It would be pretty cool if one could make a world of random procedurally generated cultures on world,
But beyond me at the moment,
Current plan is to put cultures, fantasy races on world,
This area icelike, this area centaurs, giants, necromancers, cannibals, so on.
There 'would be streets one walks through in parts,
Cities, villages.
For design I'm thinking more of a 2D looking world,
Straw Hat Samurai Duels, Castlevania, Mario,
World would be separated into a grid,
Character sets path on map on where to travel,
Then travels right, passing from location to location.
Though I'd like to do something like EV Nova, but with ships and wind, for the oceans.

If refusing to use a person's pronoun is considered hate speech,
The implication is that their pronoun is 'true/normal,
Implication is that individual will be punished for not pretending to believe in same ideals as pronoun pushers.
If you can use the odd example for abortion and murder. . .
Though I've not looked into these sources in depth, and don't care for the first two websites, of the third I don't know anything of,
I'll admit my view is more hearsay, than fact.
But I'm doubtful that 'nobody is advocating for sex change in kids.
Gay man with breast implants and an evening gown. . .
So do they like women or men?
Wouldn't they only be gay if they like women? If they truly 'were a woman?
But they're 'not a woman, as you put it, they're,
a "man with breast implants and an evening gown."
It's a bizarre circumstance, but a man's a man.
Probably be best if they use a third bathroom,
People make choices,

If people are going to be whatever they 'feel like,
Then one might as well remove all separations,
Remove separations in sports of age, sex, weight,
Simply merge all sex separated lavatories, bath houses, changing rooms, living spaces in dorms and military barracks.
On other view though,
There are individuals who have finished college, or gone to war at a young age.
But even that's not much of an argument, we don't define soldier or college student by age 'quite,
Sure we have commonheld expectations of age in college, school, and sometimes advance or delay individuals based on their ability, though there's also the aspect of lack maturity in regard to older peers, easier to manipulate and question of their 'own will in the matter or understanding, socialization possibly suffering if too far advanced.
Sure we have commonheld expectations of age of soldiers, due to having enough breathing room militarily speaking to not 'need more soldiers, war often being stress-full damaging even to mature individuals, again aspect of lack maturity in regard to older peers, easier to manipulate and question of their 'own will in the matter or understanding, socialization possibly suffering if too far advanced.
Hm, probably other things I've not mentioned,
People are 'born to their sex however,
Unlike roles one takes,
Though sure one can argue that behavior, perception, body can be altered to degrees.
I'm not much convinced of trans arguments myself,
Though my disagreement is admittedly more at the far ends,
Disagreement of the law being used to force pronouns out of me,
Disagreement of the law being used to force me to claim X as normal, true, or desirable,
Disagreement of the law allowing normal children to be operated upon.
Though I'd also be in disagreement of,
Government being used to force people into treatment, ex Alan Turing - Wikipedia
Government placing giving individuals public badges, Jewish Badge: During the Nazi Era | Holocaust Encyclopedia (ushmm.org)
Government denying individuals a voice to speak their cause or beliefs.

I'm sure you realize I'm talking about recreation street drug meth.
Advocating hormone injections and sex changes in children is 'not normal,
I had a male coworker who wore a kilt to work a number of times, I thought bit weird in this cultural context, but I don't really care.
Eh, if I was a jury member, I'd vote to convict a person of 'something, if they intentionally lied to lead another to their death.
So 'legally 'is the intended sense,
Grays though.
I'm aware there are limits to knowledge,
Most of us don't need to go patting around women's crotches like Goku,
It's not about the limits of knowledge,
Many parts of life don't have perfect knowledge,
My family could have been replaced by clones, how would I know,
But such an absurdity of lack knowledge doesn't need to be addressed.

I don't want to live in a society that normalizes pedophilia or bestiality, meth use,
And claims that such actions are 'good, normal, beneficial.
It doesn't matter if they don't happen to me.
I still wouldn't 'like it, if it developed in a 'different society,
But if it happens in 'MY society,
I've a stronger obligation to oppose it.

A brain tumor can tell a person to kill people,
Doesn't make it 'normal or desirable.
And arguably, I'd say people are bothered less by people born with genetic defects in body, or scientifically identifiably 'material brain disorders,
Than they are by people who 'normalize sex changes for 'normal people.

