Yk, I don’t like Pie’s behavior. Especially with regards to how he reacted to Banana’s claim. Based on what Pie is softing, one would think he’d be confident CCing her, especially after scumreading her so hard. It’s worth noting that there’s scum alternatives to whatever ability he’s going to claim tomorrow as well.
And yet, I can’t help but think of the logical consequences of Pie being town. It would completely invalidate Banana’s claim in my book.
It’s worth noting that between Pie, Banana, and I, there would potentially be three roles that investigate a players’ night actions. I was quick to believe Banana’s claim because it was a rather weak role, much like mine. But I suppose it’s not out of the question for Lunatic to pair a stronger role with a weaker one, in which case Pie’s claim is more likely to be paired with mine than Banana’s.
It’s also worth noting that Banana and I have roles that gather the same information, just in different ways. That synergy between our roles, could also be a conflict. Perhaps I should be CCing Banana, not Pie. I’ll say this: I’m at least willing to say I’m soft CCing one of them.
But if Banana is fake claiming, what is the scum alternative to her character?

I could honestly see this as a mafia JOAT. I’ve listened to this song before. The song goes on to describe various things one can do on the internet, which could be taken as a list of possible JOAT abilities.
Finally, if her claim is fake, it means mafia had a claim ready. This probably means Banana got help.
Remember Casey’s earlier point about Whiteflame? I do. Whiteflame pushed Banana for a claim, but didn’t vote. This was before Casey and Wylted put votes on her.
I could see a Whiteflame-Banana team under this lens. This is the third time Whiteflame has come up in one of my theories. First it was Casey-Whiteflame, then it was Pie-Whiteflame, and now it’s this one.
While there’s still debate to be had about Banana vs Pie, I’m looking at the big picture and seeing all roads lead to Whiteflame.

1. It’s a “noooooo don’t lynch me” type of claim
2. In both Banana and Pie’s claims, justifications up to this point have referred to lyrics in the song. Mine does as well. Whiteflame’s claim does not.
3. This is another negative town utility role, and a strong one at that. Casey already claimed one and her behavior creates a much stronger town argument for her imo. Two negative town roles may be possible, but with one of them being that punishing… it’s hard to see that.
4. If Whiteflame’s role really is true, he has a better shot at hitting scum if he keeps it a secret. Letting himself get lynched is the better play if a late wagon is formed on him imo. Because his behavior doesn’t match the role, I’m inclined to think he’s lying about it.

TBH I have a slight scumleaning on all the players who aren't very interested in my lynch. Scum don't generally want neg town utility players out DP1, or even at all before MYLO/LYLO if they can help it. The fact that WF doesn't seem to care about me at all is actually a bad sign in my book.
I am feeling a bit better about you and trusting this more. Whiteflame is a high scumread for me, and this is just another good point

That's confusing to me as well. I don't fully understand what's going on there, but at the same time, I think it would be anti-town to openly speculate too much.I don't think Pie is going to claim further today. If we're going to push someone else for a claim, I think it ought to be Whiteflame. I still have a town leaning on Owen (albeit mostly a gutread) but WF is still very null to me.
oh and about this, this is more or less my mindset... although I would be open-minded to Pie as scum if I were you, given what I said in post 326

12 hours left... that gives 4 hours to secure a lynch in the morning, if I get 8 hours of sleep. Obvious math is obvious, and I'll have to rely on same owls and early birds if I want a lynch that'll get me some information that'll help solve this gamer, hopefully get a successful lynch on scum as well.
So here is my message for the rest of town: If you can't figure anything out, I'll guess we can lynch Casey, as she's proposed. However, I would like for you guys to look into Whiteflame and Pie. My alarm bells are back on Pie, and I'm really not liking Whiteflame rn.
One more thing: Between Banana, Pie, and I... it doesn't look like there's room for the three of us.

It's really late in the DP and we need to lynch someone in the morning. I kinda want to pressure Whiteflame for a claim; I don't think we're looking into him enough. Everything he has done this game is just super convenient for him if he's scum.
I also don't understand why Pie is holding off pushing for a Banana lynch, given what he just said. If I'm picking up what he's putting down, I reckon it'd be a good tradeoff from his perspective is Banana got lynched.

I'd agree if this was in DP2-3. But in DP1 I can't say I've seen him use the meta
I guess the argument here is that he'll only get a temporary pass for lynching a TI, and that he needs less DP's to maximize the temp cred he'll get for saying "not my fault this person got lynched for playing like an idiot."?

Thought I will say, I have a slight town read on Pie. I feel like his kind of relentless pressure reads a bit more into his town play rather than his scum play. Plus I feel like if he was scum would've said/done something as scum when he was with gf to not draw the inactivity off him. Idk this is just a gut feeling for that part.
I don't really agree with either of these points. If he's dedicated to the girl enough to not post a morsel as town, I don't think he'd do it as scum. As for relentless pressure, no. Pie is bold and will fight tooth and nail for mislynches and blame the mislynch on Banana's town idiocy the next DP. It's very common for scum to use TIs like this and I know Pie has done it before.

Pushing people to be active by getting them to claim makes it so that since they are inactive, they will have a harder time thinking of a claim if they are scum. If they aren't active, then you lynch dead weight. Scum reading for activity is scummy and anti town. And Pie's basis for voting you is not just because he voted youI think everyone should at least take note of what Vader is saying here. I know I am.
Then again, I will say that taking notes on why Banana's reason on Pie was bad to start with doesn't necessarily justify a scumread of its own. I do ultimately expect more logical pushes from Pie than I do Banana.
I've seen Pie uses TIs for pushes a lot, so I'm not gonna put it past him to be using Banana here.
