the true religion

@Lunar108
many religions claim to be universal and claim that following any other religion will end you up -or should I say down- in hell
including :
the two abrahamic religion
islam
christianity
judaism
wait maybe not judaism
Judaism was the first religion to introduce Abraham.

Islam and Christianity are offshoots of Judaism and based on the Abrahamic God of the Hebrew Bible.

That still puts the Gospel  Authors closer to Jesus  than our generation.

Our generation didn’t write the gospels so I fail to see the relevance,
That is why we have to rely on the generation that witnessed Jesus, such as the Gospel Authors.

The Gospels were eyewitness accounts.
To quote Jesus one has to go to eyewitness accounts.
Most biblical scholars date the gospels to have been written around 68-110 AD, so not eyewitness accounts. The gospel events are believed to have been acquired from accounts passed on by oral tradition, but then again they may be total fiction, there is little contemporary evidence that Jesus even existed, it is all down to faith.
That still puts the Gospel  Authors closer to Jesus  than our generation.

Kosher (the most cruel) and Halal (almost as cruel) are excuses for animal-abusing ways of killing.

Kosher (the most cruel) and Halal (almost as cruel) are excuses for animal-abusing ways of killing.
I would like you to discuss this.

If the SPCA found it cruel they would have stopped Kosher and Halal killing of animals for food.

There are more Objections over how Jews and Muslims kill each other which is out of the hands of the SPCA.

It is objectively cruel, thanks for your baseless input
I am trying to be factual and rational. But it isn’t easy convincing a RationalMadman. Pardon the pun.

I don't care about your personal insecurities or paranoia, Reverend "Tradey".

 you are not interested in serious discussions or exploration of any topic.

I asked you a very clear and simple question. You turned it into a fkn song and dance from the moment I asked it, Here>>#24  instead of answering you replied  with 14 !!!! fkn questions of your own HERE>>#26 and is all you have done since is evade, swerve stutter, stumble and play your own cretinous games and shown  yourself to be  the contradictory clown of double standards that you are..

As far as I am concerned you haven't answered the question and have clocked up yet another failure.

and let me remind you again, Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures, REVEREND "Tradey". Matthew 22: 29:

You see, King James Version own Dictionary definition which defines the word -perfect as shown above also shows you once AGAIN to be in error and exposes your complete and utter lack of Bible knowledge HERE>> #89  :

although you just cannot stop telling us how Bible savvy you are,

"I have been taught to memorise the bible since a very early age. I have read the bible numerous times. I try and read the OT once every year and the NT twice a year.  I know it reasonable well and can even read Hebrew and Greek "#52

 But you must have believed that claim on its own wasn't enough to impress us all with so threw in this pile of bullshite for good measure:

"I  know the bible backwards - and frontwards - in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic ".

My, look at that. you added "Aramaic"  that time!

Well  now anyone reading here knows by now that both of your above claims are nothing but the purest of sparkling gold plated bullshite.

You will never be a honest person , Reverend "Tradey", no matter how many  qualifications, accreditations and titles  you have awarded yourself. The hole that you have dug for yourself is just too deep.....

Knowing the Authors of the Bible lied in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic and these  lies  were translated to English gives preachers a advantage over their congregation who only hear the lies in English therefore missing out the poetry and nuances expressed in the original manuscripts.

Religious believers require proof.
Jesus is reacting to a request from some Pharisees and Sadducees; they have demanded a miraculous sign to validate the claims that Jesus is the long-promised Messiah of Israel (Matthew 16:1–3).

Religious beliefs are based on credible proof. Thomas only believed after he was given credible proof.

John 20:24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Quoting the Bible to prove the credibility of the Bible is circular reasoning.
The Gospels were eyewitness accounts.
To quote Jesus one has to go to eyewitness accounts.

stoned to death for adultery by a local Sharia court in modern day
-->
@Lunar108
Mohamed Abukar Ibrahim, 48, is stoned to death by members of Hizbul Islam, a group of Somali Islamist insurgents in Afgooye, 30 km from the capital Mogadishu, on 13 December. Ibrahim had been found guilty of adultery by a local Sharia court. In February, the president of a transitional government had agreed to the introduction of Sharia law in Somalia, in order to defuse clashes between the government and local clan-based militia.
Death by stoning was accepted in the Bible till other more modern methods of execution were invented.
But public stoning remained an option which the Muslims kept open to blend the old with the new. Punishment by any means is punishment to serve Justice .

