What is wrong with a simple solution to some things?

@dustryder
There are 2 types of mentally ill people; the kind that want to commit homicide and the kind that don't. I have a mental illness; Asperger syndrome. I should be allowed to have any gun I want since I don't want to commit homicide. Adam Lanza and similar people shouldn't have a gun. The background checks that exist need to prevent future Adam Lanzas from getting a gun but should allow people like me, people that don't want to murder to get a gun.

There would be fast food joints, waiters, and cashiers but they would be employed largely by teenagers and the teenagers don't need as much money as an adult working in those jobs. Teenagers would be fine with working for less since they don't have to pay for as much.So in your opinion an ideal society would have no fast food joints, no waiters/waitresses at restaurants, no sales associates/cashier's at stores, etc. because those jobs tend to be at or near the minimum wage and your solution to poverty is "lul just don't do those jobs do something else instead lul lul" rather than raising the minimum wage.

You shouldn't call anyone on the left fake news just because they disagree with you on stuff. Also, we get it, the pink haired antifa member is not the smartest in the room. However, what I noticed is the right generally roasts strawmans, like some crazy femenist, whereas people like Kyle Kullunski roast the actual right. I think the right needs to ignore the femenists, and focus on the actual liberals like Kyle Kullunski an David Pakman. Both of them support free speech.

How did mentally ill people get guns then to do homicide?Heller decision explicitly states that the federal laws that prevent felons and mentally ill from bearing arms are permissible despite the 2nd amendment.
Created:
I think the 2nd amendment should be modified from it's current state to "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed unless you are significantly bipolar or have committed a felony". Mass shootings account for a small portion of homicides, but the overall homicide rate decreases when states ban AK 15s and AK 47s considerably. I think the active ingredient in the ban was taking guns away from bipolar people, who I think do a lot of homicides, although I"m not sure. I don't want to take guns away from the mentally ill because that would mean I would have to forfeit my guns due to my autism. But I think the 2nd amendment needs to be edited.

My parents don't want me debating anymore due to school. I also have noticed that I don't have the energy to post debates anymore. We can figure out if abolishing the minimum wage is a good idea on this thread. It's easier on both of us.

A good way that I think people could sign on in terms of eliminating poverty is to buy the stuff of the locals. Africa has lots of resources. So does India. Most of the people on this site are against invasion, but trading with the regions would also help eliminate poverty. We can get sweet deals which give the west more natural resources to make the west better. We can only trade with countries which accept human rights to encourage other countries to accept them as well.

The US spends over $1 Billion on South Korea every year. We have been helping them for about 70 years. We need to either get something in return for that money, or cease the funding. I think them giving us their sovereignty is a good way to deter aggression. I don't want to fund an ally that gives us nothing in return.
Alec I think you're the perfect example of right wing media having misleading headlines and brainwashing you.
The right wants to increase military presence. I think it's too expensive and we have a debt to focus on.

We can annex South Korea without firing a single shot. Just threaten to take away military spending. South Korea's military spending is $42 billion, about 1/5 that of Chinas. Meaning that if the US does this, South Korea will either become part of the US or part of NK. I think the South Koreans would pick the US over NK.

I now think it's 9 to 10 billion(https://www.livescience.com/16493-people-planet-earth-support.html). I guess I read somewhere that it was 2.5 billion.

South Koreans helped us in Vietnam, and in the War on Terror.
The Vietnam war was a failure. The War on Terror has generated more terror then it was designed to prevent. ISIS killed 10,000 people. America killed 10,000 people. Normally I don't like siding with the left, but wars kill many innocents and they cost a lot of money that could be used to fix our debt.
They are a great ally, and we should be sending our best there.
What do we get from helping out South Korea?

This is because TRUE Christians like myself accept that the Bible truly contradicts itself many times over. GET IT?
If the bible contradicts it's self, then why do you follow it?

Alex always wants to take over every place he hates the people.
When did I say that?
Guess we can Koreans to your list of those you think you are better than.
When did I say that? I posted my reasons above.

I would say yes for the following reasons:
1: It reduces the amount of military spending the US has to do to South Korea because North Korea and China would be too scared to fight against a US territory. The US already spends a lot on South Korea. If South Korea were made part of the US, it would scare North Korea to not attack South Korea.
2: It increases the US GDP, which would be helpful in staying ahead of China.
3: South Korea would probably vote GOP due to their bad experiences with communism. To make it fair to the democrats, every US territory would become a state along with part of South Korea.
4: It doesn't have to be militarily obtained. The US can simply tell South Korea to join the US or the US would cease all military funding to the place. South Korea then would join the US in order to keep their military funding. The US should stop giving foreign aid to places where we get nothing in return.
Thoughts?

Why should there be free movement over the Northern Border and not over the Southern Border. Just sounds like racism to me.
The southern border has a lower GDP per capita, so the US and Canada would have to pay big sums to Mexico. It's not racist. Greenland is Inuit majority and they would have open borders with the US under the NAU. It's not racist.
And Greenland can trade with anyone if they've got desirable commodities to sell. The Canadians perhaps.
They got resources that their economy can't exploit because they are too poor. American and Canadian influence can make both Greenland and the other places richer.

It's an indefinite estimate. Humans can only maintain our style of living for about 80 years until we run out of resources. I think the limiting recourse is energy. How is our carrying capacity 2.5 billion when we are able to carry way more than that?

Isn't the U.S.A. a N.A.U?And why would a nice country like Canada even consider such retrograde move?
So they can freely move to the U.S. They can still keep their constitution; they don't have to adopt ours.
And if Greenland were to gain full independence from Denmark, why would they suddenly think that it would be a good idea to give all their territory and natural resources away to the U.S.A?
They need trade. The US offers more trade then Denmark.
And furthermore the U.S. needs hard working Mexicans. Who's going to do all the donkey work otherwise?
The Mexicans can come, but they need to come legally. The process can be easier, but they still should come legally.

There are 7.5 billion humans on earth, and our carrying capacity is only 2.5 billion humans. These numbers need to match if we want to sustain ourselves. There are 2 ways to do this; to decrease the population or to increase the carrying capacity. I don't want to decrease the population. Any ideas on how to increase the carrying capacity?

If you ban guns, people would get them illegally and commit mass shootings against people who can't defend themselves. Besides, guns provide protection against a potentially tyrannical government.

There are tens of millions of jobs that don't require college degrees that poor people can do and receive at least $15 an hour through work that deserves it. Until all of the good jobs get used that don't require college, there are options for poor people.First, there are a finite number of jobs--some people will always have to be in minimum wage jobs.
Second, if you have a job, you shouldn't be forced to live in poverty.
No one should be forced to live in poverty, but getting out of poverty is something that has to be earned in most cases by having not just any job, but one that is productive enough to society. If you spend 80 hours a week working on a crossward puzzle, is it a hard "job"? Yes. Do you deserve to be paid for it? No, because it isin't productive to society. If you have a job that isin't very productive, you shouldn't get a very high wage, especially since there are many productive alternative jobs for poor people to do that pay very well. Get all of the good jobs without college degrees to be used, and then from there, we could see if there are any more poor people that need a job.

@bsh1
Why do you support a minimum wage? Poor people can receive higher wages, but this ought to be earned through better, more productive jobs then working at McDonalds.
