The moment people stop needing you is when they will abandon you. People who are your "friends" in real life are just so due to some circumstances. The only friend I have is God alone. People are not my friends. People have always betrayed me. But God never betrayed me. Do not think that you have friends. Your friends just like your use value, not you. They are with you because it is useful to. I noticed many times that no one is my friend really. And I have to pretend to be someone's friend even tho I dont love anyone. I don't get the complaint, Destruction was always the offensive school of magic.
The problem is that other schools are useless.
Alteration is for protecting you from claws and tail swipes and dragon fire.
It is useless unless you have tons of extra mana which you wont have until much later in game.
It's pretty common for devs to make you unable to perform effects like Calm, Paralyze, and whatnot on high-tier enemies
Thats the problem there. Destruction school HAS paralyze/stun which works on Dragons and everything. Other magic schools are a waste of time.
In Two Worlds, you start as very weak but eventually become God who can stun anyone forever and destroy them completely. In Skyrim, you are always weak mage if you play on hardest difficulty.