What is your favorite argument for the existence of God? Why is it your favorite argument? What are some objections to this argument and how do you deal with them?
1. Behind every creation is a creator. The creation of life and our universe is no exception.

2. The universe and life is too complex for us to comprehend.

3. Lack of education and comprehension is not an excuse to reject the obvious.

The  faith of the believer in a liar and lunatic named Jesus hardly adds any credibility to the believers beliefs.

Religious belief doesn’t have to be credible as it doesn’t require proof.

Abubaker Deghayes, 53, promoted “jihad by sword”.
-->
@Stephen
He told worshippers: “Whose power is more powerful than us? Allah is more powerful than you. You, idiots. You kuffar (non-believers)… The non-believer is an idiot. He’s stupid.”
He went on: “Jihad, jihad, jihad. Jihad is compulsory. Jihad is fighting by sword. That means this jihad is compulsory upon you, not jihad is the word of mouth but jihad will remain compulsory until the Day of Resurrection…”

And he lost two sons fighting Allahs' "holy war".

Abubaker Deghayes rolled out that old excuse saying he was only explaining the meaning of Jihad by the sword as" self-defence ".

Those poor boys.
Preaching Jihad in a Mosque is perfectly in line with Islam.
Preaching outside a Mosque to infidels is why Jihad becomes necessary to deal with the expected Infidels reaction.

I never said that all the events were fabrication as some can be verified. The Bible’s credibility is mostly down to the faith of the believer and what is considered credible may very depending on belief.
The  faith of the believer in a liar and lunatic named Jesus hardly adds any credibility to the believers beliefs.

Pakistani court sentences woman to death for WhatsApp ‘blasphemy’

Muslim woman, 26, is sentenced to death by hanging for blasphemy in Pakistan after sending caricatures of Prophet Mohammed over WhatsApp
  • A Muslim woman, 26, has been sentenced to death in Pakistan for blasphemy
  • She was convicted of sending caricatures of Prophet Muhammad via WhatsApp
  • Blasphemy is punishable by the death sentence in Muslim-majority Pakistan
  • But an execution has never been carried out as courts have overruled sentence
Not the first person that gets the death penalty for insulting the prophet of islam the worst person to ever walk the earth

The trial court in the northern Pakistani city of Rawalpindi on Wednesday sentenced Aneeqa Ateeq under the country’s strict blasphemy laws, which impose a mandatory death penalty for insulting the Prophet Muhammad.
===============================================================================
A blind man had a slave-mother who used to abuse the Prophet (ﷺ) and disparage him. He forbade her but she did not stop. He rebuked her but she did not give up her habit. One night she began to slander the Prophet (ﷺ) and abuse him. So he took a dagger, placed it on her belly, pressed it, and killed her. A child who came between her legs was smeared with the blood that was there. When the morning came, the Prophet (ﷺ) was informed about it.
He assembled the people and said: I adjure by Allah the man who has done this action and I adjure him by my right to him that he should stand up. Jumping over the necks of the people and trembling the man stood up.
He sat before the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: Messenger of Allah! I am her master; she used to abuse you and disparage you. I forbade her, but she did not stop, and I rebuked her, but she did not abandon her habit. I have two sons like pearls from her, and she was my companion. Last night she began to abuse and disparage you. So I took a dagger, put it on her belly and pressed it till I killed her.
Thereupon the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Oh be witness, no retaliation is payable for her blood.

islam have been killing people for insulting the benevolent or should I say malevolent prophet of islam since the beginning of islam
in the hadith mentioned before muhammad stated that " no retaliation is payable for her blood " sounds extremely benevolent
Muslims need to send more virgins to Paradise. With the rate of Muslim Martyrs growing and 72 virgins promised to each Muslim martyr. Virgins have to be recruited from Muslim countries because they are harder to find in Christian countries.
With the economy hurting in Muslim countries muslim men cannot afford to have 4 wives as dictated by Islam. This is creating a rise in unmarried Muslims Women and contributing to the explosion of virgins.

What would be a fun challenge?
Seeing Muslims pray looking up to God instead of kneeling with their backsides pointing in Gods direction.

Muslim prayer rooms often look like the men are there to get their backsides washed. But don’t want to see who is washing it.

