Really? Naming your cookies "Hydrox"?
Hydrox was copied by Oreo, which was in turn copied by many others. Hydrox is now owned by another company and barely being sold.

Seriously look at the name. You expect me to see Hydrox and not think it is soggy?

No such thing as separation of church (religion) and state.
On top of that, separating the "church" from the state is especially easy if we just build Mosques over them. Or if we take Le Corbusier's plans to action.

Its actually impossible to read billion comments in a lifetime, let alone in the short time you have been on Earth. Besides, I doubt billion of Chinese commented to you. Well, most of Chinese dont even have internet.
Not knowing what sampling means definitely discredits you from engaging in valid talk about international affair I would fear.

@Savant
I think part of the issue with this, and not just in China, is that if you ask 10 people what socialism means, you will get 20 different answers. You can get progressives to agree that "we need more socialism," but then they will argue over whether x, y, and z is actual socialism.
Unfortunately, that is an issue that I have already talked about in the first post. They aren't teaching it correctly and effectively.
  • Socialist ideological education isn't being done well enough. They fit a set of information so expansive in one semester that nothing is being explained clearly enough from the average teacher to the average student. Thus, many people's understanding of socialism even after graduating college stalls at "china good, socialism good, marx good, america bad" and some disconnected buzzwords picked on the night before the finals. Most college students agree that this class is taught like crap and complain about it.
On top of that, Gov & Politics are not being properly taught in High school either. The most obvious example is an entire semester dedicated to teaching "philosophy" when in reality it is a puddle of rushed muddle where they actually think "there must not be a god" "marx is just right" "materialism is correct, idealism is wrong" and have you write test questions for it. Unless you want to work in the government (actually, that is a pretty popular job as it is stable) then you would probably not like it. There has been way too many criticisms on the obviously logically fallable framework illustrated in that book.

I find it absolutely funny that asian moms coerce their HS-age kids to engage in infinite toil, and with no life or extracurricular either at this point, to go to school that does not even record the GPA. Honestly, if I have to go through this I will, along with other college students, cram it the night before.

I have seen evidence of them forcing uygher women to marry non uygher men to wipe them out slowly, arrests for reading the Quran etc.
Those evidence come from Adrian Zenz, a sinophobic racist dude who has never been to the so-called "concentration camps". He merely tried to estimate the figure by calling HR centers from abroad and extrapolating data. Also, RFA is a sinophobic agency funded by the US government to talk shit about us.

I genuinely think those "evidence" are just false.

However I have seen how Muslims treat non Muslims in predominantly Islamic countries and I do not blame China for mitigating that risk, despite them denying it and despite how abhorrent most westerners find it
What is wrong with you

PM him. He's earned my respect for posting it at all but if he is concerned about his safety in any way than we can at least mitigate any harm by deleting it before it is up too long. Pretty sure this site is below the radar of the cpc though.
You are concerned about nonexistent issues.
  • The main form of moderation done here is not that they let the cops storm your house once you posted something sensitive. The main form is that an online filter, accompanied with moderators, deletes any post with sensitive topics in them. They will only fine & arrest you if you actively spread lies to the general public even in place of the filter.
  • Most things discussed here are daily matters of complaint on Bilibili and Zhihu and similar platforms used across the country. If they are not outright removing like 15% of all posts in a nationwide platform, I should be fine here. I am not "twisting" narratives unlike Adrian Zenz has been consistently doing for the past decade. I am merely stating stuff that is virtually common across almost all users of internet here and has been restated through tens of thousands of mouths.
  • Also, most of China has internet(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_in_China). We use our tax for that as well. If anyone is more concerned about tax, I think corruption within the system should be a MUCH BIGGER concern than anything else. Yes, even you Americans. Especially you americans.

@Adreamofliberty Other facts of interest being the 60 million people communism killed through starvation.
I mean, Capitalism probably has killed much more. Look at 1800s India as a singular example. If you are determining to criticise a social system by its kill count then the best form is probably Kakistocracy because it has never killed anyone as it has never been used once.

The actual pressing issue at hand is not China is socialist: It is that it isn't socialist enough. Revisionist tendencies has caused the same type of bureaucracies and corruption to resurface again that cannot be effectively wiped even with dedicated forces. That is what we actually care about.

