@Vaarka
Can we get color themes (like dark/light)?
That's interesting but to be honest, there are so many more important things that we need to implement first that I cannot even promise when we could find some spare time to add a new color theme.

@bsh1
I'd love for PMs to be more like they are on DDO. For example, being able to send multiple PMs to the same user and to title those PMs for different subject matters.
I imagine implementing something like that having what we have now is gonna be rather time consuming, I'd need to rewrite pretty much all the chat implementation so I also cannot promise when I could play with it but not any time soon I am afraid.

I recently talked to one of our members who had been temp banned. Apparently he thought DART had completely crashed, and had no idea he'd been banned. He said there was no notice or explanation, and was fairly miffed at such treatment. Is ban notice something that will be implemented in the moderation system release?

It'd be great to have a view counter on debates (like, "this debate has 10 views").

a temp ban will be up to the moderators I suppose and could be for any length of time depending on the context and previous behaviors.

I was hoping to get specifics so I could let the banned member know how much time's left on his ban.

if they’re still banned you should talk to the site owner as they’d be the only ones that know.

That being said that’s why I support the idea of a mod log to let people know how long they’re banned for and when they’re coming back. It’ll be a surprise to see someone banned and then be not banned a few months later

Well, If you are taking to Vagabond or Willis, then I'll try to give the guys the other chance, so most likely I'll unban them next weekend and see what happens.

A larger button for going straight to the last page of a thread would be njce. In essence its there functionally cause the last page is always an option. So this is more an aesthetic thing. "Next page" being on the bottom, with "last page" being the option at the top right, just seems more convenient. Plus, i use this mostly on mobile, and the button for going to the last page of a thread is small and hard to properly hit. End up clicking the wrong page option more often than not xD

I have to say though, mobile functionality is actually pretty good RN. Other than the above minor tweak, theres not anything serious that ive encountered thus far that needs addressal in terms of something not being functional. Well done 💯

Trashposting misc forum spam topics is a key way to do it.

I don't do that though, my strategy is one only I can do.

Add an "other" option for the category "sex" in the profile page. (Or add two more options than just "male" and "female"; specifically, "nonbinary" and "genderless.")

And add another category on the profile page, for "preferred pronoun," with the options "he," "she," and "they."

You lost me here. How can there be more than 2 sex types? Maybe you're mixing it up with sexual orientation or something?

Also I am not sure I understand the preferred pronoun, what's the purpose of it?

Not mixing up with sexual orientation, no. Lots of people don't identify as male or female -- there are often people who identify as something that doesn't fit with that gender binary.

DDO has multiple gender options as well. So does Facebook.

Also I am not sure I understand the preferred pronoun, what's the purpose of it?

So that you know what pronoun to call a person by. Again, in case someone isn't sure of their gender identity, etc., you could call them singular they; there could be some confusion, too, if, for instance, there's a trans person who hasn't transitioned yet.

Recommendation: create an option to make debates impossible to accept, and allow Instigators to ask interested people to comment if they're interested, as is common practice on DDO.

This would have two benefits:

(1) This allows Instigators to choose whom they give the debate to, which is useful to prevent debates from being accepted by trolls or people who're very likely to forfeit.

(2) This allows Instigators to start a debate, but take the required time to send the challenge over, viz. if I wanted to start a debate on a specific topic and see if people are interested, but I also don't have the time this week, and want to start the debate next week, this would give me the ability to advertise and still start the round next week.

I will research all those things regarding the genders, it's completely new to me and I need to understand better what is what.

I love both ideas, added to the list.

Any update on a "better arguments"-only option for judging?

I am afraid not yet, I was working on the admin panel for the mods, which I will announce in an hour, more or less :)

The forum posts number is not updated real time, it has a delay for 5 mins or so, if I remember correctly. It may have reverted if you or some mod deleted your post.

Ok, well if a mod is deleting my posts I'd sure as hell like to know which ones. Cause the delay shouldnt matter, I was at 1k+ posts last night.

So if deletion is going on, I'm calling shenanigans on any posts deleted not only meriting deletion, but that I'm not being notified any are being deleted.
