IQ tests are a way to measure your book smart, not your actual smart.

I'm not going exact on these definitions here, but modern art would be something that you would think you could recreate. Like lines or something.
Also I know about the Girl with the Red Balloon and I think that is the dumbest thing ever.
Bad art, selling for lots. Not that art failed to get destroyed, and now it's selling for more.
They even created fake tags associated like "beauty comes from destruction" or something ridiculous like that.
Total scam.

Hey guys, great conversation you're having here, but...
How does this relate to teachers being fired lol?

This sounds like an interesting topic, but I think I need more opinion on this.
I would argue yes. Technology is good.
What do you guys think?

I could literally recreate every single picture in milliseconds. I don't care about the fake "emotion" they put into it, or the amount of "skill" it takes to splash paint like a 2 year old.
Real art takes skill, and possibly weeks of painting.
Change my mind.

@DebateArt.com
Here's my idea...
Could we have a small window screen on the main page with a list of all debates in the voting stage?
That way finished debates can be easily assessed an voted on.
Also to encourage voting, you could have like a point system of something.
A daily streak!
Log in everyday, and vote every third day to keep your streak!
Would something like that work?

Seems rather expensive. How will the benefits exceed those costs and how will taxes rise to pay for this?
Hmm... It's no question that a UBI would help the society, but I hate to see when people talk about the cost of a UBI.
It's cheaper than you think.

Really? You think Sanders has a chance?
His ideas are great, but his only downside is his health, and that's a major one (https://fortune.com/2016/09/14/hillary-clinton-health-poll-concerns/).
I also think that Biden is dying down, and might not be the front runner soon.
And what about Yang? Why don't you like him?

With the recent 5th debate airing a couple days ago, I formulated a new thought on the candidates...
- seemed kinda dull this time
- forgot what he was going to say at one point
Cory Booker
- seems like a cool guy
- nothing special though
Pete Buttigieg
- He's actually pretty good
- I like the way he spoke
Tulsi Gabbard
- She's actually doing pretty good
- Still nothing special though...
Kamala Harris
- More of a emotional speaker
- Nothing special here
Amy Klobuchar
- kinda forgot she existed...
Bernie Sanders
- His ideas about government reform are so good
- Although he's a bit old...
Tom Steyer
- Climate change, cool
- Still new to the debate, but made a good impression
Elizabeth Warren
- Doing pretty good
- Although still nothing special
Andrew Yang
- Favourite candidate by far
- Hope he gets more media coverage though...
What do you guys think?

I agree.
A part of debate is also to vote, but,
It seems now, that most debates are very poorly written. I'm fine voting for any topic (learning something new), but when the text is poor, it's just hard reading it.
I feel like that we should separate debates, serious and non-serious. Maybe we could incorporate this with part of ranked and non-ranked debates?
Here's my idea
We should encourage voting. More badges, extra rewards, or something like that.
We should also make the voting requirements a lot more specific, and encourage in depth responses. But...
If you write a poor debate, you get a poor vote.
But for the people who just want to get a quick debate done, then there should be a separate tab. Like I said before, something like separating serious and non-serious debates.
But, we also need to focus on recruiting new members. Advertisements on DDO and elsewhere might help, and a well crafted tour well guide them right in.
More but reasonable mod action also may be required.
If this continues...
Take a look at DDO. All their debates have next to none votes.
Soon, this site may as well be a dull place, where low quality debates with no attention are spawned.
We don't want to suffer the same fate as them.
We have to change

Teachers don't realize how bad other teachers are teaching. Only students know how badly a teacher is teaching. Also, with my requirement of how at least 2 staff members have to vote, then that prevents it from being all run by students.
Created:

@Inferno
How so? This will be improving the lives of many students across the world, and the rules and regulations are strict enough to prevent any mishaps.

Right now, the like button is this very small unnoticeable button in the far right corner.
It's easily dismissed.
What we can do
Would it be possible if we steal other forms designs, and make the button in the middle left hand side, and bigger?

I would argue that even signing up to battle is an act of heroism. Some soldiers don't come home, and many are aware of that. You are risking your life, all for the common good.

@WaterPhoenix
I guess so...
Created:
This makes a lot of sense once you start thinking about it...
Here's the process:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which teachers can be voted out?
---
If a teacher has sent:
Different Students Total Number of Detention Slips
4 7
5 8
6 9
---
If the class average drops over 8% from the start to the end of the year.
---
At the end of the year, if a class' average is below 77%.
---
1/3 of the class gets below 60% on a unit test.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How will the votes work?
After any of the above requirements are met, the vote begins. A vote becomes successful after the below requirements are met.
---
All but a maximum of four students vote to fire the teacher,
and,
10 other students with the same teacher but different class vote to fire the teacher,
and,
2 staff members vote to fire the teacher
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guys, I think this is a pretty good start. Soon kids will be walking into Harvard like it's nothing. Any improvements?
Oh, and no offense to any teachers out here...

Should there be a mandatory requirement for people to vote let's say every 3 days?
And to make sure you actually voted thought fully, the character minimum should be 100 or something like that.
I don't know, it just seems that debates are deflating when it comes to votes...
What encourages people to vote?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Debate is fun, but it's not without votes. From now on, I'll be voting at least once per day, and you guys should do the same.
