About my townread on banana, Its basically a gut read, but I feel like they push mass soft claims as town more than they do as scum. I could be wrong, but I am willing to put them in my town pile for now.
Couldn’t that be said for everyone? And how do you distinguish whether it’s scum Banana or town Banana just from this?

Pie and Mikal both feel off to me somehow. I feel like there's probably at least one scum between them. I'll elaborate later, but I don't like how Mikal entered the game or how Pie is approaching solving it.

I am Anthony Hopkins. I am pretty sure I know the theme as well based on the description. I think it might be autism given the characteristics mentioned of Anthony Hopkins being extremely focused.I am the actor and I cannot vote unless it is to hammer. I didn’t like his idea of soft claiming why we’re famous, and it felt like character phishing to me.
In general, the act of asking for soft claims is null to me because any affiliation can do that. Banana did it when she was scum with you, Whiteflame did it as scum in a game before. Various townies have done it as well.
But it’s more so what exactly he was asking. If I revealed what my person was famous for, it would be insanely obvious. I presume it would be the same for the rest of town. Just doesn’t sit right with me.

Both of these have been soft claimed already, so if Wylted doesn't get cc'd by Earth, I feel safe giving him a strong town read. I don't think scum would risk a conflict like this, unless they were just going to claim their actual role. And I don't think they would, since according to Casey, the theme split is apparently obvious.

I'm going to push back on first letter softclaims a bit. I think that they can be more revealing than might be obvious, though it does depend on what letter you have. I think that if I'm right about the theme split however, my character is not hard to guess from my letter.I will, however, say that my character is male and quite famous.

I agree with pretty much all of this tbh. Swingy games can still be fun, but this was swingy in a bit of a weird way imo. But it's not bad for a first game. I still think it's crazy that you made a game called Feminism Mafia and didn't include Gloria Steinem, Susan B Anthony or Sojourner Truth at all, tho. That genuinely kind of blows me away.
It was more so about finding good roles for them lol. Savant wanted a swingy game, so I helped him to the best of my ability on that.

Hold on. Previously, when you were pressured to claim, what did you do? You claimed immediately. Everyone townread you and played with you without issue.
What did you do this game. You started off explicitly with you’re not going to claim and if town forces you to claim, you’re going to lie about. At that point, why should town believe anything you would ever say regardless of if you claim DP3 IC.
Let’s think about what would have happened if you had done exactly what you did the previous game. If you had just said I am Malala and DP3 IC, I guarantee you town wouldn’t have lynched you. Luna only supported your lynch because of the admission you were going to lie. And then you effectively tunneled him the rest of the DP.
Count your number of posts last game and compare them to DP1 of this game. You’ll see a crazy difference. Luna wasn’t out to get you. Townies make mistakes and misread people all the time. It’s part of the game. But that’s less likely to happen if you are honest and don’t change the way you play.

I don't think anyone actually took this argument seriously. He happened to be right here, but he could have just as easily been wrong if he was a day vig and using this as his only logic. Again he had other reasons for scum reading whiteflame though he mentioned in dp2.
Regardless, I think it creates an implicit bias. I agree with the lynch decision after the character and role WF went with as a fake claim, but it’s a learning experience for all of us. I think in future games we should all set our discords to idle or offline regardless of our affiliation

I agree with Savant that the Discord thing was kinda bs. You’re not supposed to use outside information. That defeats the purpose of the game. If WF had survived, scum had a great path to victory. I think for future games, everyone should be permanently show offline or idle to ensure these shenanigans don’t happen again.
I was disappointed in the claim WF came up with. There were so many free characters available like Susan B Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Jailkeeper was also a weak claim imo. Something inconsequential like an Ascetic or Visitor, or something like that would’ve probably been better.
I normally don’t like super swingy games, but Savant wanted this set up, and I tweaked it in a way where both sides had chances to win and it wouldn’t be crazy swingy/favor one side over the other. In hindsight, I wouldve made the Super Saint deactivate at MYLO/LYLO. RM throwing should’ve resulted in a scum win but for the Discord thing.