Suppose one had a globe sized video game,
As in many different groups and cultures,
Would it be better to randomize colors and features of the groups?
Or to give them distinct features?
Even if one randomizes,
I'm not talented enough to randomize culture as well,
Plus it seems a bit wacky to randomize culture, to me.
Sure America and a number of other nations are relatively diverse, even homogonous nations having diversity,
But part of the 'appeal of fantasy in my mind is giving areas a 'theme,
Sure McDonalds may be next to Thai Food in some American food district,
But fantasy again, tends to theme,
Even in sci fi, Klingon design, Federation design, Vulcan, Romulan.
I suppose I only bring it up because I've noticed some people want avatars or npcs that represent them, though it goes at odds with themes at times.
Just random musing.

Say there are three doors in a zoo, and I lie to an individual, telling them that the trapdoor to the Tiger Pit is the bathroom,
How do I need a citation?
Free Speech doesn't need to be black and white,
There's gray, exceptions,
It's like that blasted abortion disagreement this site had a bit ago,
People fall into the gray more than the extremes, I 'think,
It's absurd to go about life in black and white morality/
There's a reason men and women are separated to a degree in society, 'beyond weight.
The point is that Mike Tyson would have to actually 'be bantam weight,
He couldn't just 'say he was because he 'felt like it,
And as current technology goes, a normal human man can't be made into a woman or vice versa, I think.

It's a bit off topic, but I suppose I'd understand compelled speech if it were a nation built around and 'of an idea,
Such as if America 'was a Theocratic state,, requiring an oath before God for public officials when taking office,
Would 'limit the country though, to Christians, thus limiting talent, which would be bad,
Though argument can be made for homogeneity,
And I 'greatly dislike how items such as the pledge of allegiance trivialize oaths and by such make them meaningless.
I can't say I view America 'as a pure Theocratic state currently though,
Though it's not the separation between church and state that I say this,
Even with such a separation, I think religion could have a heavy enough pull that people 'still make laws and expectations around it,
Number of monarchies, even when they had power, monarchs and people still steeped in religion.
Not saying I 'want America to be a Theocratic state,
Just that if a nation were founded or 'of enough people who believe certain concepts, an 'amount of compelled speech would be required,
A lesser example would be no cursing in school.
People can 'call 'themselves what they wish,
But,
We can't have male or female prisoners going to the wrong prison, just because they 'say they're the opposite sex,
We can't have Mike Tyson competing in the Bantam weights, just because he 'says he weighs 116 pounds.
It's not right for someone to lie to their partner and claim to be the opposite sex when getting married.
A 'degree of forced speech is necessary, such as if a person when asked, claims there is no fire in a building when there is, and a bunch of people die.

Well, if I was looking at it from the other side,
I might suppose some 'parts of ancient societies, Romans, Greeks, had the idea of there being a dominant and a submissive part, in male homosexual relationships,
But so far as I know, submissive 'still wouldn't be women.
Used to be in America, we used to view women more often in the caretaker/home role,
But even if there was a guy in such a role, they still wouldn't be a woman, and people wouldn't view them as such, though maybe the guy feels his honor hit, if not taking his expected role.
I suppose eunuchs, lose a bit of their maleness,
Thought being so they can guard a harem without people worrying about the women's chastity, or so they don't have kids and harbor ambitions of taking power.
But they'd 'still be a guy to my thinking, just a guy missing his reproductive parts.
Hm,
Looking at it 'farther on the other side, it's true that there are individuals born or raised in either social or medical confusion as the opposite sex or both,
Androgen insensitivity syndrome: MedlinePlus Genetics for instance.
But I see such as an 'exception, and not the topic of debate usually, in which people argue it's normal for men/women who are physically 'obviously their sex, to have a 'sex 'change 'operation.
There's even various arguments for the operation, some arguing it's about choice, some arguing it's in their brain and they 'have to have it.
Though what 'really bothers people against normalizing trans operations, is people who encourage it on kids who are physically 'obviously their sex.
. . .
I think Jordan Peterson said he's willing to use someone's pronoun if asked, but is heavily against the refusal to do so being lawfully made a hate crime.

Sure nonsense has 'explanations,
But they're 'still absurd, abnormal, incorrect.
My second brother's nonsense can mostly be attributed to his drug abuse effecting his brain,
Lars and the Real Girl (Fictional movie) can be attributed to deep rooted psychological issues.
I don't pretend that I believe in random theists deities.
I don't see a need to believe that random trans are what they are not. (From my point of view)
People can believe 'themselves what they are,
But if a theist kept insisting to me that I need to call their deity real and the one true deity in conversation, I'd probably avoid talking with them so much.
. . .
Or flat earthers, need I say yes the world is flat, in conversation with them?
Because their feelings will be hurt if I don't play along?
. . .
Tolerating individuals and/or groups, isn't the same as adopting their beliefs.