May They Just As Well Condemn The Bible To The Skip?

@FLRW
In the beginning, God was a lonely being. Due to His loneliness, God created the angels, and they worshipped and loved Him. However, God grew bored with receiving the praise from the angels, so He decided to create mankind even though He knew that He was condemning this species to a miserable existence.
When He told the angels of His plans on creating Humanity, they were horrified by His announcement. As such, a great war was waged on Heaven ending with massive bloodshed and the remaining angels being expelled. Feeling that His Angel of Death was failing to live up to what He intended, God orchestrated the deaths of a good man's wife and daughter, which leads to that man becoming the Saint of Killers. Throughout the years, God indulged in the worship of humanity despite being fully responsible for all of the wars, famine, and other heinous atrocities that befall the Earth. Despite this, God craved more affection. And so, He arranged the creation of Genesis, a being conceived from a Seraphim and a demon, solely so He could see if a being more powerful than Himself would choose to love him.
However, His plan goes awry, and Genesis goes to inhabit the body of a Texas preacher named Jesse Custer. As a result, Jesse embarks on a mission to find God and question Him about the abandonment of His creation.
Your post might explain why Texas is banning the Bible in schools and libraries. Texans believe the bible misrepresents facts and is very racist. The result was a slew of challenges across Texas over books that shared the LGBTQ perspective or laid out the harsh reality of racism.

Texas also has the strictest border crossing and Abortion laws and even sought to separate from America at one time. By liberalizing it’s gun laws Texas might achieve its goals through self policing.

it is irrational to argue that there's no evidence for the afterlife
it is irrational to argue that there's no evidence for the afterlife
Most religions believe in an after life.

In Hinduism, life and death are interwoven in one continuous cycle called samsara. Each person has a soul, known as the atman. Hindus believe that their atman leaves their body when they die to be reborn into another form.
For Hindus, reincarnation is part of the lifecycle of all souls as they seek to achieve oneness with the supreme spirit, Brahman. Depending on the good or bad deeds people accomplished during their life on earth, they will be reborn or reincarnated as another human, an animal, or an insect.

Reincarnation exists for the sole purpose of helping the soul achieve the understanding that no desire on earth will fulfill their deepest longings. Through reincarnation, souls are taught lessons with each life lived until they reach true fulfillment and are set free from any desires that tie the soul to earth.

Christians  and Muslims believe in the after life too.
Christian beliefs about life after death are based on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Resurrection means coming back to life, or rising from the dead! Christians believe that Jesus’ death and resurrection are part of God’s plans for the human race.

Jesus’ death on the cross symbolises paying for mankind’s sin and restoring mankind’s relationship with God. This is called atonement. Christians believe that three days after Jesus was crucified on the cross, God raised Jesus from the dead, and he went back to his disciples. This is called crucifixion, which means a method of punishment where the victim is tied to a large beam and left there until eventual death.

Islam teaches that there is life after death, and this is known as Akhirah . In Islam, it is Allah who decides when a person dies and most Muslims believe that when they die, they will stay in their graves until Yawm al-din , the Day of Judgement .

I think his approval has something to do with you just being an average person and not with a church.
Dawkins is talking about “mild pedophilia” where there is no lasting damage.

But children sexually abused by priest suffer lasting psychological damage and the Vatican has been sued for damages in the millions.

Burning witches is less expensive to the church.

one of the things that I hate is how much those priest can talk about how bad homosexuality is
but ironically  multiple members of the vatican are accused of cases for child molestations and most of them are towards young boys :
claiming that homosexuality is bad while molesting young boys .....................................
The church does not see pedophilia and homosexuality as the same thing.  One is about sexually abusing children and the other is about same sex sex between consenting adults.

Pedophilia is an ongoing sexual attraction to pre-pubertal children. It is a paraphilia, a condition in which a person's sexual arousal and gratification depends on objects, activities, or even situations that are considered atypical. Pedophilia is defined as recurrent and intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors involving sexual activity with a prepubescent child or children—generally age 13 years or younger—over a period of at least six months. Pedophiles are more often men and can be attracted to either or both sexes.

Are JWs christians?
Let’s hear what the JWs say.

Yes. We are Christians for the following reasons:

  We try to follow closely the teachings and behavior of Jesus Christ.—1 Peter 2:21.

  We believe that Jesus is the key to salvation, that “there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”—Acts 4:12.

