I've read up to post #210 and I actually kind of don't buy BK's justification for protecting me. I made 4 posts in DP1 and voted the mislynch wagon, no reason I'd be scum's target. I'm assuming BK doesn't know who I am, and his justification "It was shot in the dark" makes no sense. The only reason that makes sense he'd say he protected me is because he saw my post that said I should have been targeted for the night kill.

Alright not to toot my own horn here but the scum team is obviously made up of newbie players, because if they were good they would have killed me instead of whiteflame.

The only way I would know Wylted's alignment is if I was scum, otherwise I would be town.

for what its worth I think scum reading literally almost everyone is a town move. I love people who are down to lynch just about anyone.

That's not changing the definition of popular, nothing about popular says it's town or scum. My argument is exactly semantics, because the meaning of words matter. And as I've pointed out it is widely accepted to the point of being definitive, that masons are confirmed town. Neighbors' function is outside communication, masons function is communication IN ADDITION to alignment confirmation. Nothing here detracts from behavioural analysis by using the correct term "neighbor" instead of "mason".

Confusion on definitions of mafia terms has caused problems before with the whole "rolemad" thing. It doesn't make the players happy and when the plays bring it up it doesn't make the mods happy. Aligning on the definition of words is good for the game. It is only natural for mods to use the established definitions. Do you think it would be good to use the generally accepted terms neighbor/masons? or at least preemptively clarify if your definition differs significantly from generally accepted definitions?

You've had popular scum before and I don't have a problem with that because popular isn't inherently town. Mason is inherently town by the definition of the role. Neighbors/neighborizers are not alignment indicative, so when you explicitly use the term "mason" in our PM chat title, it is alignment indicative. If you google "mason mafia role" all 5 of the top links explicitly say masons are town, there's no room to argue against this definition. This is exactly the same as having a scum innocent child, or a town godfather. I don't know why you would think otherwise. Non-town masons is mod deception and therefor bastard. It's in the interest of the game to have standard definitions, and it's very established that masons are confirmed town.

Being town is built in to the role mason. The none aff confirmed version is called neighborizer.

Earth was #6, the first vote count Lunatic messed up and didnt count Chris's self vote, u can see on the last vote Chris was at 7/5, Elm being the 7th.

There's no reason for mafia to try to kill Elm, he's obv mislynch target. So the most likely scenario is he was blocked.

We don't have a town tracker, JK, or RB contradicting him yet, so his role may be legit, but self-voyeur isn't alignment indicative anyway.
