Description
This has been a controversial topic in the recent years, sparking outrage and furor. Can men have the right to abort their baby or not? We will see. In this debate, we discuss about this particular topic.
Round 1
Forfeited
Men should not have a say in an abortion. I think it's important to first specify what type of role you think that they should have before I refute it.
Round 2
Men should have the right to abort their unborn child inside the mother of the child (which could be his wife or girlfriend or any other relation) because:
1. Gender Equality. Currently, in most countries women have the right to abort their own unborn baby. This is very unfair for the males because men should have equal say in reproductive decisions.
2.Since currently no men have legal control over abortion, men do not have the choice to whether to abort the baby and opt out of parental responsibilities or keep the baby and forced to be a parent(especially in case of teenage pregnancies)
3.Men should not be forced into unwanted parenthood. Consent to sexual intercourse does not mean consent to parenthood. Without this right, men can be forced into unwanted parenthood leading to huge financial and emotional burdens (which in turn ruins their mental health especially during teenage years)
1.You're not even arguing for your own point, you say they should have equal say but the prompt says they should have the right over abortion. Additionally, gender equality shouldn't be pursued in this situation, the woman has a vastly more important role in childbirth and therefore should have a bigger say in if they want to give birth to the child seeing how they suffer tremendously during it.
2. This again ignores the opinion of the woman, the woman has to carry the baby for 9 months and has to go through immense pain of childbirth, the decision should be up to the woman, regardless if the man wants to opt out of being a parent. What would happen in a scenario where a teenage girl wants to abort but the guy says no? Why should she be forced to go through incredible pain while the husband does nothing. This could happen in a place where the man has the right of abortion.
In general since the woman carries the burden of childbirth they should decide whether they abort a baby or not.
Round 3
Forfeited
In my opinion I find that his argument is wrongly phrased, it really should be more that the man should have some sort of a say when it comes to abortion, instead of the full right of deciding it, as when saying that you’re taking away full right from the women to decide what she wants to do with her own body.
Removal of vote of pierree by barney is not acceptable, Barney saying vote is not well defined, It is totally understandable. As per voting policy forfeiture reduces conduct point, pierree mentioned it,anyone can accept this vote except brainless Barney, A cheapest moderator, brainless idiot not considered pierree's effort and time, but barney voted by just saying forfeiture.
My vote goes to con
Reason:
Both pro and con explained their views shortly in round 2, so i consider argument of pro and con as tie, neither of the above produced sources, due to forfeiture of pro from round 1 itself also pro forfeits 50% debate so in conduct wise con is won, Also con strongly argued against pro by saying women have major role in pregnancy. considering all these factors i vote for con.

>Reported Vote: pierree // Mod action: Removed
>Voting Policy: info.debateart.com/terms-of-service/voting-policy
>Points Awarded: 1 to con
>Reason for Decision: The Con was very solid with the arguments, the conduct and the Legibility and pro tried so hard to be able to beat him but pro's arguments weren't solid at all and lacks in civic common sense and respect. Case closed.
>Reason for Mod Action:
In essence, this vote was just too vague... This can be avoided in future by just commenting on the core contention (and the main counterpoint or the lack thereof), listing a single source you found important (if voting sources), saying what conduct violation distracted you (if voting conduct)... You need not write a thesis, but some minimal level of detail is required to verify knowledge of what you're grading.
This is very slightly short of borderline, so is closer to a mistake correction. Further, pro did forfeit much of the debate, so a vote based on that would not be judged.

I disagree <3
it's not to attack you but are you aware that all the things you wrote were misleading and unsubstantiated claims and also you forfeited two rounds even after the pro's claims, it lacks on conduct and legibility I'm sorry
