@ILikePie5
For Lunatic, I suppose so. For Barney? I don’t know.

“Frozen heart” could also be a euphemism for sorrow and bitterness.

The specifics of a theory being wrong does not render a whole theory obsolete. Just remember that.

GP is not clear. A quick google search reveals “Jesus’ frozen heart” may have something to do with a myocardial infarction… so, something about His death. I thought it was some morbid conspiracy theory, but mortality would’ve been a theme regardless.
Note that when I say mortality is a theme, it doesn’t have to be THE theme. Multiple different angles to approach the theme split, but it’s something down those lines.
Anyway, you think Joebob borrowed a fake claim from something the scum team actually had, correct?

@ILikePie5
The theme seems to be something to do with mortality at the very least. Barney is still implicated, so is Lunatic.

Something like that. it’s in Joebob’s PM if you check the diary thread Wylted made

@ILikePie5
Sure, “may,” but my point was that it definitely targets teammates

@ILikePie5
Eh maybe, but it assumes Luna and Barney both lied about NP1 at a minimum
A very fair assumption as far as I’m concerned. I would’ve rb’ed Austin NP1 in scum’s shoes, assuming Austin is town. Probably was the case since am Austin isn’t implicated by theme and I dont have a real reason to scumread.
Did Barney claim he was blocked early in DP2?

Going off theme, I’m more willing to lynch Barney than Whiteflame. I agree Lunatic should have the chance, although I doubt it’s gonna happen. I also don’t see the point in neighborizer with your role.

@ILikePie5
The teammate part is a major assumption though.
“You’re friends will never leave the bucket” iirc

@ILikePie5
I think mine is more likely.
Ignoring how inventive such an idea would be… Doesn’t your theory assume GP is scum? If so, why is there a crab god at all?
Created:

Although would that make it more of an active role? I’d just be a hidden random compulsive roleblocker
Created:

@ILikePie5
I think it’s more plausible if it just randomly roleblocks a teammate

@ILikePie5
I suspect Lunatic is the role stealer, although that changes with a scumread on GP. Haven’t given much thought on Barney’s.

Oh yeah. Now I definitely want to make sure to use all our time this DP.
I’m going somewhere. I’m unlikely to say anything for the next several hours. Kinda wanna take my mind off the game for the rest of the day, but I know I can’t do that so I’ll at least observe to keep tabs.
Good luck with your investigation Pie.

@Barney
If it’s been stolen, killing GP (who refuses to explain basic things like his defense of JoeBob) tells us what the role is.
One mislynch ends the game for us. I really don’t like this argument from you.

Ya know what scum really could’ve done to screw Lunatic over? Redirect him to Pie or Savant and kill me. I think town would then be questioning him on why I wasn’t protected.

Barney’s read on Greyparrot is weird. Looks manufactured and it’s a behavioral thing I scumread him for.
But scum wouldnt risk themselves in such a read, would they? Could be a distance play.
Created:

Greyparrot’s reads from last DP
-Joebob: Town
- Whiteflame: scum
-Barney: scum

@ILikePie5
He literally died and came back. Everyone knew he was confirmed.

Another thought: Crab God sounds like negative utility. Why would scum want to steal it? I assumed they had to because they wanted some power, although now I wonder if the whole thing really was a ruse.

@ILikePie5
Savant would be open by that logic as well. Why not shoot him? Especially if they covered me with a role block.
Created:
Posted in:
Y’know, if the scum team was interested in screwing over Lunatic this DP, they would’ve gotten a kill through. Lunatic said he targeted Pie last DP, were they betting on him targeting anyone but Pie last NP? Otherwise, they had the option of me, Savant, and potentially Austin or Greyparrot.

