@David
I think we should start with one, and think about adding a second in a few months. That way we won't have to worry about two potentially conflicting styles learning to moderate at the same time.

I know we had a thread on moderators rights already, but given the current situation I think we are at the point we need to start thinking about having a dispute moderator that can deal with issues that go too far.
If Mike wants to appoint a mod, I suggest he does so quickly. Moderation can become a job in itself when there's a lot of people involved on the site, and given he's currently working on the code and features of the site, it's up to him but I think he should appoint a mod - sooner rather than later.
How do you think a moderator should opt to handle disputes?
I think the best option for a moderator right now is someone that knows to keep their hand steady and somewhat relaxed until people start getting to the point of excessive cursing in a belligerent manner, derailing threads not made to host drama, threats, doxxing, and targeted harassment. Ideally, we need someone who can stay impartial, but we should acknowledge that we are humans with emotions, so it would be better to have a moderator that can figure out if they made a mistake in a situation so they can adapt and remedy it.
What are your thoughts on having a moderator?

So what did Earth say to specifically make you vote him?

@David
I do think Earth is bussing but I'm more inclined to think he's bussing RM.

Oh well, I guess our only viable target is going to be RM.

How long ago did Daytona confirm into the game?

I mean, you can't just separate one part of his life from the rest. The combination of it all led to the memorializing.

@triangle.128k
I don't think you can separate his military service experience, though.

@RationalMadman
He flew across the United States shortly after surgery with a fresh scar above his eye to stand on the Senate floor with rapidly progressing brain cancer just to stand against his own party's President.
He's well-respected in the United States literally in part because he could not be told what to believe.

97 and 100.
I don't know what 97 was edited for. I know he's being deceptive over 100.

Wait, RM has edited more than once.
Lol this game is fucked.
Created:
Posted in:
I'm not going to deal with this anymore in the game thread. This just obfuscates the game with RM's bullshit.
I wonder why he's been banned from other mafia sites.

@RationalMadman
Given you've posted a whole defense of editing in mafia games in the past, forgive me for not taking this as adequate response.

I literally can't give a shit. I'm pretty sure he deleted an entire phrase. But he's both delusional and belligerent. I'm not going to argue this any further - he changed his post to make it look better for himself, and that's all I can leave it at.
Created:

@Earth
Because he's going to get modkilled for editing a post I saw the original of.
Created:

I don't even know what to do. I don't know how you can accuse me of lying when you edited a post to take something out. How about you post what you originally said so this game doesn't have to deal with a modkill? I think I'd be able to tell if I saw it again, but I can't just remember what I thought the abbreviations were. But your reply to me used to be longer.
Created:

@RationalMadman
It looked like you used two abbreviations that didn't make sense to me. I was going to ask what you meant, but now I cant.
Created:

@RationalMadman
See, that's the problem with editing. I can't go back to copy what you said.

@RationalMadman
Actually, it looked like you erased a couple words.

@RationalMadman
Not everything you disagree with is a lie. It just makes you sound delusional when it comes to the certainty of your opinions.
And I can't give a shit about EM meta. Their games are awful, because their players are awful.

If we no lynch so quickly we're almost guaranteed to lose.
The odds are so stacked against town with a dead cop before DP1 that I'd rather try to find scum than wait.

Today marks the complete death of an era of American conservatism, and likely the end of one of the most legendary runs of Senators from a seat in American history (Carl Hayden - Barry Goldwater - John McCain): just three Senators over the course of 89 years.
He was a mixed bag, and given the things he said close to death, he might have been the first to tell you that. But today is not a good day in American history. Likely the Republican in American politics with the most guts left until today, the country is worse off without him.

Israel has a disproportionate effect on American elections, but that doesn't mean anyone should downplay other actors.
Also, if you want to not sound like an anti-Semite, refer to Netanyahu's government as the State of Israel rather than The Jews.

Letting two townspeople die before we can get information for a lynch is a dumbass idea.

@RationalMadman
We have better odds of lynching scum than the doctor has of preventing a night kill. You're leaving the fate of the game more in the mafia's hands if you vtnl.

@RationalMadman
And go into tomorrow with barely anything to go on for a lynch?

@David
Meh. I don't think this is worth worrying about here. Not yet, at least.

Didn't people use DDO site activity against lurking players all the time? There's a line to be drawn on OGI but I don't think it's ever been drawn that hard around here.

@XLAV
I'm always meh.
I don't see the point in waiting to lynch, is my general point. And anyone pushing for a no-lynch this early, with a cop dead, would give us absolutely nothing to go on tomorrow if the doctor doesn't pick the right person.
Created:

@David
If there's a mislynch, the town can still win if the doctor targets the right player.
I'm not sure if I like no lynching with a dead cop too. If a vanilla died, that's another story.

Re: Manafort: There are probably other charges Mueller is holding in his pocket. This trial was purely to get him on some white collar crimes to get him jail time and a criminal record. This is kind of an anti-pardon measure, because if Trump pardons him in the next week he'll probably have to do it again a year from now.
The Cohen charge is small beans. Nobody is getting impeached over an illegal campaign finance issue. But I'll probably guess that this will just be used as one of several charges thrown at Trump (and maybe Pence, since this was campaign season) when the time comes - presumably just to make his life more difficult trying to defend himself from all of them.

@Analgesic.Spectre
It's funny. I find myself to have a disconnect from traditional social ideals of masculinity, but that means nothing to you. Because you've shown already that you can't take anything for what it is, and you can't understand depth without all of it being spelled out. Instead you call a short maxim hollow, when it is anything but.
And I would guess that is why you can't understand democratic movements. Humans are highly driven by having a sense of belonging, and having democracy feeds their sense of belonging. That attachment to society improves when democracy takes care of them, and that is just simple social contract theory. Without that feedback, especially in a society where it already has existed, the state has no integrity in its assertion of authority over the individual. At that point, anarchy is more legitimate than governance.

@Analgesic.Spectre
I offered a maxim, and you refuse to listen. Given that, I doubt you would listen to the substance behind it.
