Please list and substantiate these "treasons."
- TREASON is "the crime of attacking a state authority to which one owes allegiance." By the general definition, Trump's treasons are too numerous to list or disute. Once you are president, even the little shit like claiming that his "authority is total" or claiming that Mexican born judges can't be impartial or misreporting the path of hurricane to cover up a minor verbal error is totally treason. Let's remember that it was that Last Good Republican, John McCain, who gave the Steele Dossier to the FBI, convinced that Trump was Putin's dog. Seven years later, some important elements of that Dossier have been substantiated, including the Russian hacking of the DNC and Trump's foreknowledge of that hacking, Cohen's and Manafort's roles as Russian in-betweens, and literally hundreds of secrets meetings between many of Trump and Putin's closest functionaries. At no time has Trump ever offered a plausible or consistent explanation for these hundreds of meetings with the enemy and every participant has lied about the meetings until presented with the evidence under oath.
- On the third day of Trump's presidency, the acting Attorney General had an emergency meeting with Trump to warn him that America's top spy, the National Security Advisor, was in fact a covert Russian agent. Trump fired her on the spot for telling him the truth and lied about his reasons for weeks but eventually Flynn confessed that he was taking at least hundreds of thousands dollars from Puitin and secretly meeting with Putin's men and lying and concealing these facts from the FBI. Trump later admitted that he knew that Flynn was getting paid by Putin for at least weeks before making America's top spy.
- For me, this is the end of Trump's plausible deniability. I have no doubt that if George Washington were to have witnessed these treasons within the Presidency, he would have hanged both Trump and Flynn on the spot and would have happily gone to prison for violating their rights to a free trial. Any Republican that stayed with Trump after he admittedthat he knowingly place a Russian spy at the heart of American Intelligence ( and then pardoned the bastard) does not deserve to be calle a Conservative or a Republican or a loyal American. Sorry, that just plain facts.
- The Mueller Report failed to discover the content or the nature of Trump's secret relationship with Putin but he established beyond any doubt that such a secret relationship existed and that Trump was willing to break any law to cover up the content and the nature of that secret relationship. Every one of the eleven Obstruction of Justice charges levelled by Mueller carries its own mandatory twenty year sentence and while Trump denies his own invented standard of collusion, he does not deny his participation in most of these thouroughly documented treasons.
- In spite of Trump's testimony, Trump knew that Russian Intelligence hacked the DNC and demonstrated his knowledge of the contents when only Russian Intelligence and Assange should have had that information.
- In spite of Trump's testimony, Trump knew Flynn was a Russian agent and was using Flynn to promise Putin that he would shut down Russian sanctions as quickly as possible.
- Flynn's attorney's recorded Trump's lawyers promising Flynn a pardon if he stayed quiet and promising destruction if Flynn talked. What Trump's secret Russian spy might have talked about remains a mystery since FLynn was pardoned and is now running for office in Sarasota, FL>
- When Trump found out that the FBI was investigating his Russian connections, Trump laid down a full court press on Sessions and Comey demanding that they quash the investigation and publicly attest that no such investigation ever existed. When Comey refused that illegal order to lie to the American public, Trump fired him.
- (The next day, Trump invited Russia's top spy into the Oval Office and had a secret meeting with hiim. To this day, no American has been permitted to know what Trump talked about in that meeting although we do know that he divulged Israeli intelligence about Russian spies and has never explained why he committed that bold act of treason.)
- Trump unconstituinally demanded on at least five occaisions that Session fire Mueller and take over the Russian investigation using Don McGahn and Corey Lewandowski as messsengers. Trump eventually fired all three for refusing to break the law.
- Trump ordered White House employees, including Hope Hicks, to lie under oath about the Russian meeting in Trump Tower.
- Trump promised Michael Cohen a presidential pardon if he didn't reveal what he knew about meetings with Russian. Although Cohen never did reveal those secrets, when he admitted to paying many women to keep quiet about their conduct with the President, the POTUS threatened Cohen's family.

A lot of good art is deliberately ambiguous, evoking multiple interpretations. In this way, many art works tell us more about the viewer than the artists. - Well, it is certainly perjorative but the intention was to characterize TWS as an old-fashioned bigot, not to start a new nickname. If other people started calling TWS Archie Bunker all the time, I would eventually have problem with that.
Personal attacks.
- Since we said to knock it off with all the irrelevant ad homs, TWS has made multiple claims that characterizations of him as bigoted, narrow-minded, racist, etc. are unsubstantiated and therefore out of bounds. Certainly, the mods never intended to restrict users from challenging racist fallacies in arguments as are found in most of what TWS posts. I used two specific, recent, objectively on point examples to substantiate the characterization as factual. What we don't want to see in debate is irrelevant name-calling. Undermining the OP's primary motivation (in this case, trolling by bigotry) should be fair game in any argument.
- As a mod, I certainly hope nobody is self-censoring any well-founded argument just because the opinionator might take offense.

