Good question :/

I am afraid it's not a bug, we simply require the person to be at least 12 years old, which is not the case for a person both in 2012.
Regarding the issues, they should probably go to the `Platform development` thread, I think currently it's the best place for that.

Hi, make sure that you have them enabled in the office space and if they are, then it's probably the limitation that we have that makes sure that emails don't get sent more often that once in 5 mins, I think.

If we auto-lossed forfeits, concessions, and banned debaters then voters would have to focus non-automatic decisions if they wanted increased voting stats or rep
I will probably work on those once I am done with the stuff that I'm working on now. But we'll need to discuss them first because there can be some edge cases or objections.

Hi, thanks, I already know about this issue and I try to reproduce it locally but it's not easy. I will try to fix it as soon as I figure out why it happens.

It looks interesting, thanks! I think by the time I start working on it, I will create a separate forum topic about it and we'll discuss together how it should work :)

It's my screw up, apparently my regex requires the topic to have at least one part consisting of least 5 alphabetic characters :/

@Stephen
Actually you found a minor bug. I will try to fix it as soon as possible.
`- No one seen God` is a perfectly fine topic from the technical point of view so it should be accepted.

I messed up the regex :/

This format check was a response to the other problem that we had when people created basically topics with empty topics. Now it requires you to provide at least 3 characters for a topic, where a character is a-z or A-Z.

I can think of something better but it would take time to implement and especially design, because I am pathetic at designing stuff. The general idea is similar but it's not exactly copy pasted, we have lots of things that are either built on top of what DDO has or are simply different. But frankly, that's what most people do, you just take some idea and improve it. PMs are possibly worse, yes, but only at some aspects and that's because I wanted eventually to use a paid solution ( say Twilio ) for the chat system that provides everything we could possibly need, group chats, image attachments and etc but I can't afford it because, well, I can't even cover my hosting expenses, leave alone the paid chat systems or phone number verifications to prevent multi accounts and stuff.Why does it have to be different if you can't think of anything better? Most of this sites format is copy-pasted from DDO and the parts that are different are sometimes worse (such as the PMs). If some way of doing things works why not stick with it?
Anyway, I have been working on another feature, it's not exactly something exciting but it's new and it could help to kill time once in a while. After I finish it, I will have a cycle of bug fixes and small improvements and then I will get back to this big issues thingie, so we'll see what can be done :)

This idea has been brought up quite a few times but the problem here is implementing it in a way that would not be identical to what they have on DDO. It has to be something different, more interesting and better looking, which is not that easy to come up with.

This one is easy, will try to add right after I release the new feature :)

Yeah, what RM said. Internet Explorer is a joke, half of the things don't work there and frankly, I don't even bother to support it.
Apart from the options that RM mentioned, also you can install Brave browser, which is also amazing.

Oh alrighty, thanks. I know it's a half baked solution but I wanted to share because it's something that we already have and it could be useful in some circumstances.

I remember somebody mentioned that we need to have a way to save drafts for debate arguments and recently I discovered that we already kinda have it. Why kinda? Well, how it works now is that if you create a new debate argument and go to its preview, the text of the argument will be saved, so if you close the tab on the preview and start the process from the beginning, your text will be there when you open the form for the new argument. The gotcha here is that it saves the text only for the specific argument, i.e. the text gets deleted if the argument gets forfeited.

As long as people are having fun here, it's fine by me, that's what those medals were created for. But I am not a mod, that's up to Virt.

How about when you guys find an issue like that next time, you just let me know so that I could fix it? I am here specifically for that purpose.

Yeah, I do have monitoring setup, both for the server and client sides ( it's probably one of the biggest expenses that I have for this site ) but sometimes it's still tricky. I have some ideas though what could have caused the issue and I will try to fix it tomorrow.

Ugh for God's sake...
I have already fixed it though, I will push it tomorrow morning.
Thanks for letting me know!

Good idea! I can easily add the timestamp, if I find an empty spot for it.
Also I didn't even realize that we don't have a medal for forum topics, I guess I will also add it at some point. Thank you!

@Wylted
I don't have a record of questions answered. I would like to see that
Does it still stand? I am not sure if that's what you are looking for but on your main profile page, there is `General stats` block and it has a number of total questions answered.