  When people become Jehovah’s Witnesses, they are baptized in the name of Jesus.—Matthew 28:18, 19.

  We offer our prayers in Jesus’ name.—John 15:16.

  We believe that Jesus is the Head, or the one appointed to have authority, over every man.—1 Corinthians 11:3.

However, in a number of ways, we are different from other religious groups that are called Christian. For example, we believe that the Bible teaches that Jesus is the Son of God, not part of a Trinity. (Mark 12:29) We do not believe that the soul is immortal, that there is any basis in Scripture for saying that God tortures people in an everlasting hell, or that those who take the lead in religious activities should have titles that elevate them above others.—Ecclesiastes 9:5; Ezekiel 18:4; Matthew 23:8-10.

So the answer is JWs don't believe Jesus is God therefore they are not Christians.  Thanks Harikrish.
Jesus never claimed he was God.

26 verses about Jesus Christ son of God in the Bible. Not a single claim by Jesus he is God.

1 Corinthians 15:28
When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.

Psalm 2:7
“I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord:
He said to Me, ‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.

Hebrews 1:5
For to which of the angels did He ever say,
“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”? And again,“I will be a Father to Him
And He shall be a Son to Me”?

Matthew 3:17
and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”

Matthew 17:5
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!”

Mark 1:11
and a voice came out of the heavens: “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.”

John 1:14
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

1 John 4:10
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

John 14:13
Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 5:19
Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.

John 5:26
For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself;

Mark 14:61
But He kept silent and did not answer. Again the high priest was questioning Him, and saying to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?”

Mark 5:7
and shouting with a loud voice, he *said, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me!”

Luke 8:28
Seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell before Him, and said in a loud voice, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me.”

Acts 13:33
that God has fulfilled this promise to our children in that He raised up Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm, ‘You are My Son; today i have begotten You.’

Hebrews 5:5
So also Christ did not glorify Himself so as to become a high priest, but He who said to Him,
“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”;

Mark 9:7
Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is My beloved Son, listen to Him!”

Luke 3:22
and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.”

2 Peter 1:17
For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”—

Luke 9:35
Then a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!”

Romans 1:4
who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,

Matthew 2:15
He remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”

Luke 20:13
The owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps they will respect him.’

Hebrews 1:8
But of the Son He says,
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,
And the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom.

1 John 5:9
If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that He has testified concerning His Son.

1 John 5:10
The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son.

The Case of John the Baptist
-->
@Stephen
It is not known who gave John the authority to perform this baptismal rite of washing away sins and it seems no one else knew either except for maybe Jesus, and he wasn't saying ?
Holding the Aaronic priesthood meant John had the keys to preach repentance and baptize for the remission of sins. Jesus recognized John as having the authority to baptize, and when the Savior began his ministry, he came to John to have that ordinance performed.

Aaronic Priesthood is mentioned in the Bible.

What the Bible says about Aaronic Priesthood
(From Forerunner Commentary)

Exodus 29:10

The Aaronic priests were purified for service to God through the transferal of their sins to a bull. Similarly, when an Israelite presented a peace or a sin offering, he laid his hands upon the animal being offered, identifying himself with it and transferring his guilt to the animal. Thus, the animal was set apart by God through the laying on of hands.

Leviticus 9:22-24

They fell on their faces out of fear, reverence, respect, awe, and wonder from the knowledge that God was in their midst. The last verse shows that God accepted Aaron and the priests because everything was done according to His will.

Hebrews 7:24-28

The Aaronic priesthood—including the high priest—was just as sinful as the population that they were to be serving. In order for this to be corrected, it was necessary that the true High Priest be one of divine nature, perfect, and sinless. Jesus Christ was both deity and humanity, and He qualified—through His sinlessness, His offering of His life, and His compassion—to be High Priest for the entirety of humanity. The book of Hebrews points out these things: 1) that He was divine, 2) that He offered His perfect life in sacrifice, and 3) that His mercy qualified Him to be High Priest.

Aaron's sons attained to the priesthood simply by being born into the Aaronic line. Members of the church, though, become priests by means of regeneration, making us part of the Divine Family—and thus brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.

Why do Atheists arbitrarily and irrationally say Miracles don't exist?
-->
@Tradesecret
Miracles by their very nature are not cause and effect - hence it would be absurd to think they ought to be repeated.

