@Tradesecret
Yep...I respond spiritually to certain weather conditions.
In so much as they are able to create a favourable electro-chemical response in my Brain......Which is exactly what spirituality is.
As for your question....I would suggest that the functions of nature, including brain activity, are observable through science.
There is not an honest comparison to be made between nature with science.

American politics hey.....6 of one and half a dozen of the other.
What's new Mr E?

@fauxlaw
How about having a go at a bit of World unity...As there isn't anywhere else.
Or just eek out your existence in the backwoods with Mr E.
Call me an old liberal, you old isolationists.
Leaders of the free World, hey J.F.

Just insert "does not" into statements 1 to 5, and you have a perfectly feasible alternative.
So a GOD might or might not exist.....What's new?

And so you still avoid the issues I raised .
And as you are not perfectly moral, then why do you expect others to be perfectly moral?

I would suggest that if one considers evolutionary progression here on Earth....Then if intelligent life exists elsewhere, it is just as likely if not more so to be lizard like and cold blooded.
This would depend to a greater extent upon extinction events on other planets.

@Benjamin
You've completely avoided the issues that I set out.....Which is typical of a selective moralist.
All you have offered is emotive soundbites....... In an attempt to drown out all the other cries of anguish that you casually choose to overlook....
How do you like my emotive soundbite?
So why are you perfectly moral Ben?

For some people Muslim Jihadists are fellow human beings....Others think that it's right and good to bomb the fuck out of them.
Some people think that an embryo is an inconsequential blob of goo....Others think differently.
Selective and variable morality.......Deal with it.

@Benjamin
Human rights exist, when it suits....
And morality is a variable human concept.
And my two examples are one and the same system, and are self explanatory.....A selective, biased and variably moral system.
Namely, Human Society.

It's social evolution Mr E. and it won't stop.
If it scares you that much, best arm yourself, load up the 4 x 4 and run for the hills.....And don't forget the rocking chair.
And watch out for all those other gun toting, paranoid, moonshine junkies.
Oh...And do you play the banjo?....Might help.
Oh...And ditch the technology and social media....You know it gives you nightmares.
Oh...And if the lovely Mrs E ain't so keen....Just chain her to the stove and hide her shoes.
Regards......You Old Conservative.

From what I've reading, all theory....And from what I've been reading nothing proven.
And so show me an actual picture of a Black Hole.....I would genuinely be interested to see it.

The same selectively moral system that supports armed conflict as a means to an end.
Not to mention the morally biased system that is currently wholly reliant upon living matter as a source of nutrition.

To be fair...I've been reading Hawking lately....And it does seem that making things up, to prove made up things is the establishment norm.....I'm still not convinced that Black Holes exist.

The distraction that is the evolutionary uncertainty of gender, may or may not be an evolutionary uncertainty.
(And neither does it preclude nor incite any other hypothetical institution.)
And asexual reproduction may or may not be an evolutionary certainty.....And neither is human reproduction.
So enjoy the journey while you can, and extract gratification by all means possible.
And what the dictionary or text book says, is what was printed in the dictionary or textbook...And does not preclude nor incite gratification by all means possible.
Only the acquired ambitions of the individual can decide that.

What was the ordinary media?
Hand me down tales were the news of the day.
No more or no less susceptible to exaggeration and propaganda.
People would report what they wanted to report.
And others would believe what they wanted to believe.
Same old shit Eugene.
Fides est argumentum non.

It was an analogy, though the comparison is realistic.
People believing the rhetoric of the charismatic fuhrer, without consideration of the truth.
Which led to the extermination of 11 million people, in Europe.
Let's hope it's just 5 in Washington.
Created:

@ethang5
Only Trump said the election was rigged.
Though 78million drooling acolytes stood with their fists in the air shouting Sieg Heil Mein Fuhrer....Without even putting their diminutive brains into gear.
Fortunately 78 million is a minority.
And sensible people thought about it.
Just a friendly jibe Mr E.....I'm sure that you are thoughtful too......Just a plain old conservative teddy bear.

Mind is the definition of function
So does exist
Within that context.
And without light
There is all other sensation to convert.
To awareness.

@Polytheist-Witch
And I keep trying to tell you that you create your own spirituality inside your brain....Which in terms of science, is understanding human physiological function and processes in relation to excitement/stimulation.
There isn't really anything out there going Woooooooooo..........It's you creating Wooooooooo inside your brain.....Either because you want to, or because you are predisposed to.
And surviving death is a contradiction in terms.....One either dies or one survives.
Though resuscitation is a possibility within a certain timeframe and under certain conditions.

Eating oneself....Interesting concept.....Knowing when to stop would be the key.
Or did you mean eat each other?
Nonetheless all takes effort, unless you can get a home delivery.....But don't eat the delivery person.

New choices are the result of human evolution and the evolution of knowledge....You can't have one without the other.....Otherwise we would still be living in caves carrying clubs and shouting ugh.
Yep, knowledge begets experience and change.....And some people are wise and some people are not so.
And you are part of all this......And even if you stand still, everything around you is going to keep moving no matter how much you complain.
So if others want to mutilate themselves in the name of progress and choice...Then that's their wise move.
I would suggest that you would be wise just to ignore it......It's a really easy choice to make.
Created:

@sadolite
Choices and opportunities are distractions conjured up by marketeers after your cash, and can be ignored.....Life has certain necessities which cannot be ignored.
And there are two genders and 52 aberrations.....You know that and I know that, so don't dwell on it.
And right and wrong are concepts....And truth and lies are truth and lies.
And knowledge begets BS.....Its the inevitability of memory.

@sadolite
I'm assuming that I am older than you....And change used to bother me....And it will bother, unless one looks at everything in a wider evolutionary context.
And the "new normal" is today and will be tomorrow....And in a thousand years from now who knows.....People a thousand years ago, could never have imagined the things that you take for granted today.
And so children will evolve with change and some will eventually question change....And it will go on.
I've found that it's best to look for contentment, rather than challenge or attempt to keep up with change.
And my children are both in their thirties and are doing ok....Because they were taught to be level headed and not allowed to be overly influenced by social frippery.
And "Gender" issues, which globally affect virtually no one, are simply a headline grabber...I find it best to ignore such media hype.
Regards.

How long before "they" , who ever they are, ban the hideously offensive word whitey.....
Let's just refer to it as the W word in future please.
And I promise not to refer to Mr T as orangey ever again.
Or Humpty Dumpty as eggy.

How does that work, do you think?
Maybe the underlying frequencies vary very little.

@Athias
The ability to reason was low because of a lack of information....Which in respect of history and events is relative to time, as is everything.....Though time isn't a metric per se, only the observance of events and the calculation of duration therein evolves a metric.
So 950 relative to a different metric, rather than 950 relative to today's standard yearly metric......Approximately 950 lunar cycles perhaps.....Which by todays standard metric would make Noah 73ish......Not bad going for the day, and certainly more reasonable.

Well.....That was the pot calling the kettle black....Do you known that saying?
You should have taken the moral high ground and just ignored me.
Nonetheless, I don't do offended.
And It is actually very easy to create spirituality.....Provide a stimulus and the brain will respond.
And if you occasionally say silly things....Then occasionally you can expect sarcasm.

Is that near the Mystical Stadium?
Just down the road from the Metaphysical Circus?
It's actually very easy to create spirituality....All that you need is an old building, a tall tale and a gullible recipient.
