I am looking for information on Roman feet. I have looked online and can't find anything, just in a couple of books.
I am trying to find out why Flinders Petrie stated in his book, "Inductive Metrology" that the Roman foot was .97325 feet. There are several different Roman feet, but I can't find any confirmation that that is one of them.I am just trying to find out where his version of the Roman foot originated from.
I have not read Inductive Metrology, but have gotten this from two secondary sources.

No religion fits my beliefs. But I haven't studied all religions yet. I believe in a personal God based on personal experience. I also think the solar system was created,and God is a good candidate for the creator. I also believe there are probably other spiritual beings.

Faith
strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.
What is "spiritual apprehension"?

You are mean.You try to play it off as being funny. Maybe you don't know that.

Why do you spend every day at a website forum talking to abnormal people about something you don't believe in? I find THAT a bit abnormal.
Don't you have any other hobbies? You know, actual interests that keep you busy and fulfilled? Or do you just like jerking off to your own "funny" comments ?
You are a fucking clown

Ok, that makes sense.
I will attempt to use them in a way where my opponent can fact check (as in math).

Can we use books as sources in a debate? I am wondering, because i want to use several books I own as sources, but I know other people probably don't own them, and can't check. I can't find the same information online.

Except if there ARE spiritual laws, different from both ethical and natural laws. I would suggest there probably are spiritual laws, that govern us in spiritual form, and "natural " laws are a subset of those, that govern us in material form.
Spiritual laws would probably govern when/how/why we would want/need to be in material form. There are probably things we can't even imagine that goes on in spiritual form, when we are stuck in these material bodies.

I apologize if my phrase appeared to be antsy! It wasn't my intention. I only meant I am unsure if natural and spiritual law are different. Perhaps spiritual laws are in place to counteract the unfeeling and uncompromising natural laws. Which is pretty much what you said, and makes sense

I think the ancient Egyptians conformed to natural and spiritual laws, if indeed they are even different, through ritual,temple dimensions and alignments,music,art etc. I believe this is why they were able to keep their civilization going for three thousand or more years. I don't think their society was ideal, but I think it was kept in some semblance of civilized order for millenia. I am currently researching this theory, although I can't recall at the moment where I learned about it. For instance, their music and art had to legally conform to specific standards. I am sure their buildings and temples did as well. I am unable to confirm this idea at the moment, but I am finding it fascinating to research.

Mass shootings are just a symptom of human nature. Has nothing to do with guns. Humans kill each other, been doing it for 200,000 years or more.

@Athias
I've not said that it's irrelevant to you or anyone else. I said that it's irrelevant to me because it is. I don't concern myself with "how."
I'm not sure I understand you. What do you mean, you don't "concern" yourself with how?
Do you see God, hear God, feel God, or what? Why are you being evasive? It's pretty straightforward. There are very few means of perception.

@Athias
It is not irrelevant to me. But I understand you may not want to talk about it. That is unfortunate for me, as I am really interested in how other people perceive God, and their experiences.

He definitely said he perceives God. As do many.

Because I feel the presence of God.

@BrotherDThomas
Then how do you know which alleged God gave you these alleged spiritual experiences, and how do you differentiate these experiences from just being natural to human beings and not religious at all?
Obviously, I DON"T know "which God". I have never claimed to know anything about the nature of God, or even if God is one of the thousands of named Gods over the millennia. I also don't claim to know if there is a single God, or more than one. I don't have enough information.
Religious / spiritual experiences ARE natural to human beings. That's why we are able to have them.

Perhaps technically, but Gnostic has christian connotations that I don't want to be associated with

I am a theist of no particular faith or religion. I believe in a personal god, due to religious and spiritual experiences. I used to be an atheist materialist until I had my spiritual experiences.

I am sort of doing that already. I am on disability, and looking into making money from art. The only thing is is I kind of suck at drawing and painting,and I doubt anyone will buy anything of mine.

Do you think the world would be a better place of societies followed the laws of nature?and what if parts of those laws were numerical?for instance, what if we created our buildings in accordance to natural numeric harmonic laws?

Religion has nothing to do with fear of death. You need to do a little research.

@3RU7AL
I consider myself a theist, although sometimes I could technically be called an agnostic. If you asked me if I believed in God, my honest answer would be yes, it is my gut intuition, it is based on religious and spiritual experience. I believe in a personal God, who listens to us. I don't know the nature of God. I haven't figured it out.
Created:

@3RU7AL
There may not be a current "right" one. The right religion may not exist yet. Perhaps it existed sometime in the past. Perhaps no one can figure it out, because God is elusive.
