First Stop Distractions for students, for students phones can be a huge distraction during school time. They can get many notifications, new social media vids, and the new tiktok videos. Its no wonder why students find it hard too focus when they could just doom scroll the entire class. If we ban phones, we will make a more focused and determined learning environment where everyone can fully participate in class without any unecessary interuptions.
Talking about social interaction, another thing we should think about is how phones impact the way students connect with each other. When students are allowed to have phones at school, they often spend their break and lunchtime glued to their screens, missing out on the chance to actually talk and hang out face-to-face. If we took away phones, it might help students start talking more, build stronger relationships, and create a tighter sense of community among everyone.
Enhancing Safety and Security Last but not least, banning phones can also contribute to enhancing safety and security within the school premises. Without phones as a potential tool for bullying, cheating, or unauthorized communication, schools can better ensure the well-being of their students and maintain a secure learning environment.
So, in the end, banning phones during the school day isn’t about taking away students’ freedom. It’s really about creating a space where they can focus, connect face-to-face, and stay safe. By doing this, schools give students a better chance to get the most out of their education without all the distractions and downsides that come with so much phone use. Thanks for hearing us out!

I really wonder how will Mall argue this. Its a difficult debate for Con, but there is actually one flaw in the topic which can be used to argue opposite. I want to see if Mall will use argument I have in mind.

Thats a wide definition. Opens plenty of goalposts to be had, no specific goalpost set. I will consider accepting this after I check just how many goalposts will I lose if I accept.
"Should" in this debate means whether it is the right, appropriate, or best decision for schools to make. It's asking if banning phones during the school day is a good idea, considering the consequences, benefits, and values in it.
I mean, whats the definition of "should" here? If its "improves health" or "reduces distractions", then its not really possible to argue against.
