Barring the ridiculous ideology part,
Fair point,
Their genetics likely are fairly similar.

Though humans in 'general, eh pretty similar.
. . .
Still, even if humans are similar, does this mean I should not love my family more?
Eh, would I love a clone of me most?
. . .

Eh, here I tilt to absurdism and shrug.
. . .

Point is there 'are differences though,
That people have certain values,
And have separated into different tribes,
Better to go on their own paths, than try to mix together too much.

I don't recall tons of Jews suicide bombing Germans, Jews murdering many German and Foreign civilians.

Israel does not have Death Camps, that I've heard about.
. . .

Perhaps the best solution 'would be the forced exile of the Palestinians,
They keep electing Hamas, keep attacking Israel.

There are many other Islamic countries.
. . .

Still a bad solution, but what solution is good in this case?

Devices can break without being asked,
Can fail to be fixed no matter how we try,
Even off switches, don't always function,
Can even kill humans, provided their Choose Your Own Adventure Storybook programming says to do so if X options are in place.

I'm being difficult,
But as I said in a earlier comment,
I admit I'm still unsure of the particular that make 'us people.

Seems better not to create something that we are unsure whether it is a person or not,
And stick with creating devices we are sure are not people.

You don't think you can find 3 judges capable of some objectivity?

And consider America 'not a terrorist organization,

I pick USA not terrorist,
Within the generally vague understood meaning of the word terrorist.
I pick America 'can judge Hamas.

If you make a debate with the title,
America should be considered a terrorist organization,
I will read it, consider it,
But I don't think you'll win it, if you go against a half decent opponent.
. . .

For myself, there 'are little particulars I need to move around, define,
Before I have a strong view on this conversation of ours,
Though I still lean towards America 'not being a terrorist organization.
. . .

Hm, I don't recall American paramilitary suicide bombers towards civilians, ever being much of a mainstream event in our history.

I do not ever recall calling Palestine terrorists,
I 'do recall calling Hamas terrorists.

When people risk death, injury, and jail, to protest American actions,
That is outrage enough.

Outrage 'towards America, by Americans,

Eh, it's not a 'plus to Israel and America relations,
But 'again, 'politics.

"U.S. assistance to Egypt has played a central role in Egypt’s economic and military development and in furthering the U.S.-Egypt strategic partnership and regional stability. Since 1978, the United States has provided Egypt with over $50 billion in military and $30 billion in economic assistance. As a result of U.S. government economic assistance to Egypt:"

"Since 2015, the Department of State has provided Jordan with $21.33 million for International Military Education and Training (IMET), one of the Department’s largest global allocations of IMET funds."

Besides, America and China relations aren't 'all bad.

"U.S. trade with China has grown enormously in recent decades and is crucial for both countries. Today, China is one of the largest export markets for U.S. goods and services, and the United States is among the top export markets for China. "

I'm having trouble 'seeing what you are 'seeing?

"Many Americans opposed the war on moral grounds, appalled by the devastation and violence of the war."

"Security Council were to reject a resolution paving the way for military action, only 54% of Americans favored a U.S. invasion. And if the Bush administration did not seek a final Security Council vote, support for a war dropped to 47%."

"U.S. Army officers covered up the carnage for a year before it was reported in the American press, sparking a firestorm of international outrage."

(Shrug) Politics.

The Six-Day War (Hebrew: מִלְחֶמֶת שֵׁשֶׁת הַיָּמִים, Milḥemet Šešet HaYamimArabic: النكسة, an-Naksah, lit. 'The Setback' or حرب 1967, Ḥarb 1967, 'War of 1967') or June War, also known as the 1967 Arab–Israeli War or Third Arab–Israeli War, was fought between Israel and a coalition of Arab states (primarily EgyptSyria, and Jordan) from 5 to 10 June 1967.

Relations between the U.S. and Jordan have been close for over four decades.[2] U.S. policy seeks to reinforce Jordan's commitment to peace, stability, and moderation. The peace process and Jordan's opposition to terrorism parallel and indirectly assist wider U.S. interests.