I 'could give a list of Nobel Prize Winners who were religious or had religious background,
But it wouldn't prove atheists or theists being more intelligent,
Though maybe you're just trying to say atheists are capable of intelligence, rather than saying atheists are 'more intelligent,
Anyway,
Should my takeaway be that Americans are more intelligent than other country?
No, no it should not.
Should my takeaway be that men are more intelligent than other women?
No, no it should not.
Statistics 'can be telling,
But they can also be assumption,
They're more often to my mind, just information, more often 'part of enough information to reach a conclusion.
So often there's always context, other statistics, variables that 'cause ends.

If we raise it so high that they 'leave,

I agree with Double_R, that people work within a system,
Though sometimes that system does everything it can to 'prevent one from succeeding, or is only there to 'claim it did anything important, or other times certain system 'shouldn't exist.
. . . The State generally offers safety, army, police force,
Though I suppose one could argue individuals could handle that on their own, that's a bit more the creation of their 'own State, maybe.
The State regulates health, trade,
Though people could regulate such 'themselves. . .
Grumble,
Hm, it's not so much working 'in the system, as one works 'under the system, maybe,
And as such the State/System expects/demands tribute.
But anyway,
. . .
Suppose that there is a bushel of apples across a river filled with crocodiles,
And one individual risks his life swimming across,
Does he not 'deserve said food?
Even if other people are hungry?
If he were to swim back, the others would likely 'take at least an equal portion per person,
And that's understandable,
Hm, but what does 'deserve mean anyway?
Certainly by virtue of being human, one could argue people have an obligation towards others, though not everyone agrees.
And certainly people don't risk so much as the river of crocodiles often when making their money,
Or even if they 'did risk life and limb,
Money is easier/safer made, once one has made money, I imagine.
Just rambling.

Still haven't voted for Trump once so far, myself,
And I don't consider his actions something in his favor,
I just don't see it as treason, or something to burst into hysterics over, or pretend as though politicians don't frequently act underhanded in politics.
Again, I see it as a 'negative for Trumps character, but if the people and legislature choose to elect him next time, so be it.
- 1792 New York gubernatorial election – The Federalist Party candidate John Jay received more votes than the Democratic-Republican Party candidate George Clinton, but on technicalities, the votes of Otsego, Tioga and Clinton counties were rejected, giving George Clinton a slight majority in the official result.
- 1824 United States presidential election - John Quincy Adams became President after winning a contingent election in the House of Representatives due to the absence of an absolute majority in the Electoral College, despite the fact that Andrew Jackson (who would win the 1828 presidential election) won a plurality of the popular and electoral vote.
- Bleeding Kansas election, March 30, 1855 – An election to decide whether Kansas should be a free state or a slave state involved massive immigration to sway the vote and resulted in post-election violence, including a severe beating of a US Senator by a Congressman. The events it encompasses directly presaged the American Civil War. (See Kansas–Nebraska Act)
- 1876 United States presidential election – One of the most disputed and controversial presidential elections in American history between the Democratic Party's candidate Samuel J. Tilden and the Republican Party's candidate Rutherford B. Hayes was resolved by the Compromise of 1877, which allowed Hayes to become president in exchange for the end of Reconstruction and the withdrawal of all federal troops stationed in the South after the American Civil War. Although it is generally agreed that Tilden won a majority of the popular vote, the results of the electoral vote continue to be disputed.
- 1888 United States presidential election - The incumbent Democrat President Grover Cleveland won the popular vote, but Benjamin Harrison won the electoral vote. Cleveland would be re-elected in 1892.
- 1891 New York State Senate election in Dutchess County
- 1948 United States Senate election in Texas - Lyndon B. Johnson won the Democratic primary over Coke R. Stevenson by only 87 votes. However, Johnson was accused of voter fraud in Duval County, as it had initially appeared Stevenson had won before 200 votes were allegedly found for Johnson.
- 1960 United States presidential election[24] - Some accounts claimed that mobster Sam Giancana and his Chicago crime syndicate played a role in Kennedy's victory in Illinois.[24]"
Not necessarily all true,
But would anyone have me believe that 'only these few are examples of politics in America, only what I see and hear?
It's the accepted standard of politics, though exceptions exist,
Politicians wheel and deal, make backroom agreements,
Look for technicalities and loopholes,
Appeal to the public, stoking their passions and beliefs.
I 'don't see it as a boon or something I like,
But the Left acts as though Trump is some exceptional dread, as though he's the next Hitler,
'Might be he would, if he easily had the power and context,
But he doesn't and he won't.
Plenty of Democrats would take our guns, force their views into our schools and indoctrinate with their views, imprison people for not respecting transgender athletes or thinking -
Bah, point being, it's not always a matter of what a person is themselves, but what they 'are in conjuncture with the system,
Even I'd likely be a terrible person, if given too much power.

