I don’t think anything you said was wrong: however, if you fell in love with a man that turned out to be an incredibly convincing woman; are you attracted to them inspire if or because of their maleness?

That wasn’t my mother; I paid Haley Joel Osmet $10 and 20 McNuggets to dress in drag.

He told me there wasnt enough barbeque sauce in the world to make him do it again.

It depends how you tested it; I think everyone would qualify as a little bit gay the test involved Tom Hardy, Cadbury’s chocolate and a well lubricated spatula.

1.) I put this here to deliberately annoy you personally.

2.) I suck balls because I have the ability and I like the taste.

On a side note: you do not suck balls, because even a dog; after eating three day old street vomit, old grass clippings  then licking themselves; would likely question the hygiene of letting their testicles anywhere near your festering maw.

Theres probably no reason at all, it’s just a coincidence.

why is it 0.511 x 207; that presumes those numbers are special.

why not 0.627, 482?

I went to school in the UK - so we’re not as big in debate.

I was in one formal debate when I was 12 that was informally judged by a show of hands from other students: the topic was “homework should be banned”, my opponent was a popular kid, who’s aff was basically “homework sucks”, so surface it to say my team lost.

Turns out the guy now has a minimum wage Job, so I’m not bitter about it at all any more. Fuck you Jason.

I swear I have heard that question on an AMA before...

So, given ducks are easily puntable, I would go for ten duck sized horses; unless I happened to have bread about my person; in which case I’d fight the horse sized duck, feed it bread and then wait for it die of heart disease.

I approach the world abductively. I was brought up hard core catholic, and ended up; and went through a long time trying to make God make sense to explain what we see around us. Nothing made sense.

In 1998/9 I played a computer game called Everquest, I started using my sisters account using an auto generated character name called Ramshu. I then got my own account and created a second character called Ramshutu... get it? :P

ive been boring and used it ever sin s

That game was awesome; Ramshutu was a top 5 ranger in the day on my server, with more than one or two Leroy moments before it was cool :)

So; here’s the problem. They’re not really different things in any meaningful context.

In both cases a “life” is being ended by the action or inaction of another. Simply repeatedly processing that they are different things doesn’t make it
true.

An unborn fetus is neither a baby, nor a person, it’s different from a born human, and so causing it to be removed, or removing it from the mother is not murder at all, and any comparison is a false analogy. See it’s easy to just assert your case.

The issues are very similar; it’s bodily autonomy, a woman has the right not to control her body, and thus decide not to be pregnant, and do so in a way that is least harmful to her.

That an organ recipient is dying anyway, and an unborn child is removed is largely an irrelevant distinction when you put the focus on the value of the life they entail. You put your own bodily autonomy rights over other people’s all the times, and in this case women are putting their bodily autonomy rights over a life does not have the sufficient properties to deserve specifics rights.

Pre-emptively declaring something that is relevant irrelevant, is not a good argument.

I asked you, specifically, why you don’t think it’s okay for the government to take your kidney, or liver.

It’s absolutely essentially to the argument; as you are placing your bodily autonomy over the life of another.

If you don’t recognize the importance of establishing where the rights of bodily autonomy begin and end, and what the government can and can’t do isn’t relevant to a discussion on bodily autonomy, then I have to question your motives

Its very relevant to the abortion debate - just not an analogy.

why do you think it’s not okay for the Government to take part of your kidney, or liver?

I’m not making an analogy.

I’m asking if you would be happy for the government to be able to take a kidney, or piece of your liver?

Let’s start somewhere simple.

Does the government have the right to demand you give part of your liver to someone who is dying? Or bone marrow? Or blood?

Yeah we get it. You “hope” the kids will get adopted, and you’re just closing as fact what your wishful thinking says.

Simpy repeating what you hope will happen, despite the issues with it is not a great argument.

My plan is gaurenteed to ensure that all children get a home, no one will get let behind - and children will be taken care of by conservatives who have willingly signed their name to agree that the needs of a child that is inconvenient to them trumps their own.

You’re simply hoping the adoption system can cope with 300,000 child increase over 100,000. I don’t know if you can even do maths given your calculations.

Like I said, you’re simply hoping, that kids will be adopted. You haven’t checked whether the system can cope - or even care whether there are enough people willing to voluntarily adopt to account for all the kids. But hey - nothing says you care about human life than just through 300,000 kids per year into government run homes and hope everything turns out okay.

