Religion is a coping mechanism so short answer,no Christ partakes absolutely no role is this topic . He didn’t create and he is not the reason for religion.Lets think.. By coping mechanism which eventually becomes the saying “it’s not real, man made” I mean we cope with religion because humans for as long as 300,000 years of humans walking upon earth and beings with a higher IQ , those are the one that have always asked the question or wondered about death. EVERY.SINGLE.BEING . every religion is primarily based off death ,and our afterlife beliefs. Think about that. every single religion or half the population among religion has an afterlife theory. That’s our way to cope. Not only coping due to answers human minds are unable to comprehend due to our limitations, but coping from religion due to catastrophic event, terroristic times in life, slavery, Great Depression, etc etc. Also think about it,the bible literally contradicts itself. This verse says NEVER act upon hypothetically “ur inner thoughts” oh. This next verse goes against the previous verse . So it sounds like it was man made from unintelligent humans decades ago when power, and control, and when demands came . Religions are different based on when your from and how the tribe from your country or the popular acts among tribes or individuals . Countries all over the world are specifically forced to obey and worship cause of the laws and regulations of there homeland. Hypothetically let’s say this individual is apart of “certain religion “ and has never heard of the god you worship that promises or contradicts your afterlife. So all 3,999 religions or 9,999 religions are going to have different effects overtime to this individual. Or just there gods sayings and rituals. Hmm big question. So religion was never a what if ,it was never supposed to be in question. We are here right now because of the coping mechanism our old offspring created. No matter how “ridiculous “ this religion thing is too you, slavery without god ,is a ongoing control tactic that would later wipe out the entire planets source of reason”us as humans, animals, plants, everything living, and contributing among being apart or with the earth. So we wouldn’t be here without religion. We would either be a very very very small population of humans. I’m talking one country that’s it. In the whole world,or we’re sad ,depressed, drained, exhausted humans that fear death cause of no evidence or even anything controversial to the coping answer.

i can argue u.

1. Christianity derives from 'Christian' a name given from the church in Greece as stated in Acts.

2. Religion = as said by once, 'a path to God'. Jesus came to heal the sick, give sight to the blind, and most importantly call the lost. He didn't come to abolish the law, but to fulfil it.
- What is Christianity? Study it's principles. Love one another, forgive those who heart u, serve the sick and those outcast by society. Those traditions don't just come out of the blue, they were taught and brought by the teachings of Jesus.

Christianity was early known as The Way, as a reference to how the teachings were to place on the narrow path 2 God. The current name aligns with that, as we not only go on a path 2 God, we follow Christ. So yes, Christianity was passed on from Christ himself(evident in Galatians 1:11-12 where Paul says how God passed on teachings to the apostles)