Miracles are also by their nature intended to be rare and unusual.

The only way for an atheist to say miracles don't exist would be to say that "In my experience, I know there can be no miracles because I have done the empirical research on every place on planet earth and in every moment of history that has ever taken place". Or the atheist could could say he has talked to someone who does know everything.  ( I think the only person who knows everything is God)

So the statement of knowing miracles are not true is not knowledge - it is prejudicial opinion.  Something which does not have any educational value.

What say you?
Miracles go against known natural laws.

Some examples.

Walking on water.
Raising the dead
Virgin birth

Even the people were not impressed with the miracles Jesus preformed and threatened to stone him.

John 10:32 but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”

How Did Jesus Do It?
-->
@Stephen
We are back to original question.
How did Jesus enter a locked room?

John 20:26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

Obviously he returned as a spirit or Ghost. Spirits can go through walls and locked doors.

Nope!
Luke 4:14 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.

Jesus returning as a spirit gave him the power of the Spirit.

Jesus neither married or had children.

How do you know that?
Nowhere in the Bible does it say Jesus was married or had children.

I know. So you are appealing to absence then?

Polytheist-Witch: Poor little white men losing all their authority and power over all of us bitches,   POC, gheys, trans and other people they just don't care for. None of us are worthy of their presence and status. How awful it is to have spouses and relatives and children in these populations. They must go to bed disgusted and sick every night.
That still leaves you black men who play with voodoo.

If it is made of paper.  Paper don't last that long.
Put it on a usb stick

Hey It seems like God only showed up and engaged with people in a "certain area."    And wih size in perspective a very small area.
It's almost like the bible was ummmm,  did/done     WITHOUT taking / factoring in the events that happen in the year 2384.

Was the bible written without this knowing ?

It doesn't have a used by date but it definitely has a best before.

The parts of the bible written after a name ( not always a name )   and a set of numbers like for example

The bible reads normal then all of a sudden

Wayne  1 : 22.  ( followed by writings )

Is them parts of the bible ummmm " different " in anyways.

Are the scriptures in a bible more important then the rest ?
The scriptures is the message. The rest are the events that triggered the message. They help to provide a timeline and historical background.

God and all the white noise
Polytheist-Witch: Jesus' message and Jesus himself has nothing to do with the God of Abraham. It's a completely contradictory message and he basically tells people to violate Jewish law. People just connected Jesus to the god of Abraham because either one, he was Jewish or two, they wanted to establish dominance over that particular religion.
Jesus was a Jew and he followed Judaism. Jesus quoted from 24 books in the Old Testament. Judaism and the Bible are all about the God of Abraham.

Proof Of Exodus
-->
@Elliott
This is one theory regarding the Exodus story. It is possibly a contentious theory but I thought it may be of interest. There is a fair bit about it on the internet for those who may be curious.

During the mid-14th century B.C.E. Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten decreed during his reign that his subjects were to worship only one god and that was the sun-disk Aten. After Akhenaten’s death Egypt retuned to polytheism, worship of Aten was deemed heresy and his worshipers faced persecution.

The theory is that Moses was a high priest of the god Aten, who with a number of his fellow believers fled into Canaan and established a monotheistic religion there.
There is no mention of Jewish slaves or the exodus in Egyptian history.

From another archeologist Israel Finkelstein.

Exodus never happened and the walls of Jericho did not come a-tumbling down. How archaeologists are shaking Israel to its biblical foundations.

Israel Finkelstein, chairman of the Archaeology Department at Tel Aviv University, with archaeology historian Neil Asher Silberman, has just published a book called "The Bible Unearthed: Archaeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of Its Sacred Text."

"The Israelites were never in Egypt, did not wander in the desert, did not conquer the land [of Canaan] in a military campaign and did not pass it on to the twelve tribes of Israel. Perhaps even harder to swallow is the fact that the united kingdom of David and Solomon, described in the Bible as a regional power, was at most a small tribal kingdom."

So your answer is , No, then.
You cannot destroy the only evidence we have which is in the Bible..................

So your answer is no, and I agree but not for the same reasons. I said in my op :
Stephen wrote: I personally wouldn’t want to see this ancient work destroyed.#1

And so by Christians claiming for one  to know and understand the bible, one has to be able to read ancient Greek and ancient Hebrew is complete and utter bullshite and only used as default when they find themselves cornered by  awkward and embarrassing questions.