Its clearly a much better idea and a MUCH more respectful idea to force conservatives who consented to being adoptive parents by virtue of voting for pro life policies to take the children.

Hell, once artificial wombs are present, we can give the burden fully to the pro life upon decision to remove the fetus. It can be given to a pro life family, from a low gestational age and the conservatives can figure out what to do with it.

I don’t understand what possible issue you can have with the system I’m proposing - it’s as if you want to do everything you want to avoid taking care of children even if it potentially seriously harms their long term future.

there are 135,000 children adopted each way, and around 300,000 in foster care.

You're massively increasing the numbers: rather than be an idiot and simply hope that adoption can handle it - and palm the problem off to someone else.

thats a terrible idea, based on your hopes - not facts - that the system can cope.

Its MUCH better to simply make sure all children have a home, and can get a family, by skipping the entire adoption process and give the children directly to those voting against abortion and pro choice policies.

You cant possibly have an issue with it, as It would be a fully consensual system. The conservatives who refuse to let women chose what they want with their bodies get their way - but are directly burdened with the responsibility of those children.

With 300,000 abortions each year, the adoption system will not cope: we need a gaurenteed way of ensuring the children born are well taken care of, have their needs met and are in loving families.

its a perfect system: vote for pro life policies, and you get out on a list where you can be picked to be personally responsible for the new babies.

Nothing would demonstrate conservative dedication to pro life policies more than making your vote REALLY show that you’re truly interested in human life - even when it’s inconvenient.

Those who are pro life, and vote for pro life policies should be responsible for their decisions. If you don’t want to be stuck with a child you dont want, you can simply not vote for pro life policies.

we will research a way to allow pro lifers to be able to carry an embryo. Right now, anyone that would be signed up on the pro life register would be required to take an unwanted baby, when chosen at random.

@Alec
Thats why I said via an artificial womb, to allow a man to carry them.

I think this should be a policy - that anyone formally registering as pro life can be forcefully given an embryo to carry to term, or an eventually born child if the mother does not want the baby.

How about we research a way to remove embryos from a pregnant woman who does no want to be pregnant, and the transplant them into pro-life men and women: either directly or via an artificial womb.

That would solve the problem.

2nd Poll: Should DART have ads to help DebateArt.com out and to pay for features?
If you want to help out, $3-4 per month is a good way of helping out. It’s not going to fully fund everything, but certainly helps cover costs. The main issue is simply time needed to implement features, raising page ranks and marketing.

No. No. No.

Right now, the number of pageviews, and site traffic is likely only to result in a few dollars a month of ad revenue - In return for making the website look worse, and with the potential to turn people off.

Once the page views increase by a factor of 20, there’d be enough to cover underlying costs, and pay for site maintenance and updates - that’s the only time it should be considered.

Liberals are stupid
-->
@Dr.Franklin
Like so many other conservatives, you’re boiling down the opposing argument go a ridiculous caricature straw man that bears no resemblance to any of the arguments that are really used.

Lets cover some of this horrific misrepresentation from the beginning.

The main argument to support abortion is that people have the right to do what they want with their body. I can’t order you to do something with your body you don’t want to do just because it will save someone’s life. It’s a key aspect of personal liberty.

It is true that given the severe impact of having a child, helped in no part by conservatives refusal to provide assistance with healthcare, child care, sex education, free access to contraception, paid parental leave; mean that women are likely to seek out unsafe abortions that our their life at risks.

This differs in several key ways from obtaining a gun illegally.

- Firstly, an abortion is not a physical object that must be manufactured and traded.
- an abortion cannot be stolen from another individual.
- Police officers can not remove your abortion and take it off the street.
- Buy back policies do not allow women to return their abortions.
- You do not have to have an abortion about your person for it to be a crime.

Moving swiftly on: almost no one is calling for a “ban on guns”, this is just part of a foaming at the mouth insanity drive by the right wing media. What is being proposed are a series of measures aimed at reducing gun violence by making it more difficult for some weapons and some weapon types to be purchased, and by whom.

So please; memes should be used for cats, mocking hipsters, and complaining about life; conservatives should avoid trying to make political points with such approaches as youre generally terrible at it.

Serious Discussion on the Meaning of Adult Content
I would personally wait for there to be a problem before trying to determine what the solution would be.

”Adult content”, is so vague and ambiguous, that your not going to be able to come up with a decent enough definition that satisfies all situations. I don’t see there being any problem in making judgement calls when a particular type of content is complained about. You’re going to be making those either way.
