Okay, there are 9 players. 7 of them are town and 2 are mafia (aka scum).
The game is divided into day phases and night phases.
Each day phase players can post in the day phase thread, during the night phase you cannot post but you can use your power.
Each day phase the 9 players get together to vote one of the players out of the game (this is called a lynch) and each night the mafia team gets to choose one tiwn peraon to eliminate from the game (this is called a night kill). Any questions so far?

I think it may be of use for everyone to state what type of thing they are—like a Building, Troop, Resource, Boost, etc to lock scum into categories for their fake claims.
I'm fine with this, keeping in mind that there is no theme split of course. I don't see any harm though and as you say it will lock scum in for future reference.

As for this guy I have similar problems with the claim that pie has. I haven't played Coc since 2015 so didn't know what a guard post was but after looking it up it seems like it functions similar to a clan castle in defense. I think there would be better options for a cop character like the scouting button for example. I seem to remember Whiteflame saying he wasn't very familiar with the game and I would expect a fake claim from someone unfamiliar with the game to be something basic like a unit or building (I am not a unit or building and neither is Wylted so those aren't the only things Lunatic thought of).

If 420 is town he should not share in the glory of our inevitable victory unless he gets on and starts actually playing.
Therefore I hereby excommunicate 420-1776 from the town. He is to be considered a third party jester for all victory purposes unless we decide to lynch him at which time he will be considered a third party survivor. He may redeem himself in the eyes of God and reacquire the town role given to him by Lunatic if and only if he begins to play the game.

I don't like this answer. If you are fake claiming you would this could be an excuse to make up post hoc whether you want to make up a fake result tomorrow or say "oops only even nights" depending on what is convenient. If you are town... I am not asking for the full extent of your capabilities, just for one night ahead so we can lock you into having or not having a result tomorrow. Mafia already knows you are a cop and has you on their kill list either way.

I'm the Guard Post, and my role is the Cop. The role has a limited use case to it, though I think providing that information is net negative to town, so unless someone has a good reason for me to provide it, I'm going to leave my claim here.
I assume that by limited use case you mean something like 2x uses or even nights or something of that general nature? Not asking for the full details if that is the case, just want to make sure I understand what you are saying correctly and you aren't saying something that's going fully over my head.

420-1776 - I am sticking to my theory that post 56 was a town slip but would still like to hear more from them.
Pie - Thinking on a townie wavelength, pointing out things that it would not benefit scum to point out, and putting in what I interpret as genuine efforts to actively scum hunt.
Wylted - First to lock into a claim and the reads on others seem reasonable, as well as what seems like genuine active scum hunting and aggressive narrowing of scum pool.
Lean Town
Casey - Gut feeling and my town reads town read them. That's enough for me to feel okay with a lean town read at least.
Null (top is closer to town bottom is closer to scum but no strong feelings on any of them either way)
Mharman - Low activity because the game just started yesterday but I like what I see so far
Barney - Similar to Mharman but with less good gut vibes. My gut alone is telling me to put Barney in lean scum but multiple people have described this as normal behavior on their part so I'll leave it null for now.
Savant - I disagree with all their reads which is an indication they may just be coming up with nonsense, particularly in the case of 420-1776, though it is always just possible that we just disagree. Largely moved up to null because of the promise of confirmability.
Lean Scum
Whiteflame - No active scum hunting whatsoever. Though that is normal most of the time in DP 1 when combined with the initial reasons I had them in the lean scum category and the convenient timing of their reads post I feel comfortable leaving them here. Nothing has been done to move them up or down the list in my eyes.

In DP 1 "there is no better lynch target" is always an acceptable reason to lynch someone. 99% of the time you aren't going to get any guaranteed scum in DP 1.

I will bet my life on the odds that either scum don't have a roleblocker, or I can catch a scum player today.
If you are town then your life is not yours to bet because you dying would hurt the rest of town. You are free to provide as much or as little information as you wish but that information needs to be maximally accurate and so I need a straight answer as to whether you can be town confirmed without a doubt or if it's just like a 90% kind of thing.

When people say they have a role that can "confirm" their affiliation I assume they mean that there is a 100% chance that they can be 100% confirmed. If a roleblocker is able to prevent you from proving you are town then you need to tell us this immediately so that I can know that you don't actually fall into the category that I automatically filed you under after your post 175.