Egypt is a valued U.S. partner in counterterrorism, anti-trafficking, and regional security operations, which advance both U.S. and Egyptian security. The decades-long defense partnership is a pillar for regional stability

An ally is someone one can make use of,
Israel is a strong country, equal in strength to it's neighbors.
Useful foothold in the Middle East.
"the only foreign military installations on Israeli soil are US bases, including an AN/TPY-2 early missile warning radar station on Mt. Keren.[6]"

Also useful to support a nation that is targeted by invasion and terrorists and moral outrages.

There are 'many reasons for America to support Israel,
Posts like this one of yours's confuse me.
. . . .

As Vegasgiants says,
"We have people attack religions in the US too"
Not 'ideal, but happens.
Of Israeli persecutions on Christians, I have not researched, so I don't have a strong opinion.

I'm unsure of China and America relations,
I haven't researched that.

I wouldn't say it was the 'media so much in this case,
When an atrocity is committed,
Outrage is a common response, anger, and hate.

Course anger and hate unfortunately often blind with rage,
Striking out, even in the dark.

Course some people just more free with words, and 'maybe support regardless, towards certain actions.

Many websites seem to remove videos of real events, for being too shocking.

Though arguably such videos 'can also be false, misrepresented, or lead to an increase in bloodshed.
. . .

It seems better for their to be at least 'one website,
Where 'complete free speech is had.

Though perhaps it would be necessary for there to be some way to be certain it is a real person, and it be them behind the screen.
Bots, propogandists with sock accounts, should be avoided.
. . .

I suppose this thought just comes to mind,
As a number of videos regarding the Hamas attack on Israel are deleted,
Then Hamas supporters claim such events do not occur.

I'm doubtful we have 'created "a sentient, self determining, alternative data processing device" yet.

I also don't think we should be 'trying to.
I view it as wrong to create a new class of sentient highly intelligent life, born to slavery,
Possibly born to pain or retardation.

Sucks that we're stuck with animals,
Going to eat and use them,
Doesn't mean we should try to 'increase the number of life forms, or increase their intelligence.
. . .

I still don't quite know what this 'sentience is, this consciousness, existence,
Even for my 'own materialistic view, there's 'way too many gaps.

How will we be able to determine if we 'have created a sentient AI?

Nor a Choose Your Own Adventure Book,
Nor an advanced Choose Your Own Adventure Book.

People make an AI that plays pong,
Except it's 'not a 'person playing Pong, it's quite clearly just a Choose Your Own Adventure Book,
Ball moves X, screen is programmed to move X.
. .
It's no more sentient than a line of dominos.

Even more advanced AI, that play Real Time Strategy Games,

I think Islam 'can be peaceful,
That location and time though, pretty unpeaceful.
. . .

Palestine[edit]
Since being annexed by Egypt in 1959, the Gaza Strip has applied Egyptian penal law Articles 290 and 291, although these have been repealed in Egypt itself in 1999.[42] After being annexed by Jordan in 1950, the West Bank has applied the 1960 Jordanian penal law Article 308.[42] It is unclear how often the law was applied in practice. Ikhlas Sufan, director of a Nablus victims of violence shelter, told Human Rights Watch that "between 2011 and 2017 prosecution for rape has been halted in 60 cases – in which the shelter was helping the women – after the alleged rapist agreed to marry the victim. In 15 of these cases the women later divorced these men."[81] After an activist campaign put pressure on the Palestinian Authority, president Mahmoud Abbas eventually signed Law no. 5 of 2018 on 14 March 2018, which repealed article 308 of the 1960 Penal Code enforced in the West Bank. However, because the Gaza Strip is de facto controlled by Hamas, the Egyptian-derived marry-your-rapist law still applies there.[81]

Which isn't me saying all Palestinians are backwards rapists,
But it sounds to still be a fair bit in the culture there.
. . . . .

Course rape itself is common in war, on any side, not that it's good,
But lot of the view by a lot of the people in that neck of the woods, is war, enemies, dehumanization, degradation, horror.

There is that in Ukraine and Russia 'now as well.

And of course America in some of our times as well.
"War is Hell" - William Tecumseh Sherman.

Course Sherman also went on to oppress the Native Americans
. . .

One see's inhumanity often in conflict.

Fellows, I think.

Not that they can't try for both,

Love them for promoting their tribe values.

Personally, it makes sense to me for as 'many people as possible in a country to carry a gun.
This thought pops to my mind, hearing about the Hamas attack on Israel,
Civilians killed, kidnapped, murdered.