@ILikePie5
I assume roleblock, and I would not be shocked if it came from the crab god on NP1

NP1: “Your night action failed.”
NP2: “In the shadows of the night, I see a tangled fate unfold. One seeks to disrupt, but their efforts are tangled by unseen hands. A restless spirit tries to act, but is held fast by the web of fate, their actions stilled. Nearby, another moves, their intentions unclear, yet they hold the power to stop, to bind. One name stands frozen in the web, unable to escape their bindings—Barney, trapped in stillness. And beside him, a figure with a wild heart, silent in the night... Lunatic, whose hand unknowingly weaves the threads of delay."
NP3: “In the quiet of the night, no footsteps echoed, no shadows moved. A pair stood still, like statues, in a world that kept turning, untouched by the whispers of the world. Their hands stayed empty, their hearts still. No actions were taken, only silence shared between them.”

@ILikePie5
How do you figure that? If Lunatic stole negative utility from GP, I could have resulted in the roleblock in Barney.

@ILikePie5
So that’s why you haven’t cleared Greyparrot yet. Interesting.

Ok it’s not death copes, but [Christianity’s compatibility with radical life extension]. That seems to be the theme.
Which actually means Austin isn’t implicated by the theme and someone is lying about their character.
Barney is implicated by theme and Lunatic probably is too, however. I think your frozen Jesus theory is interesting.
I do think that would point to Whiteflame sooner than it would to GP, if one of the two is lying about character.
And yet, the safer option is still between Barney and Lunatic. I think that it’s gonna be Barney for me.

I think we should lock in our lynch tomorrow and use this whole day to discuss

@ILikePie5
I guess we should think about if Whiteflame is lying about his character
Created:

@ILikePie5
The theme is clearly death copes vs all else.
Whiteflame’s character isn’t a death cope. Rather, Austin, Barney and Lunatic’s are.
I don’t want to chance Austin today, but I want to go between Lunatic and Barney today.

@ILikePie5
No, but that would’ve been smart of me, come to think of it. I went for Lunatic and Austin. Guess you’re just smarter than me lol

Earlier, I asked you all what you would have predicted scum for scum’s actions last night. My answer? I would have predicted scum waive the kill, and roleblock me.
The underlying assumption is Whiteflame-Lunatic-Barney. The idea is that because they are pinned in the PoE I listed from last DP (and that Pie and Austin agreed to, with Greyparrot willing to sheep Pie’s vote) they needed to do something drastic.
That is why my first of two targets was Lunatic.
Of course, the scum team would see this coming. Because I think Lunatic is our bioengineering, rolestealing crab god, I think the scum team has an incentive to roleblock me. Sure, it keep me suspicious of Lunatic, but it’s better to at least cast some doubt. As I said, I believe crab god randomly roleblocks a teammate.
Faced with the knowledge that I was going to be roleblocked, I was still fine with going for Lunatic, putting them in a situation where if they somehow didn’t roleblock me, they were punished for it.
For my other target, I selected Austin. Since I felt Whiteflame and Barney were heavily implicated, I wanted to cover for the outside chance Austin was scum. It was risky since I didn’t know what “legendary” did, but I figured since there was low odds of me getting the action off, I might as well play the odds.
So, imagine my shock when it got this in return:
“In the quiet of the night, no footsteps echoed, no shadows moved. A pair stood still, like statues, in a world that kept turning, untouched by the whispers of the world. Their hands stayed empty, their hearts still. No actions were taken, only silence shared between them.”
My first thought was that if they didn’t roleblock me, scum must’ve waived all night actions. It would still implicate Lunatic since I knew he’d claim to block the NK, but it wasn’t what I was expecting.
But then I saw the start of the DP and saw Joebob’s role. I asked Wylted what he meant by “control how someone’s actions are used” and I learned that Joebob’s role is a redirect.
Armed with this knowledge, I realized that I was almost correct about the roleblock- it’s a redirect instead. Lunatic is still in doubt, despite my results.
And who was I redirected to? Savant and Pie, since both were guaranteed not to have a night actions that night. I don’t think scum wanted to redirect me to anyone else but those two. Every other possible redirect in this game has a drawback. Hell, they could’ve redirected both my shots to Pie or Savant.
There’s no doubt in my mind they simply wasted my role last night. Btw, this is why I was playing hardball with Austin earlier. I knew I couldn’t trust my results.