Not to mention a lot of "socialist" countries are basically not. Like North Korea. Counting those under the extents of socialism is akin to putting the faults of the Irish under the radar of the UK because it used to be a part of the British empire.

This problem is rampant in most of Asia in general though western countries go too far in the other direction
The same direction actually I would fear. Try going to a dinner with JP Morgan officials and you will find that insufferable. It is just by being here, it is overly unnecessarily dining rituals with chinese characteristics. Nothing more really.

Had to give a toast to my grandparents a few years ago. Why do they care that it is I who said it. It is so annoying.

@Savant There have been allegations of waterboarding, compulsory sterilizations, and forced labor.
Adrian Zenz is a joke of a scholar who has never been to the alleged "concentration camps", extrapolated data that is supposed to be serious, and funded agencies to talk shit about it. Don't trust anything out of his filthy mouth.

Also I find it depreciatingly funny that some of the allegations for Uyghur “human rights violations” aside from actual prisons are just widespread malpractices in the workplaces. Just help all of us, you don’t have to make it racial.

Yes, they consider it a human rights violation when it is one of those sweatshops like literally everywhere else. Yes it ain’t the best working condition but some are actually above-average if anything.

The problem is that they are missing the point and thus revealing themselves as separatists who hate us.

ACTUAL problems in my country that exist
I find it pretty laughable that Western Media don't focus on the actual things that trouble us.

  • The Gaokao is inhumane, and so is the Zhongkao. Zhongkao is kinda like Gaokao Jr., where you take it at the end of 9th grade. It is considered to be even more important in a student's life, especially in resource-lacking provinces such as mine (which is why I decided to go to an international department of an HS, do AP courses and go to the US for college). In extreme cases, only less than 50% of Zhongkao takers are eligible for any high school at all. Rest of them either has to go to a technical training school (where because most people there are neither academically accomplished nor morally well-behaved, rendered them virtually useless in society and looked down upon throughout the entire society) or even worse, has to start working at or even under minimum wage. But, if you go to a regular high school, it is another prison for 3 years, you are just not sentenced to community service. This creates social divide, and nobody has fun.
  • Colleges in China have barely any campus culture. Well, maybe except for those toppy top ones like Tsinghua. Most people are simply too burned out from Gaokao to strive for actual greatness in college. In fact, the admissions system is broken: you decide for the major AFTER gaokao which transpired about 5 days ago, and annually. I applied to US universities so I know how important it is to have a major in mind at least by the start of senior year(this is already as late as it should be humanly possible). Result? Prefroshes don't know what they actually like to study and go into fields that make money without loving the field. Another reason why they slack.
  • They push the 3-child subsidy even through PSA advertisements on streaming websites despite nearly nobody wanting to because rent is so high it would be unsustainable for the average family to start 3 kids.
There is someone who is basically Wylted's idea of me, times 200, teaching this course, named Dr. Ai Yuejin(He literally made fake stories about Chairman Mao), and he was actually considered to be an above average professor at this field! Crazy.
  • Job culture is toxic. Not only is the working hours not regulated enough, competition is so extreme that people with a Masters are applying for menial jobs and people with just a Bachelor's are jobless because of that. Many people are inclined to get a Masters of a Doctorate just to get a job rather than out of the pleasure of learning.
  • Nepotism runs rampant. A PI scolded his grad students because he trusted them to help with his daughter's project in a middle school competition and did not win. Soon it was discovered that a lot of the projects there were done due to nepotism. This was far from the only case.
  • Parents are toxic and make kids no-life all the way until college. Ramifications explained above.
  • Dining ettiquete, where employees must be completely submissive to their bosses to the point there are tutorials on how to effectively overdrink and how to say stuff in a way that pleases your boss. This exists even in the research settings with one's higher ups. Here is a joke here: If Hawking was working in China, he would be demoted for not knowing how to give a toast!
  • Moving holidays around so for every extended break you would get quite a few 6-day workweeks if not 7. This should not be allowed. (Cue Anakin from Ep. 3)
  • The music industry went south quickly in the last 20 years to the point where a small singer from the United States was able to sweep a national level music competition aired on TV.
None of what I said here is slander. All of these are actual issues we actually care about. I am not a bootlicker or a stupid ignorant kid. I just know that if you don't live here, chances are that you don't know what is actually the pressing issues. This was a quick browse from Bilibili, our equivalent of Youtube. If they think it is my problem and even arrest me, well, just pretend I am adding another line to this post. But the point is still the point.

