a flat tax has little to do with the debt. and, a flat tax would be bad for the debt, if we kept spending high. that's because you'd have to lower taxes on the rich, and if we are going to get much of anything out of tax payers, taxes will have to go up on poorer people to get a similar stream of revenue. a flat tax is unjust and an all around terrible idea.
Just about everything you said here is either wrong or irrelevant to debt control. If you make flat excuses for government waste by throwing out the social justice card, then you've already conceded a reduction of the debt.
Most EU countries tax the poor, and there's no problem considering the poor use most of the services.
The only way a flat tax would make the debt worse is if we didn't tax the people at the level of services the people want.
The tax exemption industry alone sucks about a trillion dollars a year out of the budget if you combine all the money spent on the IRS, tax preparers, lobbyists, and general government bribery and quid-pro-quos.
Flat tax fixes that.
Many of the States already tax the poor with state lotteries and sin taxes that hurt the poor who are addicted to gambling, booze, and cigarettes.
Nobody in those states (most of them are run by Democrats) complain about taxing the poor. Certainly not enough to repeal those taxes on the poor.
Gas taxes, toll taxes, registration fees, licensing, and many other things are also a tax on the poor as well since it's a larger part of their budget. Replacing these things with a flat tax would be a net benefit to all the poor, not just the ones that drive or have bad habits because the rich would be paying more for the same services.
Also, a level playing field will increase GDP and make competition fair as startup businesses don't have to do the pay-to play game trying to reduce their tax burden with crony exemptions. Larger businesses that cannot exploit political connections for tax exemptions will have to compete and lower their prices, which is good for all consumers.
If you are serious about getting the rich to pay their fair share instead of the century-old crony exemption game, you should be all in for a flat tax.

That statement was more in line with his report, and with his earlier opening statement to the Judiciary Committee, where he said, "Based on Justice Department policy and principles of fairness, we decided we would not make a determination as to whether the President committed a crime. That was our decision then and it remains our decision today."
Now I don't know why Mueller thought his job was to uncover a crime considering the Special Counsel simply needed to find impeachable offenses, not crimes. Mueller could have presented Obstruction of Congress and Abuse of Power as impeachable offenses 2 years ago and saved us a lot of time and bullshit.

A big problem with charity is that the bulk of it used to come from rich Americans. Crony America embraced globalism with the blessings of paid politicians and allowed foreign investors to gobble up a good chunk of American Capital. Hedgefund manager icons Soros and Paul Singer purchased both political parties and downsized local American industry and exported the wealth outside of America's borders. That leaves a lot of wealth in the hands of people who have no sense of attachment to America, and won't donate locally like Rockefeller, Ford, or Carnegie.
One unintended (or intended, who cares) effect from policies pursuing America first nativism is that the wealth and capital and jobs will inevitably slowly transfer back to American hands, and charity money will return to early 1900 levels when America cared for its own.

Courts make rulings based on indictments. It is standing procedure that a sitting president cannot be indicted. The courts haven't made a ruling because he has not been indicted. This does not mean that the courts cannot make a ruling because he's already been impeached. This is nonsense that doesn't mean anything
You're showing a severe ignorance of the law in an obvious display of confirmation bias.
Judicial Courts make rulings over grievances, which may or may not consist of indictments. Standing procedure isn't law anyway, and a grievance can be petitioned to the courts from any member of Congress. It's pure nonsense to think Congress has an excuse to ignore the courts.
Trump didn't have to indict Schiff to get satisfaction from the Courts.
It's a horrible thing, confirmation bias. Orangemanbad so the law must work the way you think it must work to justify that.

None of these are clear cases of obstruction. It's mostly opinions of biased lawyers that they could have possibly impeded the investigation. The one about "almost firing Mueller" is laughable. If hypotheticals were impeachable offenses, there wouldn't be enough trees to supply the paper for that list. If Mueller had a complaint and wanted to pursue something specific in the investigation, but was unable due to Trump, you won't find that anywhere in his report.

There was no law stopping Mueller from listing impeachable offenses like every special counsel before him. Mueller just wanted to say something to appear smart because he had no impeachable offenses to list. Just some "maybe" phrases that he hoped Congress would translate as impeachable offenses. Nowhere in the 400-word diatribe (not written but read by Mueller) did the phrase "impeachable offense" appear because he had no possible crimes to list. No Russian collusion. No instances of Trump impeding his investigation. Just a bunch of Orangemanbad opinions written up by fancy lawyers working for the taxpayer.
The only "mobsters" are people like Schiff rewriting the rules of jurisprudence to assume guilt before innocence, to alter the words of the person on trial and present that as evidence, to exclusively use hearsay as the sole source of evidence, to claim obstruction when a defendant asks for a court decision, and to repeatedly claim to have evidence of a crime without actually being required to produce it.
This is a clear case of the abuse of 1/4 of the Congress to destroy a political opponent and reverse the results of a democratic election.

I'm not saying that at all. If you analyze the facts and go off in the opposite direction, that's absolutely fine as long as you are able to justify why you went in that direction. This is something that you should be able to do for any position that you have (If you want any sort of credibility).
