I like modern rock and pop for the most part, but I have a handful of rap, country, and jazz I enjoy. I love some instrumental songs, and my taste is somewhat varied (though the older songs only the most popular ones appeal to me in general). Any recommendations would be appreciated, and I do sometimes like a challenging song.

Hello all.
Here's a full blown description of myself.
As the profile picture and name suggests, I'm a fan of Juice Wrld. I am 15 and deeply interested by politics and psychology. My interest in politics first sparked when watching the viral Jordan Peterson vs Cathy Newman debate, where Cathy was quite literally stumped. However, my drive for debating is credited to the Ben Shapiro debating Cenk Uygur. Throughout the video, I was thinking, "how can one go onto mainstream media and so misinformed?" Time after time, Cenk was proven to by hypocritical and illogical. How could he not see this? I as a 15 year old clearly understood where he was going wrong, so why was this life long politician struggling to do the same?
Nevertheless, I was inspired and wanted a taste for debating myself. And as any 15 year old would, Instagram's SJW activist pages were the perfect starting point. Armed with my fake account, I began, and it was just like the videos. Point after point, person after person, they all went down like blades of grass. After a while, it was beginning to be to easy. So then came debate.org.
By the time I joined DDO, it was already a barren wasteland. Admittedly, there were still a few left wing stragglers of whom posed little issues to me, but as a whole, there was no challenge. While looking at the DDO forums, I found a mention of Debateart, which brings me here today (a few days ago).
This is my second account, (my first was hacked. Yes very generic) and I have had some people tell me I am quite good at debating. I view myself as a very completive debater who may have been slightly influenced by Milo Yiannopoulos. I'm sure you all understand what that means.

Peterson is more decent than Yiannopoulos, they aren't close at all in terms of intellect and debate capacity, the latter covers for his lack in skill by being cunning and good with rhetoric.
Both are misguided and assume that the optimal solution to any issue is always the simplest one.

I too would consider Peterson as more decent than Yiannopoulos, however, that doesn't make the latter bad.
As to your belief that they are mis guided, that would be incorrect. Peterson simply considers the simple solution, as people generally overlook the simple answer and disregard as, quite plainly, too simple.
I would say, as a debater, I have picked up on Petersons' thought process, Shapiros debating tactics and Yiannopoulos' mouth.

Welcome to the site. You can quote posts by clicking the button with double quotes on it. It's to the right of the Underline button. Then you can copy-paste the text you want to quote into the quote feature.

Hello! Welcome to the site! On the top of whatever text box you happen to be writing in, there should be a toolbar of sorts, if you look over to the 4th icon, it should be a pair of quotation marks, simply click that once, and type the quote in, or type a single letter, then copy whatever text you wish to quote.
As for open text writer, I do believe that to be the case, I would suggest copying it over from google docs, as it saves your progress and is easily copy-ble.

Yes. You have to use the word processor on the site to use the quote function, unless there's a workaround that I'm unaware of.

There is a preview function for debate arguments, but not for anything else.

Yes, that frequently happens when copy/pasting from a word processor. It's annoying. Hopefully that bug gets fixed at some point.

No. That didn't work. The error “Oneor more participants cannot be found” appeared. So I have removedit.
Edit : For postswith few, small quotes that should not be a problem, but I expect itto be cumbersome with many quotes in a post.

Apparently, there is a way to format for quoting in a word processor.
I stumbled upon a sentense that generates a quote box in the text field. Even merely pasting a single space character in the middle of the sentence generates the box.

It was apparently a fluke, as it hasn'thappened again.
Lacking formatting code for quotesturns out to be only a minor, but still significant, inconvenience.More annoying is the habit of the parser to forget spaces. If I don'tcorrect these omissions by editing the allready posted message, myposts look like this one. It even affects the quotes.

Hey everyone! I'm brand new to debate art, and I'm excited to see what I can learn. I live in my own little bubble with few differing opinions and that is super boring. I used to be part of DDO, and so I know a debate website is a great place to interact with people of all walks of life. I am 24 years old and live in the pacific northwest. I teach Latin, public speaking, and Koine Greek to earn money while I am in college. I don't know how much time I will have on the site, but I think this will be an enjoyable place to engage with different and new perspectives and ideas!
