GG! Playing scum is hard. In retrospect, probably the ideal set of night actions for us after DP1 would have been for me to still rolecop Luna, but have WF block Barney/Vader instead and kill Earth/Wylted. That would have limited town confirmation as much as possible and left the PoE wide open.

I told on DM clearly my reads. They changed as I went along, if you noticed I took the hydra off my PoE. Casey being on my vote at the end having been online since did make me scumrwad casey I kept this secret as it was irrelevant since Luna 100% needed elimination first.

Based on the information we did have however, I think we chose fairly well. There was just so much we didn't know about what roles were out there. Rolecopping Luna turned out to be a really good choice tho.

Results are how you measure reads at least over a lot of games. I don't expect Warren Buffett to beat the market every day, but he needs to do it long term if he's a good investor.

I'd say this one wasn't townsided so much as it was very, very swingy. We didn't do so well when coming up with WF's claim (there were signs that all the town characters were pretty famous people early on, we really should have caught on to that), but I don't think we did too bad all things considered.

The fact Pie finds it funny and thinks I deserved it shows me he is nowhere near the skill of player he seems at other times.

If Pie was actually skilled at mafia he'd loathe what town did there. Regardless we had a deputy mod tlak rpeeatedly about masturbation and feedihg his semen to other users on a site 13yos can use and younger can access.

The entire forum games crowd is deeply degenerate here. Even at mafia itself they are seemingly unwell mentally and spiritually.

I agree with Savant that the Discord thing was kinda bs. You’re not supposed to use outside information. That defeats the purpose of the game. If WF had survived, scum had a great path to victory. I think for future games, everyone should be permanently show offline or idle to ensure these shenanigans don’t happen again.

I was disappointed in the claim WF came up with. There were so many free characters available like Susan B Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Jailkeeper was also a weak claim imo. Something inconsequential like an Ascetic or Visitor, or something like that would’ve probably been better.

I normally don’t like super swingy games, but Savant wanted this set up, and I tweaked it in a way where both sides had chances to win and it wouldn’t be crazy swingy/favor one side over the other. In hindsight, I wouldve made the Super Saint deactivate at MYLO/LYLO. RM throwing should’ve resulted in a scum win but for the Discord thing.

The guy didn't get rich from stock picks. Not sure why this asshole even lets that myth exist. What he did wasn't too dissimilar to what hedge fund managers do to make money.

He got paid to manage other people's money because he could beat the market. Part of that is buying stocks but I never implied that was all of it.

Honestly, this was probably my least bad scum game to date. Maybe one day I'll get a win... (Yes, I technically won in UPick, but I was carried by my partner and we still only won due to a mod error.)

Btw I just had written out a big response to your last post in the day phase but as I was posting it I guess the thread was locked. 

Long story short there was other reasons that whiteflame got lynched besides the discord activity thing (I don't think anyone including myself actually took that argument seriously in the first place). He also mentioned POE being a factor, combined with the role not making sense with a bodyguard, as well as too much anti town utility.

And the part about you being lynched, my response was basically that on paper this game seemed town sided a bit, but I don't think it was in actuality, because a lot of the town "confirmation" was via behavior, I should have been a pretty good mislynch target but luckily mikal ended up town reading me in dp2. Also most people who claim beloved princess or super saint are going to be scum read naturally, I think both roles were designed to be mislynch targets but luckily town out played that idea and were able to get around that. Basically I feel your frustration, and maybe it seemed unfair on paper, but I think town does deserve some credit for putting it together as well. I'll give most of said credit to mikal and then wylted for figuring out the solve in the end. 

If you and Pie both blame me and not Town voting me here, you dont understand mafia at all especially the IC claim and how unkillable for Town it should be.
