Hi RM,
I'm still here, I've just been super suepr swamped with working 10-hour shifts and juggling my summer classses. On my days off, I just feel like collapsing. I've been trying to do some debates here, but just can't find the time to get my arguments in on time, hence the reason I've been pushing to do more live debates.

In light of recent events, and in light of the historical connotations of "lynch", MafiaUniverse and MafiaScum have replaced the word "lynch" in their games. MafiaScum went even further than MU by banning moderators from using that word, but not punishing players. The moderation team does not moderate mafia games and we make no plans to enforce such a chance, I want to open it to discussion on using a different word such as "eliminate."

Moderator: Joint Decision
After reviewing their history, the moderation team has decided that Singularity, AKA Wylted, will be indefinitely banned from the site. This is an unusual course of action for the moderation team to take. A few key points that went in to our decision includes:
- Repeatedly glorifying rape and sexual assault;
- Repeatedly glorifying hate groups
- Repeatedly glorifying sexual abuse towards minors, and most disturbingly,
- Portraying himself as a 13-year-old-girl towards a 14-year-old boy; and
- Multi-accounting to circumvent his ban.
Let me make this clear: The moderation team will not tolerate any glorification of Nazis, rape, pedophilia, and sexual assault.

1. How to avoid overusing semantics in debates?
Hash out the definitions in the description so that there's no confusion as to what we're debating.
2. Overall, what debate topics are the most popular, and what are the least popular?
It's hard to answer most popular/least popular, but on DDO/DART, I've noticed the following topics debated ad nauseam:
- God's existence
- Abortion
- Gay marriage (prior to 2015)
- Other religious topics
What is the dominant view within this site?

An argument is good if it utilizes strong logic and evidence. Always connect the evidence to the resolution.

Often times the purpose of waiving a debate round is for just that - to ensure both sides have equal time. See, for example, this debate. The instigator was con and the contender (me) was pro. The structure was:
R1. Con waives; Pro's Case
R2. Con's Case; Pro generic Rebuttal
R3. Con generic Rebuttal; Pro generic Rebuttal
R4. Con generic Rebuttal; Pro generic Rebuttal and Summary
R5. Con generic Rebuttal and Summary; Pro waives
The obvious point of the waives is to give equal time to the sides.
