Liking of pizza is clearly something that is mostly cultural. Just like Americans finding Chinese eating dogs disgusting. Food taste is cultural. No doubt there can be some genetic predisposition that make you more inclined to like a certain food, but just like homosexuality, those predisposition caused by genetics are typically but not always just one factor and the smallest factor in sexualt preference.

I would accept as axiomatic that orphaned children and homeless people are social ills that all states are required to address since the beginning of civilization. Why beat up Bernie Sanders? That irresponsible bullshit and you know it. Do you really think the car vendor opens up your account to some tow truck driver so he can check that he's in the right? That would be against the law. No. More likely the vendor tells that tow truck driver that he ha to collect at least 5 cars a day from this list of addresses or they will find someone who can.
Mistakes like this should not happen.

The alternative is to do nothing. I have to beat his ass so he walks away and maybe thinks twice about his choices in the future.
I can't trust the authorities. I tried that before, it didn't work. In fact the justice system does not work for a lot of people, on a daily basis. So going to the police is not the answer.
The finance people are untouchable. They aren't the ones who actually took the car. I have also talked to them, they seem cool. They sound like they might possibly take care of some legal bills as well.

Because he was a guy just doing his job and following the law. He's just paid to move cars from one place to another, he's not paid to figure out if you're up to date on your bills. If he didn't tow your car, he might very well have got fired.
Why the fuck would you follow incorrect orders. That is why you do due diligence to make sure you are doing the right thing and do not make a move until you are certain you are not wronging somebody.
Plus how would I know for a fact this would get resolved correctly. I still haven't found my receipt for the payment, luckily the finance company found a copy. I usually just throw receipts away, because in a perfect world, they don't matter, qnd the world should be perfect

About 6 months ago I attacked somebody for arguing with me and then telling me I wouldn't hit him and telling me to "do it, you won't do it bitch"
I did think about never doing it again after that though, because my fist landed wrong and it felt like I broke my wrist. I must not have because it works fine now, but for a few months I questioned if I was getting too old for this.

I might make just a few more posts after this thread slows down, but I have been in jail because of a physical altercation that was not my fault.
Let me explain.
I had paid my car bill on time but I wake up to a tow truck outside of my house, starting to hook up my car.
I asked him "wTF are you doing?"
Ge showed me paperwork to tow the car for an unpaid bill.
I say "I paid the bill"
He says "okay just show me the reciept"
I said "fuck you, I'm not showing you shit "
In my mind I paid and the only thing that matters here is he has no right to tow it. We argue for a bit and then I punch him in the face and jump on him.
Some neighbors saw what was happening, the cops show up and arrest me.
About a day after I get out of jail the tow truck driver has dropped the car back off at the house and my finance company called me to apologize for a computer error.
Plus like every fucking time I have ever had a car towed, all my change disappeared from my center console
Why am I being charged with a crime, when I am innocent and paid my bill?

It's the kids that have lost and are losing parents and grandparents to this shit that are traumatised. Kids don't give a fuck about masks. I would shoot you.
School shutdowns have brought an increase in abuse to kids who are now stuck at home with abusive parents instead of safe with teachers. Just to give kids a 5 day 8 hour a day reprieve from abuse is a lot.
As far as masks being traumatizing, there is evidence that the panicked reactions of some parents have caused kids to feel like the world is a dangerous place which leads to generalized anxiety disorder. The isolation and fear of getting too close to others can lead to a lot of social anxiety.
Studies have been done on kids with parents who have emotionally unreactive faces or who give kids too little face to face time, and we have seen it can lead to things like sociopathic behaviors and depression.
You are just looking at the positives of of vaccination. We see 85 year olds who die of a virus that is very unlikely to kill, maybe lose 2 years of their life. That's a tragedy, but it is rare enough and only happens to unhealthy people.
Now we have the omicron variant going around, and it kills practically nobody. Almost nobody is dying of omicron. Hospitalizations because of it are extremely low as well, and it seems to work better than the vaccine at giving people immunity. Biden could declare victory right now and the world would follow suit. He won't though.
Besides that, it's impossible to sell people on the fact vaccines are effective and that the unvaccinated are harmful. If you are vaccinated, the unvaccinated shouldn't bother you.

I think Americans are supposed to be different than the rest of the world.
If I am offended in any way, it is because RM would be mistaken for an American somehow.
There is a phrase here. "Give me liberty or give me death' and it is a very American attitude.
Freedom is seen as an intrinsic good. I think the rest of the world considers it a consequential good.
For a European, freedom might be a result of living in a safe society, or as a result of things such as well regulated industries or the government paving roads for improved autonomy.
For an American, freedom is something like, my ability to shoot up heroin or the fact I can piss on am American flag or insult the president or opt out of vaccines even if that opting out kills 10 other people who also opted out. Or deny the holocaust.
It's a different mindset and we don't expect other nations to have it. If I moved to Ireland tomorrow I would respect your way of doing things and the culture surrounding that. I wouldn't say that Ireland needs this mentality of freedom. Irish thought is for the Irish and American ideals are for Americans.
I won't get insulted by Europeans thinking it is stupid. It should be stupid from their perspective.
