Agree. Without her, this game would have gone very differently.

Any feedback for my play? Something I did well, something I could improve on?

But yeah. For me it was between you and Pie so I guess you are right. I probably would have gotten around to lynching you at some point.

@Speedrace
I mean maybe, but I was all set to lynch Pie before you did that.

The only thing that even got me to suspect you was that TP claim. You could've won, we would not have zeroed in on you for "Speed is always scum," that was a joke. Or at least, I wouldn't have.

@Speedrace
Also, if someone is a recruiter in the future, pick literally anyone except me please. I don’t want to keep losing to the logic of “of course they’ll pick Speed”
LITERALLY not what it was. I gave a pristine case as to why you were scum.

Hammer hammer hammer hammer hammer.
#1 rule of mafia: Speed is scum.

@Speedrace
If he only gave role then he would leave it up to the recruited to make their own character, it's not as if their original character would be linked to the role.
All your little quandaries are instantly solved by Lunatic simply preparing roleblocker and role cop roles ahead of time (woah! crazy i know), which explains why:
A. Oromagi, who knew nothing about Death Note, had a good rolecop role from the getgo and was very obviously hinting at it.
B. You, who apparently knows nothing about your character, got a good roleblocker role (you simply got it as soon as he recruited you).
Did Luna even say there's a theme split?
No, but there is a very obvious one that we just uncovered, and there is no true reason to believe their isn't one.
"Block the senses of his opponent" that's the biggest stretch I've ever seen XD, and roleblocking doesn't lead to death. People who are RBd usually don't die
No it isn't. Literally all roles are based on some form of metaphor or another. Mine is, Oromagi's was, Supa's was, Danielle's was, need I go on?
Created:

@Speedrace
It's a very good justification. He used a curse to block the senses of his opponent, resulting in their death.

I'm really failing to see how Speed's objection actually changes things. He says that the new scum would keep their original character. That is not indicated anywhere in Oro's PM, and it also logically does not make sense. I don't think Lunatic would mod that way, because it would create inconsistencies between characters and their roles.
I agree with Pie that Lunatic probably just gave Speed a whole new role and justification fitting the theme split.

@Speedrace
But anyway, I agree with Pie that Lunatic probably just gave you a whole new role and justification fitting the theme split.

@Speedrace
My logic shows that there is actually no theme split
No it does not. I don't think being recruited as scum makes you a power role. It probably makes you a vanilla scum.
If that is the case, scum starting with only a recruiter is terribly unbalanced. It makes sense to have you as roleblocker, with that starting theme split.
Created:
Posted in:

@Speedrace
This actually made me realize, doesn't character not matter? Because the person recruited keeps their own character if they're recruited meaning no theme split
I don't think it's even a given that there is only 1 scum left, or that there started out as 1 scum. Either way, we've got a solid theme split, and I want to investigate it
Created:

@ILikePie5
Yeah it doesn't add up. I think he did it for town cred with me.
Created:

The theme split is the ability to curse people and kill them.

@ILikePie5
Something just clicked. I get it now. The Deathnote character was able to kill people by cursing them. So was Speed's character.
and recount the entire case I just laid out:
Potential scum slip here:"lyncher because I cursed someone named Bradley to death by god"The "person named Bradley" was the King of the entire country and one of the "primary antagonists in the Fullmetal Alchemist series, being that he is one of the seven Homunculi."This would be a crucial detail in Speed's justification. On the other hand, if speed was simply looking for a quick justification from the Wiki, it says:Lowe tells Bradley that "God's wrath will smite you for your wickedness" a prophecy that ironically comes to pass when he is blinded by the sun (symbol of god) and subsequently killed by Scar, the self-styled "wrath of God".The details about Bradley being King are more hidden.Speed can not be TP, because I targeted him. It only leaves him as scum. The potential justification for him being roleblocker is:"a prophecy that ironically comes to pass when he is blinded by the sun (symbol of god) and subsequently killed by Scar, the self-styled "wrath of God".This is a pretty good metaphor for roleblocking (blinding) and then subsequently nightkilling as scum.
VTL Speed.

This is actually a fair point.
UNVOTE.
I'd say with pretty high certainty, if you are not scum you are TP, but I'd rather deal with scum first, then deal with TP.

@ILikePie5
Garou was always a "bad person," but power corrupted him. That could be the theme.
Created:

That leavesWarrenSpeedPieCroc
I agree. But I think we can cross off Warren and Croc. Because like Pie said, Croc wouldn't be my choice as a scum recruiter Oromagi, and Warren is most likely town due to my reasoning above....
So that leaves
Speed and Pie. Pie has been implicated by his role. If not him, Speed.
It could be that Speed is TP, Pie is scum, or vice versa.
Either way, VTL Pie.

@Speedrace
Pie's character is a villain, and he sort of fits the theme of being corrupted/overtaken by power.
Created:

@Speedrace
The "Light Yagami" character is the protagonist of the Death Note series. That means he is the main character, NOT that he is necessarily good or bad. From what I know, he starts off good, and ends up evil. Maybe that is the theme split?

As for hammering Warren, I get that is could've been a gambit, but it makes no sense.
Didn't everyone see this post by Oromagi?
"The Gramps will each night passively learn the role of one random player visiting them. If no one visits the Gramps on any given night, the Gramps learns nothing. Additionally, the Gramps has immunity against all forms of night or day kills and can only die if lynched. This role is always mafia-aligned. It's essentially a mix between a Bulletproof and a Psychic. It's considered to be very powerful and will sometimes have restrictions on its immunity against kills."I've never seen a gramps before and I only just read the important part when I was linking to wikialways mafiaSo Bear+Warren42 + maybe TP in Chris/Supa
If warren was scum, Oro tried to bus him hard with that MafiaUniverse citation.
Why would Oro be so willing to throw Warren under the bus if they were scum partners, especially since evidently the scum team pretty much accepted Oro's execution?
He literally said:
I agree but there's not much case to make. I don't trust ROLE COP claims as TOWN myself.
Why is everyone so quick to buy this? Oromagi doesn't seem like the type of scum player to, on verge of being lynched, throw their partner under the bus to save themselves. It doesn't make sense as a tactic. It was almost a given he would die that day phase, and casting extra doubt on Warren would inevitably lead to that lynch as well, making them even worse off.
My theory is, Warren was town, and Oro was grasping at straws for one last mislynch. BTW, Gramps is not considered to be a mafia exclusive role in Drafterman's list.

Actually, I targeted you Speed (I deduced it was between you, Pie, and Croc, so it was pretty much gut feeling and luck of the draw)

You don't structure that differently, he just makes it look prettier, you make it look chunkier as you mimicked Oromagi.
I'd say I've drawn inspiration from Oromagi's style, but I think by now I've made my own more unique style. Sort of a fusion between Ragnar and Oromagi's cases.
But yeah, chunkier

I'd have to examine his arguments more closely to see if that's true, so I'll take your word for it. We structure our cases very different but the arguments themselves may be very similar

Definitely not. If so, you would only be below Ragnar at most. Even though I'd say I've improved substantially since last time we debated, you'd still whup my tooshie I think. We will have to rematch sometime on a cool topic.
