Well according to what I read, she was captured and intermittently tortured for days by the Gestapo, refused to betray the name of any child or comrade, was literally on the way to the firing squad to be executed before an outside friend managed to bribe a guard, and when she got out from this harrowing experience she went back to running the child rescue network again. I don't really think she's any less badass than the ladies on your list.
But still my first choice was Boudica. The answer Buddamoose STOLE FROM ME, or at least that will be true once I build this time machine, go back and say it first. Heh. No one will see it coming.

I see no reason why not, unless some parents started bitching about it and turned it into a liability headache for the school. So long as the teacher is a qualified carrier, it could even avert disaster. But I think many teachers are not going to want a gun brought into their classroom, a choice I would also have to respect.

The benefit of religious forum culture was that they rarely ventured outside it. I found it hilarious that as the site deteriorated they were all oblivious as to why it was happening when literally the entirety of the rest of the site had been well aware of the reasons for years.

For future reference though, I try to be relaxed and tolerant about free speech, up to and including controversy and wild eccentricity. One other thing i just noticed, when you get a notification of a reply to your post or mention.. it doesn't take you to the new post when you click on it. That would make it easier to find the comment that replied to you.
Mike, in the notifications list, it shows a time stamp in addition to the thread title you were mentioned in. Maybe you could make that time stamp a link to the new post, just like in the forum list?

Don't know how you're gonna debate people if you expect them to not talk about how they see things, but I wasn't arguing for fascism to be excluded. I'd be quite fine with sharing space with it in the dropdown options, which is why I said "maybe you could talk him into it" twice. The sad thing is I might just let it stay closed. I'll always be grateful to DDO for all the good times and good friends I made. Its recent troubles do not negate its history. But I think DDO is in my rearview mirror now.

Bah, you're spamming to get your post counts up? That's a boring and uneventful way to do it. You need to start an absorbing conversation that has entertainment value and makes the time fly by. You'll be firing off posts like a Gatling gun without even noticing.
Although I don't really understand why you guys care about breaking the record. Post counts don't matter to me except when they help in identifying veteran members or suspicious trolls.

Some of the callus was the same color as his skin, and when he started cutting into that I was really expecting blood. That callus had like four different colors to it.
Actually, the fungus-y stuff, I don't even know if that was callus. Maybe it was rot growing inside the callus. Although I have never heard of that. How could he walk around with that in there.

That poor pooch was definitely the worst. I've never even heard of "mangoworm".
It was kind of alarming watching the guy in your video saw through his foot like that. The grossest part was when he cuts a chunk of the heel away and there's some kind of brown fungus-y stuff under there. What the heck was that.

Your account is closed too? I have a lot of saved work on DDO i want to still have access to... i hope they get it back up again. I've been loyal to that site so it will make me pretty mad if they don't get our accounts working again.
A ton of people's accounts were closed. Even airmax's. Some were overlooked but it's not yet clear why.
If there's any thread that contained anything important to you, something you want to save, I'd get to it quick and use whatever method you prefer to preserve it. There's no guarantee the site is going to stay up. It could be shut down completely and indefinitely.

Yeah I'm totally a survival tv vet. 😎 While I like Matt Graham in general, I just didn't think he brought to the show what Cody did. Cody was this perfect blend of eccentricity, intelligence, and skill. And he was funny. His insistence that he go barefoot in ANY climate always kept things... interesting. (For the record I thought he was crazy to do it, at least in some climates/terrain.)
Joe Teti I had mixed feelings about. Hey, did you ever see the episode where him and Matt have to climb like a hundred feet out of this really deep sinkhole, and it's exhausting and backbreaking, but once they get to the top Matt says they lost the glasses lens they were gonna make a fire with? And Joe freaks out and insists on going back down to find it even though Matt says now that they're on the surface he can make a fire no problem?

Where did he brag about that? Was it the stickied religion thread? I'd love to have a look at his post but I'm sure it's buried now. The last thing I saw in there was him appealing to the spammers as fellow Hindus, urging them to cease their attacks, and then afterward, when the spam temporarily eased up a little and real threads started to gain a bit of traction again, he took credit for saving the site. 🙄
But the rest of what you said there is not uncompelling. Maybe I shouldn't have been so quick to think he's too stupid to be part of a plot. If he was just their way in somehow, he doesn't need to be smart. Though I'm not sure the India connection is necessarily damning. India is an IT beehive of spammers and scammers.
I'm surprised they haven't completely taken the site down for the time being. I'm debating whether to create a new account so I can make a few posts there. My old one is still closed.

What I mean by "perfectly" is the same as what I told you before, that there is no cap on what we can learn, know or experience other than what limitations we place on those things. What you may not know now, you may acquire later. The very fundamental things of life and our nature are things that are not out of reach.....you have conscious awareness, you have a mind and a brain, how are you NOT designed perfectly to know whatever it is you wish to understand? what other tool would you need?

Since I believe that all I am is my mind -- my brain -- then I also believe that there are limits to what I can learn and know. My brain just isn't capable of limitless knowledge. That's why it inevitably forgets things. That's why there are things it simply cannot comprehend.

Oh I see. Yeah hitting the Reply button doesn't quote anything or give anyone any idea which post you're responding to. Next time you could hit the quote button on your post creator and copy and paste the text manually. It's not ideal but it works for now.