@LordLuke
Wow, I like the ideas, thanks a lot!
Also, it would be interesting to know if there is a way to tell if a debate was set to be against a specific person (as compared to becoming an open challenge)
Yeah, it's rather trivial actually.
Bronze: "The Helper" -- Give 1 Used Recommendations to the SiteSilver: "The Assistant" -- Give 3 Used Recommendations to the SiteGold: "The Developer" -- Give 7 Used Recommendations to the Site
I am afraid that is not something that be easily automated.
P.S., in the list of current medals, don't you think "Law Abiding Citizen" should be "Law-Abiding Citizen"?
Possibly, I afraid I am not a native English speaker. I will try to fix it in the new release. Also if you find any grammar mistakes anywhere on the website, please don't be shy to tell me :)

I am not sure if we need even more likes related medals at this point, it's not such a commonly used feature after all. Do you have any other ideas for medals, I could really use some ideas ( please with names, naming is so damn difficult )
Created:

@LordLuke
When you go to someone's medals page, you can see if they've asked 0/5, 1/5 2/5, 3/5, and 4/5 questions, but once they've completed it, with 5 questions asked and answered, you don't know how many they actually asked.Anyone with 5 or more questions has only asked 5 or more questions, and that's all we know.It would be nice to easily see the over-completion of a medal, writing "7/5" and such.Now, you can often check these elsewhere, including in the golden versions of the same medal, but some of the golden ones themselves, such as Respectful Contributor, gives you no other way of checking that information.
That's a fair point, I will try to come up with something to address it.
Created:

@RationalMadman
Those are not counted when it comes to the medals.A bigger issue is that one can like their own comments and forum posts to fast-track the like challenges (other than the 25-at-once one).

Yeah, I finished the deployment like 5-10 mins ago, I do it at this time because most of the people are asleep and it causes the less amount of trouble. But if you are still having it, let me know, because in this case it's a bug.

Hi, it wasn't a glitch, I was just deploying new changes to the website and had to restart it a couple of times. I am sorry for causing trouble.
But please let me know if you are still having any troubles.

Yeah sure, so how it was before:
User uploads an image and it gets shrunk to 140x140px, which is the biggest size used on the website ( on the profile page )
The problem with it is that this image would look kinda blurry on MacBooks and other fancy devices that have a higher pixels density. In order to fix that, that image should be at least 280x280 to be sharp.
So what happens now is that all the new uploaded avatars get shrunk to 400x400 instead of 140x140 and a result, look way more sharper on those devices.
The bottom line is that the only change that may affect the users is that the min size for the avatar image moved from 140x140 to 400x400.

Close enough, there are 3 different indicators now.Ah it means voting period for a debate with banned participant.
1) Debate has a voting period that will end in the next 3 days.
2) Debate has a participant that is banned ( for all debate stages )
3) Debate with participants that have high ratings, I believe currently it's set to be > 1600 or > 1650, can't recall.

It's been there for a while.At the bottom of the forums page is a notice to read CoC but it doesn't go away if you've read it (probably should do that and link it to if the CoC medal is been activated or not).
Indication on debates that you cannot vote on via icon on the outside.
No, it indicates that the voting period is gonna end in less than 3 days. And it's also been there all this time.
A page to handle incoming and outgoing Friends Requests now exists (but you still have to visit their profile to accept, reject or conversely to withdraw it).
Same, it's always been there.
There is now a way to split your notifications up by the type they are in 'Activities'.
And that has been there too...

Is it just me, or has Mike been conspicuously quiet during the whole bsh1 revelation?Was he in favor or opposed to a change in moderation? Does anyone know?
Mike has been overwhelmed at work which he loves so much :/
I am not in favor or opposed, we lost one head mod and we got another one, it's that simple. I am sure the current team that we have is also great.

I would need to check if the rich editor library that I use supports this stuff. If it does, then it's doable, if it doesn't then that would be a pain in the ass.

Oooh signatures, it's a tricky one, I am not yet sold on the whole idea. It creates lots of visual garbage and makes things more difficult to read, in my opinion. We'll need to create a topic on this subject to see what the other folks think about it.

I don't think I will go this route. Not only it can bring security issues, it will also make code easy to steal and all that. And I highly doubt people would be willing to work on it, it's a small hobby project written in a language that many devs never heard about. I can't collect enough donations to cover the hosting expenses and expecting people to work on the open sourced code is even less realistic, especially considering that not everyone is a developer.Make DART opensource >::((
