1. Christianity derives from 'Christian' a name given from the church in Greece as stated in Acts.

2. Religion = as said by once, 'a path to God'. Jesus came to heal the sick, give sight to the blind, and most importantly call the lost. He didn't come to abolish the law, but to fulfil it.
- What is Christianity? Study it's principles. Love one another, forgive those who heart u, serve the sick and those outcast by society. Those traditions don't just come out of the blue, they were taught and brought by the teachings of Jesus.

Christianity was early known as The Way, as a reference to how the teachings were to place on the narrow path 2 God. The current name aligns with that, as we not only go on a path 2 God, we follow Christ. So yes, Christianity was passed on from Christ himself(evident in Galatians 1:11-12 where Paul says how God passed on teachings to the apostles)