Course one would ideally want one's people to be sane, trained, and law abiding.
. . .

It 'bothers me, not in this particular instance, but generally speaking,
When I hear about people who surrender, allow themselves to be taken hostage,

Who can blame the Jewish people for looking to return to their homeland?
To form a nation of their tribe?

Not that I'm taking sides much,
I don't know much.

But it often 'sounds that Palestine started to exist as a 'country, once Arab nations in the area took a worry about the reoccurrence of Israel as a nation.

Not that Palestinians did not exist, did not live on their own land already,
But buffer states are a concept,
A reason for Arab nations to encourage immigration to Palestine.

Just propaganda?

I've heard not all those separatists are 'patriots, so much as mercenaries and Russian soldiers.

I've heard that many consider the 'elections held their by the Russian occupying forces, to be a sham.

Why should hundreds of thousands of people die, trying to force those people to be Russian?
"During the dissolution of the Soviet Union, 83.9% of voters in Donetsk Oblast approved Ukraine's declaration of independence in the 1991 referendum.[8]"

So far as I know,
Russia lied, encouraged, supplied, led, declared war.
'Aggressor, instigator, escalator of the conflict.

I'm not convinced Americas various forms of power make America invulnerable.

Nations fall eventually, nations change,
America 'could have a civil war again, though I'm not 'expecting one anytime soon.

If America became fractured and weak, better we have 'tried to encourage the world to be better, than worse.

Nonlethal, contests, and/or limited war,
To decide outcomes of power and influence.

I suppose 'companies compete in such a way,
Appealing as they can to the customer,
Overhanded or underhanded, setting prices, advertising, so on.

'Sounds better than death, for people to decide matters in such a way,
Or at least limited death,
Though I suppose limited death 'does follow in many a war.

Take the American Civil War,
Not as though every soldier died, nor every civilian fought or to the end.

Instead proxies were used, by many southern citizens, northern citizens, even if they supported their causes financially.
. . .

People often 'hate going under the yoke of others though,
Like their own values, laws, freedoms.. . .
. . .

Be 'galling beyond one's limit perhaps,
To accept a limited contest, then live under tyranny,
Not that I'm saying the north was tyrannically, I'm just thinking about the idea 'generally speaking,
Say Nazi Germany for example, challenged some country to a contest,
Each country send 1 man,
Country that loses must accept being ruled by the other.

'Galling I say again, beyond endurance, to submit to such.
Well, 'some peoples endurance.

I am reminded of Beni Gabor, from The Mummy (1999 film),

Not that I'd expect him to be saved by 'any of the religions in divine intervention.

But what one 'get's from their effort,
Depends on their belief/commitment in it, perhaps.

Once people 'know something is possible, they become able themselves,

To what extent ought the religious person engage with the world and ...
-->
@Tradesecret
I'm not specifically speaking about Christianity or religion,
Really many beliefs fall into my thoughts below.

If a person is strong enough, I think it is better to be out in the world, yet aware of there being more.
(Not that I believe in such myself, but if I 'did believe in something after)

There are people suffering, that one could aid,
Though living by example can be good as well.
. . .

Though perhaps even living in a monastery,
One could aid others.
"Science and education the way we know them did not appear until the 17th and 18th century. Until then, the centres of knowledge, education and culture – in Western Europe and Russia alike – were the monasteries. Unexpectedly, the people who left the secular world gave it multiple inventions that have continued to play prominent roles in people’s lives to this day.."

One is 'still of this world, being human,
Even should one practice some aesthetic, spartan, abstaining lifestyle, that is not focused on rampant greed, power, and acquisition at the cost of others.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

To be in the world but not of it.
, ,
People sometimes talk of the body as a vessel, a shell, this life temporary, these materials not what we take with us.
To be not of it, is to focus on development of ones character, I imagine.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I don't know if the religious should isolate or not,
It doesn't seem a bad way to live according to their beliefs,
But it seems better even, to try to help others.
(Depending on the religion)

Depends on one's means maybe,
And the character of the various schools.
. .
People often yelp about religious people doing a disservice to their kids,
But eh, same people would probably think it's fine to pull kids out of Nazi Germany school teaching Aryan Power.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I don't know the to what extend should they engage or choose not to engage.
Not everyone is 'capable of doing 'more,
Sometimes people can do more harm than good,
Depends on the people maybe.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

To convert and retreat, applies the same for many a cause maybe,
Send people out to gain people, power, and land.
Increase one's Enclaves, land, inner territories,
Insulate the center, while wearing away at what surrounds.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

My view is 'many creeds ought do both,
Weak and lukewarm believers, will only get converted if sent out,
Will not raise their children properly,
Will not maintain their community properly.