1. Dont eat too much food, eat just small meals, eat twice a day

Too much food causes you to be less happy. Overeating might feel good while you eat, but overall, eating less feels better.
There is only one reason why I do this and it is because I wake up late so I only need lunch & dinner.

Nobody should be a fan of Hamas. Most people who "stand with Hamas" don't really know that they too are just a terrorist group that just so happens to be fighting against Israel. What they should be standing with and are probably in reality standing with, are the people in Palestine who are suffering due to war.

To be fair, Hamas did kill civilians too, but only to a lesser extent.

Still, Hamas is just a "terrorist group" with fundings from ties to Israel that take advantage of the hatred of Israel. No official government's military should order to bomb hospitals and resources.

  1. Margerie Taylor Greene
  2. Bernie Sanders

If you are a 100% straight man who hates Trump, then it doesn't matter how much you hate MTG and like Bernie Sanders, you would rather start a family with Jewish Space Laser MTG than Bernie Sanders.
Having sex with either would be a punishment, but having a family with MTG is a much bigger punishment than with Bernie Sanders. Net harm is less for Bernie Sanders even if I am straight. The thing is just...I don't find either of them physically attractive.

I find voluptuous women more attractive personally than jacked men. Neither of the two are either. This argument means naught.

I genuinely think debating should not be about moderation but to explore the far stretches of linguisitical logic.

I have noticed that someone has said "K-Pop isn't even that good". By "that good", what are they even comparing it to, with nothing remotely related within the previous segments of conversation to make such a connection of even a little sense?

Colloquial speech confuses me.

Forests don't stall climate change by any hypothetical mechanism that stands the test of logic, nor does litter accelerate it.
Litter damage the ecosystem which may eventually kill trees. I know it currently isn't doing a lot, but it is because most people are showing restraint.

Without trees and we would be left with much less oxygen recycling plants and things go haywire from there.

People argue that with enough funding that you can cure/treat cancer which saves people’s lives.  By arguing climate change is unsolvable, you are saying no amount of money thrown at the problem will solve the problem.  So why complain about it?
You don't need to fully solve the problem. You just have to keep the level of it being problematic to one low where one can live sustainably. We just need to keep the harmful effects of nature at bay instead of domesticating the entire nature.

That is what we are trying to do, and if we aren't trying to do that and instead attempting to pull a Don Quixote towards the cyclones, then I'd argue maybe the decision makers aren't smart enough.

Preserving old growth forests and abstaining from using materials that won't bio-degrade as disposables
That is what we do to stall climate change. Of course climate changes naturally. This is how we make it less harmful than it already is. If you are somehow dismissing these as useless efforts, that is when you don't understand the environment.

Climate change isn't exactly a white and black problem. All "we" or "leftists" (apparently, although I identify myself with kinda the "left" if so) advocate is, for example, chop down 50 acre of the forests rather than 200, pollute 20 tons of trash rather than 300 by recycling many things, etc. It isn't all or nothing.

We want to reduce the effect of something that is impossible to be completely and perfectly treated. I mean we can't exactly cure the deadliest form of cancer, still doesn't stop us from wanting to suppress and treat the cancer so that it affects less of daily lives of people rather than killing them.

People say America is built on stolen land
-->
@cristo71
Eh, I guess you have a point.

Though I think the reason the US is stolen land is because the founding fathers and therefore the people related raided native american land whilst KNOWING they have been living there since long ago. It is theft if you already do acknowledge they live there.

If they think the land was never native americans' to begin with then the dispute is in the air again. I am sorry, I do not know enough US history to have a valid enough opinion on this.

Like the theft of any other thing ever. If a piece of land is owned by someone legally and you raid it, you stole the land essentially.

I guess you could say that native americans back then had no recognized law regarding land ownership, but that is still because the US did not recognize their land ownerships.
