Cars - the movie
-->
@Vaarka
Well considering I want a truck that looks just like "Mater" I'd say it's become pretty popular, with the kids anyways. It wasn't my favorite movie but it had some great scenes. If I had to complain it would be the same complaint I have with all the newer animations....they need to slow the scenes down like the older movies, that's why they are better. Too fast paced, they did a real good job with Nemo, Toy Story and the Iron Giant with making the scenes slower like the older cartoons, which makes them more memorable.

So...design is not the same thing as an appearance of design? then what does a design appear like?

Truth is acquired, either through experience or through another source. You are designed perfectly to know the truth, and to live the truth. Why don't you inspire yourself to reach a little deeper?

The caveman in that picture looks bewildered too, another bizarre feature Jesus would never have had. I'm surprised, it looks more like I would envision Peter lol! but not Jesus. That cross-eyed caveman looks more like Bulproof I would imagine.

Yep sure did, I think I saw that 10 years ago lol, not sure when it came out but I was watching it on TV. Pretty funny, I would think Jesus to be more on the thin side, because of the fasting. A lot of spiritual people fast, I'm sure He wasn't chunky.

Yeah I would agree with that, a psychological evaluation is a good idea. I would hope the school authorities and teachers are undergoing that already lol. Doubt it though....I would assume most average teachers aren't experienced marksmen/shooters. Perhaps this should be something all teachers in todays world might want to practice to bring with them to the classroom being responsible for many children and young adults? I wonder if back in the little house on the prairie days if teachers had fire arms?

@Castin
It's quite possible they got that confused with fruit consumption Castin, fruits have the highest content of nutritional and electrical value and is slowly coming to light that fruits were responsible for bigger brains, intelligence, not dead meat. Look at the links I supplied, specifically the one where it shows the difference between meat eaters and us as humans. Why are carnivores designed in such a way to process meat and humans are not? if we needed proteins from dead meat why are there so many people that do not eat meat? I GUARANTEE you that a raw food, fruit diet produces much more energy than a cooked meat diet any day of the week. If meat were such an energy booster why does everyone get tired after they eat it? it's hard to digest, it putrefies in the colon, it causes heart and kidney problems among other things. Look at the big cats which are true carnivores, they sleep 20 hours out of a 24 hour day cycle. That's the price cats pay for a high protein diet.
I don't eat meat anymore, have no need for it and never did eating meat give me energy actually the opposite. When I eat a fruit, vegetarian raw food diet there is no comparison in energy, not even close.

Atheists: How do you explain the appearance of design?
-->
@Stronn
It really just comes down to two interpretations really. That either all this happened spontaneously or that there is a designer behind the implementation of our universe and beyond. Just because we can explain the process of these designs, doesn't negate the reality that there is a "Designer". It's obvious to Theists that there is indeed a conscious reality implementing designs in the created worlds.

Atheists: How do you explain the appearance of design?

@Stronn
It goes back to what I wrote above, you are willing to acknowledge the "appearance" of design, but then deny that in the process of implementing that design claiming "look, we can explain how snowflakes form so there's no need of a Creator", that's a non sequitur. Snow flakes are a poor example anyways because snowflakes are the result of atmospheric conditions, and atmospheric conditions are the results of another and so on and so on....but, it's the atmosphere itself and the manifestations within it that make snowflakes possible to exist...why does the atmosphere even exist at all? We are looking at the whole not just the snowflake itself. So when we say "design" we are referring to what the world is currently, not how it began. The process is the implementing of that design, plan or thought whatever you wana label it but that which comes from the mind of God. That process is being asserted by materialists/naturalists that it's just a natural phenomena no God needed, no design and no Creator and that is what we believe is absolutely false.

For example planets, suns and moons.....these obviously appear to be "designed" in such a way where there could be potential life. Fruits, herbs, vegetation and food "appears" to be designed for consumption. The distance the sun is positioned from the earth appears to be designed to sustain human life in these material bodies. The balance of the eco system appears to be "designed" and in such a way where is maintains itself, water, oceans and ocean life, the forests, the deserts, the mountains, the flowers and all the creatures that inhabit them all look just like a design. It's not that we can't explain how these things form and how they function rather its WHY do they exist. Just because we can explain the process and mechanics of our universe doesn't mean the very process and mechanics were not implemented from design, from a Creator.

School Safety
Should trained school officials, teachers and the like be allowed to pack heat in the buildings vicinity in case of emergencies? are you comfortable with the idea of your children going through weapon detectors at school? we've had a few evacuations in my local area, both false alarms but still unnerving. A couple of death threats in the high school as well. What are good options in your opinion to protect students?

@janesix
Here's the trick, the "design" is observed in the end product not necessarily the process but the end result of that process. So even though the naturalist/materialist acknowledges the apparent design, they deny it in the process of things. Because they want to focus in on the process of the design, thinking there was no need of anything other than that "process" denying the designer Creator, the One that implemented that process and even though you can see the intelligence/awareness behind it. It's a very strange little play, fun though. It makes for an interesting creation for sure.