- I refute aggressive or personal. I gave evidence of bigotry to undermine a bigoted argument. I debunked worthless sources (and made a mistake there, for which I have accepted responsibility). I put TWS's irrational fear-mongering into the QAnon strictly poltical context to which it belongs. Yes, I called TWS a bigot but I made a point of backing the claim. Yes I used a pop culture reference to enhance the the point and lighten some heavier claims but I think that's fair game stylistically as long as it is obviously part of the rhetoric and tone of the argument. I edited out some of the more inflammatory and less evidenced rhetoric such as "fattest fascist on the forums" and "Ku Klux Kunt" in light of our renewed efforts to a more mature tone.

Crazed partisan attacks is more QAnon's gig than Hollywood. I don't see anything to suggest that Hollywood is paying much attention to this movie, given that the 4chan and plural wives set ain't really Hollywood's target demographic.
I think the FBI would say the same thing as the CIA and DHS- we can't verify his claims. We know for sure that Ballard has taken full credit for some child rescues in which he has played no part and patently lied about. We know he claims to have worked for us and with us but we can't verifiy any of that, either.
This is the third movie Ballard has produced about this incident and what a great guy Ballard is. Ballard himself admits that the latest movie takes a lot of liberties- no he didn't really pose as a doctor and strike out into the Columbian jungle to rescue any girl, no he did not kill Columbian rebels in hand-to-hand combat as the movie portrays. Yes, he watched the Columbian police rescue some kids in Bogata and then made three movies giving himself increasingly larger credit for the event.
I think most critics worry about the lies and lack of open accounting in an ostensibly charitible organization. I think most critics wonder why the Trump Administration and police departments terminated thier relationships with Ballard suddenly without explanation. - Careful, competant readers will note that Foreign Policy magazine claims that the case of Nahel Merzouk is similar to the case of George Floyd in that the release of the video of the death sparked an instant, adverse, visceral reaction. The public reacted to eye-witnessing a murder.
- FP doesn't say so but the two events are also similar in that:
- Both victims were suspected of misdemeanors
- Neither victim was threatening anybody, although the police would pretend so
- Many alert and nearby witnesses agree and attest that the police were excessively violent, and
- In both cases, multiple police committed felony perjuries on their official police reports,
- strong evidence that the police themselves were aware of their felony conduct.
- In both cases, the police tried to get away with their lies until video went viral proving many cops were colluding to conceal a known murder.
This is another example of the media, even abroad, fanning the flames of racial/ethnic discord and division where criminals are flourishing in the poor areas of France are concerned.

- False. You are the only one claiming that nuclear war is imminent. Many sources are reporting fears that Russia might set off explosives in that area as it looks like they are about to lose control. We know that Russia has controlled that entire regions since March 4, 2022 and claims that it is soveriegn Russian territory. Russia has launched hundreds of artillary/missiles at the site in a effort to panic Ukrainians since the beginning of their invasion. The International nuclear regulatory agency went in last summer and made sure all the reactors were shut down- so a nuclear explosion is not the threat but there are lots of radioactive spent rods, etc. there. A big enough explosion could create a dirty bomb effect across a wide swath of the Ukrainian territory that the Ukrainian Army is poised to take back in the next few weeks. If they do, Ukriane will control water, power, and the only land bridge access to Crimea. Hence, Putin's motivation for trashing the whole region with another Chernobyl like event.

I agree with this decision. Colleges shouldn't be in the business of controlling admissions and creating heirarchical structures in the workforce. Good government should always prioritize free and excellent education for everybody. I would give everybody the same basic education to 18 then two years of public and/or military service. I would then break down higher education into annual assessment and continue to promote and pay for the educations of those who meet minimum annual standards. Those who fail a year can opt to try again at increased cost or choose to join the work force at their present level of education. This whole Ivy League structure where those who pay more get a high value degree with less effort is ridiculous. Every state and large city should have its own little MIT for engineers, its own little Harvard for lawyers, etc.

The Dept of Justice already respects this rule and generally holds off from any high profile charges or investigations or trials for about three months before the general election- shorter for state and local. This is a reasonable accomodation of your concerns. What is not reasonable is holding off on criminal investigations just because a candidate has declared he's running in election years down the road. Trump declared two years early precisely because he hoped it would forestall some of tghe many, many, many indictments coming at him from at least five or six jurisdictions. What we can't allow is obvious, braggart criminals like Trump objectively abusing election law to pervert the justice system. I think its fine if any ongoing trials, etc are postponed between the convention and the election if the candidate wins the nomination. Otherwise, we are just encouraging more criminals to run for office.

Personally, I would not invest a lot of money or energy in preventing prison suicide, with some rational, empathetic exceptions. It seems like a fairly appropriate and generally socially positive alternative to the suffering of long incarceration.

By 2008, they understood the mRNA structure sufficiently to theorize how a vaccine might be rapidly developed using a relatively limited set of genetic substitutions, even Governments and investors were so impressed by the possiblities that infrastructure began to anticipate the next SARS (as well as develop mRNA therapies in cancer, etc with some suprising success. Biontech and Moderna were purpose built mRNA labs becoming expert at such substitutions. So yes, in 2010, experts like Dr Hotez not only knew how science would develop a vaccine against the next SARS-like virus to emerge in humans, they could tell you which labs and which scientists were most likely to develop that vaccinne and estimated it would only take two or three years to develop. That is how well understood and pre-tested the COVID-19 vaccinne was with pretty good confidence years before they even knew the exact whens or hows that coronavirus would emerge.
