You probably are not familiar with this definition of religion...

" a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith"

Is there a cause, principle, or system of beliefs you hold with ardor and faith?

But what happened that made you become a religious person? Your response did not seem to address that question.

There is no cause, principle, or system of beliefs I hold with ardor and faith.

Keeping that in mind, are you aware of this definition of faith?

"something that is believed especially with strong conviction"

Yes I am aware of that definition of faith.

Why don't you answer my question? What happened that made you become a religious person?

You have nothing to fear from me, I'm not going to use your response to attack you.

No, I am not dodging your question, I am leading you to my answer.

What I believe with strong conviction is The Supreme and Ultimate Reality. The Truth. I believe in God.

I could not tell you what lead me to become "religious", because I was religious before I even knew I was religious.

The point I am trying to make is that you yourself may be more religious than you are aware of.

So you didn't come to your beliefs through logic and reason.

Logic and reason is meaningless without The Truth. Without feuth, logic and reason amounts to little more than witchcraft

Someone who believes in gods claims that logic and reason are witchcraft. That is hilarious.
Shamen (witches) invented your god, you believe in witchcraft.
Can witches raise the dead?

Absolutely nothing you have said is accurate to what I believe. I'm sure you know that.

You are not capable of understanding what I'm saying, because for one, you think you already have knowledge, and for two you don't have enough charity to honestly consider what I'm saying.

So until you adopt a more teachable attitude, I will not be able to help you through your superstitions concerning what it is I am talking about.

Belief in gods is superstition, rejecting those beliefs is embracing reality.
You have nothing to teach but fearful superstition.

I don't think it's a stretch, everybody is born with some predisposition towards religion and religious thinking. You have to have the structure in place to give you the capability to be religious, if you didn't you wouldn't be able to understand it. It would be just like quantum mechanics.

Maybe I was religious when I was born. I could have been into momism.

So you can't say you are religious?

As I said, what I believe with strong conviction is The Supreme and Ultimate Reality. The Truth.
That is what I accept to be God, and that makes me a monotheist.

I'm not religious. The reason I'm not religious is that it's just not something that I am interested in.

Okay sorry, I'll answer your question directly.

Once I began to understand a little bit about how things work I became awestruck by the deeply profound nature of everything. That level of awe becomes even stronger the more I understand and that gives me a hunger to learn more. We have amassed so much information that I literally cannot run out of new things to learn even if I had a hundred lifetimes to learn it in.

This awe does not go away by accepting The Ultimate Reality as God, it only magnifies God's glory. The source of every truth and reality. This is the God of nature.

If you love The Truth, you love God, and it seems to me that you are awestruck by the reality of how deeply profound all of creation is. The source of all of that is God.

The God I speak of created everything.

That can't happen to me.

Once I understood a little bit about how things work in our universe, your God became very small and inconsequential in every respect.

By comparison with the grandeur of the universe that singular thought that you keep in your head is a very very small thing indeed.

There is nothing small about The Supreme and Ultimate Reality. It is not a thought in my head, it is what created the universe you think is so grand. God is even bigger than the universe.

You clearly don't know my God. If you did, you wouldn't say such things. Without God, there is no universe.

Gee, I don't know, you've only repeated that several hundred times if not more and it's still meaningless drivel.
