You’re not wrong, figured my date was pretty obvious and yes, there’s a clear link between our dates. If people want to push one of us in a later DP, I think I’d be the better test since I’m the biggest outlier date-wise and mine represents the fall of an offshoot of the Roman Empire.

That being said, looking through the claims made to date, the ones that stand out as odd are Casey’s and Vader’s. I’ve found a possible event for the latter, but it’s notable that it’s much less well known than other claims already on the table. Casey’s claim regards the birth of an emperor, which is an unusual choice when all the other claims regarding emperors cover consequential moments during their rule.
I agree with you on both. Why Trajan specifically? Could have been any one. Julius Caesar, Augustus Caesar make the most sense. It’s odd that it was specifically Trajan.

I think it's at least possible that the theme split is between events that happened after the fall of the Western Roman Empire and ones that happened before it + the year 476 itself. That would make Vader and Whiteflame the scum team.

That's true, and I already had an idea for such a theme split in mind before Pie shared his. I'll wait until Wylted claims or flips to say what it is, though.

Anyways, if I die in the night, thematically speaking, if Whiteflame ends up claiming 1453 AD, it’s conceivable that him and Lunatic are the scum team. 476 AD is when the Western Roman Empire fell and 1453 AD is when the Eastern Roman Empire aka Byzantine Empire fell.

Alright, that year is one that is pretty likely to be in the game. Makes me less sus of Luna for now, though he could have seen that no one else was that year and went for it. The only one who could cc him at this point is Wylted. I'd still like to see a role claim from Luna personally.

Also, I suspect the theme split is somewhat obvious at this point. The more I read over the existing claims, the more I get why they’re bunched up like this, though I want to get the remaining decades in hand before proceeding with some public theme analysis.
I am of the same mind. At this point it’s obvious that the remaining people that haven’t claimed are pretty suspicious.
