most of them do. But not all.
On what evidence do you base your thoughts.
>>Halton Arp's work.
Nonetheless, do you also think that humanity will go on for ever?
>> I hope not, but I think our souls go on forever.
My current thoughts are, that this sequence of events that we find ourselves a part of, have happened before and will probably happen again.
>>Why?

I should have said, that isn't the way scientists work in the real world. Science is not the problem.

Unfortunately, it isn't how science works in the real world.

I don't know that the sumerians knew anything about it.

"What does chaos mean in this context?"
The chaos within the human race. Especially the riots. People don't even seem to know what they are rioting about.
I had an insight about it last night. I think what might be going on, is that the human race is subconsciously trying to balance the needs of the individual with the needs of the collective. Becoming a sort of hive mind. Or becoming consciously aware that we always have been a hive mind.

I think it might be both deterministic, and in a way, not. For example, evolution. There seems to be a pattern for "dogs". So dogs evolve, although there are many different types (foxes, wolves, marsupials) Maybe the universe tends towards certain things. I once read we live on the knifes edge between chaos and order. Maybe if there is too much structure, then there is stagnation and no growth. If too much free will, then chaos.

"The station of the fishes [Pisces]" was the house of the Lord Ea/Enki. The "one that followed, [Aquarius]" was the house of his son Marduk.
It appears then that when the lords first came down here to earth the zodiac was at the station of Pisces/fish marking their arrival as the beginning of time for them and I suppose us too
I don't think so. Sumer was created during Taurus. This was the beginning of civilization. almost exactly one full season of the precession. Strangly enough, Taurus is a fixed sign, as is Aquarius now.