A cup of water overflowing is material and expressive,
So is the half cup of water.
But each is different than the other.
A turning clock is different than a human.
I'm not saying consciousness is immaterial or inexpressive, quite, I think,
Though maybe I am a 'bit,
A shape or even a concept, still need 'materialization, to be in working order.
. . .
Not making an argument with below, just thoughts,
My mind goes to Osmosis Jones movie, and book called Andromeda Strain.
In book I think one of scientists early theories was that the strain was intelligent,
Ah, another book, series, My Teacher is an Alien, there was some blanket like intelligent fungus alien,
Descartes arguing animals not having souls or consciousness, was it?

Working on my fantasy genre game/story,
And just a musing on races came back, reason for post.
But I don't see why "superior or inferior" would or should matter to individuals who actively discriminate against others based on race,
To my mind, the reason people grab hold of racism, is the ingroup outgroup idea,
I imagine racists still defend weak members of their own 'race, and don't invite members of outgroup 'race to their house to meet their sister, improve their group through eugenics.
Though I suppose in stereotypes, and policies, people intentionally hire or avoid hiring certain groups,
Which would often be because of their 'notion, that one group or another is better or worse at a job.
. . .
I'm not arguing this on humans,
But in fantasy, science fiction, or animals such as dogs,
There 'are significant groups, differences, that requires a difference in what is expected of them, how one acts towards them.

They can convey information, but I'm doubtful (Not certain) that they merit the word conscious.
A glass half full contains water,
A glass and three halfs, is overflowing.
Sure a glass 3/4 also has water, but it's the 'state, the 'shape, the 'being that matters,
Maybe, I'm talking over my head here, stabs in not 'quite fully dark room.
Just being energy, or conveying information isn't enough for it to 'be consciousness.
Created:

@Reece101
But I still don't see the logic 'working,
And refer you to the wheel and the human, both made of material, energy, yet there is clearly a difference.
Some people take caffeine, claiming it makes them more aware, more conscious.
Some people don't take their anti-psychotics, claiming they are 'less aware, less conscious, when under the effect of said drugs.
So why should I 'not be more conscious than someone else?
Ah wait, just realized you meant that as an argument 'for your side,
Remove the head, what consciousness remains in the body?
Reflexes, spasms, material,
Not anything 'enough to be called 'consciousness.
Created:
Posted in:

@Reece101
We are made of material, a wheel is made of material, therefore we are wheels, and wheels are people.
The logic doesn't quite work out for me.
. . .
Shot in the dark here, but suppose there was something that didn't use neurons and electricity to work,
It used gears, interlocking shapes, abacus, runs on marbles.
Sure one might say it requires energy to move, but it that all consciousness 'is, is energy?
I don't hold that view myself,
Though I'm not 'particularly happy with consciousness being 'shape either,
But shape makes more sense to me, than consciousness is existence.
And I don't mean awareness of one's existence,
I mean a rock 'exists,
It's 'just a rock of course,
Not 'conscious, not human.

Personally I'd say guns 'can increase suicide in society, if you give someone an option they might take it, though some people do or don't regardless of the option,
It's why people are encouraged to 'take said options from themselves when suicidal, or why they are given healthy options such as a plan to call this or those friends if suicidal,
It's why there are suicide watches in hospitals even when a person has their weapons taken away, some people just determined, for the moment or long term,
Can increase war in society, hence why tyrannical governments seek to remove weapons and likelyhood of resistance.
As for crime, I'm unsure.
I'm against banning all guns from citizens of America, though.

Well, arguably I hold the same view as other atheists,
A lack of belief in deities, and further in any afterlife or souls,
Though I differ from certain vocal anti-theists, as I think belief in deities, afterlives, souls, is a reasonable enough position for a human to arrive at, though I don't hold it myself.
Perhaps I would feel different if I lived in an atheist culture.
But this relates to transgenderism I suppose,
In that like belief in deities, I believe transgenderism to be mistaken,
Perhaps the differences is that I don't think transgenderism to be a reasonable position to hold,
But maybe that is just a preconceived stance I have, due to my experiences,
Perhaps religion and transgenderism are both as reasonable or unreasonable, though I don't 'see it as such.

Fair point,
Yet some songs seem so popular, it 'seems to me like it'd be worth it, to translate entire bands songs into different languages, even if bits of meaning are lost.
Though I say worth it in terms of money, there 'are also a number of songs I enjoy that are from another language, or are English to a different language.