Strong believers, are able to maintain themselves, their descendants, and communties.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Though that's not to say what is Caesar's cannot be changed.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Really it even applies to the individual.
Common theme with some mental health, is separating oneself from bad environments.

You are what you eat, even life experiences.

“On the average, only those prisoners could keep alive who, after years of trekking from camp to camp, had lost all scruples in their fight for existence; they were prepared to use every means, honest and otherwise, even brutal force, theft, and betrayal of their friends, in order to save themselves. We who have come back, by the aid of many lucky chances or miracles - whatever one may choose to call them - we know: the best of us did not return.”
― Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning

One may want to help others,
But environment can harm oneself, and one's tribe,
Degrade morals.

Why I don't think I have to or shouldn't be religious
-->
@TheUnderdog
I'm still an atheist, I just think your logic is flawed.

Maybe people burn themselves.

"One day a man said to God, “God, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.”
God showed the man two doors. Inside the first one, in the middle of the room, was a large round table with a large pot of vegetable stew. It smelled delicious and made the man’s mouth water, but the people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful, but because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.
The man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. God said, “You have seen Hell.”
Behind the second door, the room appeared exactly the same. There was the large round table with the large pot of wonderful vegetable stew that made the man’s mouth water. The people had the same long-handled spoons, but they were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.
The man said, “I don’t understand.”
God smiled. It is simple, he said, Love only requires one skill. These people learned early on to share and feed one another. While the greedy only think of themselves…"

Hell can be the choices of an individual,
Self destructive,
Vicious world view, being an enemy to everyone, having enemies everywhere,
No comfort but self, but in greed, material, and cruel thoughts.
Bed of nails and glass.

Lot of game theory works in the Bible, to my view.

Lot of values that deal with empathy,
Lot of people care about empathy, care about others and their pain,
'Basic human concept.

"The reason why I say that all humans have hearts that are not unfeeling toward others is this. Suppose someone suddenly saw a child about to fall into a well: anyone in such a situation would have a feeling of alarm and compassion—not because one sought to get in good with the child’s parents, not because one wanted fame among one’s neighbors and friends, and not because one would dislike the sound of the child’s cries. From this we can see that if one is without the feeling of compassion, one is not human. (Mengzi 2A6; Van Norden 2008, 46)"

And I thought people usually took that story as a sign of Gods intervention,
A miracle, for a couple so long not having children, to have kids in their old age,
Miracle by the act of God, some might view it,
Nothing impossible for God.

17Abraham fell facedown. Then he laughed and said to himself, “Can a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Can Sarah give birth at the age of ninety?” 18And Abraham said to God, “O that Ishmael might live under Your blessing!”

Sarah Laughs at the Promise
9“Where is your wife Sarah?” they asked.
“There, in the tent,” he replied.
10Then the LORD said, “I will surely return to you at this time next year, and your wife Sarah will have a son!”
Now Sarah was behind him, listening at the entrance to the tent. 11And Abraham and Sarah were already old and well along in years; Sarah had passed the age of childbearing. 12So she laughed to herself, saying, “After I am worn out and my master is old, will I now have this pleasure?”
13And the LORD asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Can I really bear a child when I am old?’ 14Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you—in about a year—and Sarah will have a son.”

'Might be the reasons we've suggested, hard for me to tell,
I'm mistaken often enough in life.

Just scenes and sections are nice sometimes,
Being able to repeat every book or movie one has seen verbatim, would be quite a feat,
Though I'm sure many people could manage 'some select movies or books verbatim, if they tried.

But as I said, I'm pretty happy just thinking on sections or scenes sometimes.

What types of book sections, do you like memorizing?

Yes,
But I don't do it as much as I would like to.

Still it's enjoyable,
To remember a passage in detail,
To relive it's moment,
Or state it in argument.