Why Trump is really Hitler.
-->
@Greyparrot
I'm a man that doesn't follow other people's opinions about a certain person. I listen to the words the actual person uses and the words they say, and what Trump says and what I've listen to Hitler say are not very similar. Sorry, if I were to follow what the media says about Trump I would have a disgusting opinion of him but when I pay attention to what he actually says in speech it paints a different picture. Hitler seemed much more rigid and darker than Trump, even though Hitler was idolized he still didn't seem very personal...at all. Not saying Trump is the best man, just wouldn't compare his to Hitler that's a little extreme.

@janesix
It could be that many people that eat meat were raised eating it with every meal like I was. Was influenced to believe that we need it, and that we need proteins from dead meat. Something about cooking meat over a fire that smells so good but anything cooked on a fire smells good lol, no IDK why humans like to eat flesh so much but once I stopped eating it I find it kinda gross. But I'm also a great cook, and I can make just about anything without meat.
I think if you were to place a table of fruit and a table full of dead meat in front of a bunch of young kids that have not been forced to believe they need it I'm pretty sure they are going to be drawn to that fruit not the meat. Now put a carnivore like a big cat and you will see the difference.

@janesix
Well they may be able to consume many things, it's not necessarily true they have no problems eating just about anything actually man has many problems with eating the wrong foods. You might want to check the medical statistics, are you not from America? the medical conditions of many Americans is alarming. The death rate from heart problems, kidney malfunction, obesity, cancer ect ect is very high and foods like meats, cheeses, starches, milks, beans, grains, processed foods, processed snacks, fast food the list goes on and on but you will never see fruits, veggies and raw foods on the list of culprits to mans suffering.

Homeschool.....

@janesix
Yes I would agree with that, here's a big factor as far as I'm concerned...

"Home atmosphere is more relaxed, and schedule can be tailored to child’s needs"
"Homeschooling tailors learning to specific children’s educational needs"

I think that is a gigantic benefit as I was raised in the public schools I knew a lot of kids that would have been better off, public schools can be a nasty place lol. But I think it is a good idea to zero in on a child's specific needs, obviously that's not feasible in a large setting it's just a benefit IMO.

Proof no, evidence absolutely and you know exactly what that is. As well, you know my beliefs are based on my own experiences and spiritual sources. Does it make more sense, obviously it does as it answers many questions but that is only common sense, there's more than just common sense. I said common sense AND personal experience.

Eat More Fruit

"Fruits build our immunity
Fruits can nurse us back to health
Fruits keep our weight in check
Fruits perk up body's energy level"

"Health Benefits of Fruit
Eating Fruit Provides Health Benefits"

"The only factor that seemed to predict which species had larger brains was whether their diets were primarily leaves or fruit"
"Primates that eat leaves have to lie around for hours, with all their energy going toward digestion. Eating fruit, on the other hand, offers an animal a jolt of calories in an easy-to-digest package. In primates, the main beneficiary of all that newly available energy is the brain."

Through common sense and personal experience. The reality that we are first a conscious being that takes of embodiments have been around as long as Hindu texts. This is true, you are a conscious being inhabiting a material body, using material forms to navigate creation.

Does Humanity Need A God Story?
-->
@ethang5
I don't know if they "need" it more so that it's a part of the nature of the soul to express God. The very individual soul comes from the heart of God, even when they play in creation it's mans nature to express that. Then why atheists? because at this level in creation souls are subject to the flesh nature as well as the spiritual nature. Man's natural, carnal tendency is to perceive that which is sensed and experienced through the physical body only and atheists obviously are focused on that facet, it's not really a flaw or a sin, it's just an observation, a limited one but an observation none the less. What the atheists should be willing to do, is consider spirituality as a means to objectively experience Theism and to explore resources other than a material based ideology.
Humans need to express God because it expresses the very core of where they originate. Atheists are in a state of denial unintentional, they aren't yet aware of what they come from.

Who created god?
In my humble opinion, it makes more sense that a conscious reality projected the universal mind, which then perceived creation.....rather than to say that somehow a universe formed, then created a mind and then created consciousness. IDK but the former seems more likely to me. You are the observer of the mind, and the player in creation, therefore the observer, which is awareness comes through the mind and implements what it wants....

Who created god?
Nothing created the first Source, even if you go into quantum physics and you travel down through the atom and nucleus all the way down to the base level it's a static, immaterial intelligent reality. The same with our own experience, you can go back no further than the wall, that wall is your observation point and that observation point is your conscious awareness. Now imagine that same reality on a gigantic scale, an omnipresent awareness which first projected the mind. Remember we discussed how a mind is useless without an observer? that's why it's more feasible to consider that conscious awareness came first.
Just like quantum physics proposes, there is a fixed, static state of omni present awareness which manifests form in creation through the universal mind.
This reality was never created, it does not exist in an illusion where a material universe passes in linear time through the movement of matter and space, the illusion of time is nothing but a picture play on the backdrop of an immoveable conscious reality that projects Itself in creation through form, and to experience life through the illusion of time and space. Knowing this, it removes the problem of an infinite regress. I know, you say we have no problem with an infinite regress simply because we are here and I agree, just pointing it out so we don't have to rehash it.

I don't know who is in charge of creating this site but whoever it is, is doing a fantastic job. Easy layout like DDO but even better IMO, I like the subtle art flare really cool. One neat feature I saw on another forum was a "persuade me" feature as a lighter more casual debate option, that could be a cool feature as it's own forum for those who want to be more "open-minded" about debate/discussing something.....could be universal or could be specific but anyways I thought that was interesting.