What you are not considering is the people who could read Hebrew and Ancient Greek where the very same people who demanded Jesus be crucified and crucified him.

It was only after the Bible was translated into English that a more moderate interpretation of the Bible surfaced. But did did not prevent the religious wars and crusades or religious discrimination.

Luke 15
-->
@Kadin
I have heard people relate or describe Black Lives Matter as described in Luke 15:

Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’  I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Do you think this is similar to the message of Black Lives Matter? When 100 sheep go missing, Jesus leaves the 99 and goes looking for the 1. The other sheep wonder, "don't we matter" which is similar to All Lives Matter. Of course the other sheep matter, but they're not the ones in danger so they are not the ones Jesus is paying attention to.

Unless you believe there is no history of racism in this country with lingering impacts, or that black people do not have any inherent disadvantages or discrimination due to skin color, I could see how one would relate the passages.

Directly after this passage follows the Parable of the Lost Coin and the Parable of the Prodigal Son. They reflect the importance of redemption and asking forgiveness. They analogize persons who are lost souls, and the significance and joy of them finding their way through God's grace. It is specifically the sinners or non-believers that need God most, so there is special attention paid to those people despite being less than ideal models of God.

I'm not saying black people are lost souls, but what do these passages mean to you in relation to the BLM movement, or having compassion for people who do not glorify God or live by His example? The Bible is filled with stories about empathy, compassion and forgiveness even for those who are not worthy. The lesson is to exemplify God's grace to others, and by doing so you and them can be saved. How can we be more Christian in our politics or social politics to live by God's word?
The Bible was not very effective at reducing antisemitism even though the Jews were Gods chosen people. God established a covenant with the Jews and sent them prophets to deliver them from their suffering.
Despite these divine interventions the Jews lived in Exile throughout their history.

To look for parables  in the Bible that apply to the BLM and uncover the racism and  slavery the blacks have endured would prepare Christians for the future where by 2030 the majority of Christian will be Africans living in Africa.

Will the BLM absorbs Christianity and treat the whites as lost souls and show compassion for these people who did not glorify God or live by His example?
The Bible is filled with stories about empathy, compassion and forgiveness even for those who are not worthy. The lesson is to exemplify God's grace to others, and by doing so blacks  and whites  can be saved.

The fact that Christianity is shifting to Africa is evidence Christianity is failing in western countries. Will these failed Christians be seen by the BLM as analogous to the Parable of the Lost Coin and the Parable of the Prodigal Son? They reflect the importance of redemption and asking forgiveness. They analogize persons who are lost souls, and the significance and joy of them finding their way through God's grace. It is specifically the sinners or non-believers that need God most, so there is special attention paid to those people despite being less than ideal models of God.

The true test would the the dream MLK had:  “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Going back to the parable. I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one black man George Floyd receiving Justice  than over ninety-nine white righteous persons who do not repent.

The golden rule
-->
@Tradesecret
In Matthew 7 Jesus gives the golden rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated. This of course is UNIQUE to Christianity and perhaps some other religions who have been privy to the bible.

Sometimes people suggest other religions and person such as Confucius  and Buddha said the same thing but this would be confusing apples with oranges.

Other statements are mostly put in the negative not in the positive. The difference is profound. The first chooses not to punch their enemy in the face. The latter chooses to build their enemy a hospital. Positive and negative are important to consider.

The other aspect about Jesus’ golden rule that is conveniently forgotten is that it is prefaced with another item which the others do not even contemplate. Love God with all of you heart and soul and mind and then - love others. Omitting this preface distorts entirely the meaning of the second commandment. It is impossible to love others in the way Jesus indicated without first loving God.

Hence it is clear that while other religions and cultures had a similar rule, the two are so significantly different that Jesus’ golden rule is unique.

Do you agree or disagree? Please explain why.
The Golden rule in Matthew 7:12 “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

It is ironic the Golden Rule was preached to the Jews who suffered 3000 years of antisemitism.

Another winner!

Luke 6:29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them.

Jesus was bound by the Golden Rule and let the Romans crucify him, destroy the temple, Jerusalem and replace Judaism with the Roman Catholic Church.

This is why the Golden Rule is Unique to Christianity. Christianity was the only beneficiary of the Golden Rule.

I claimed I do not believe in a logical world. I claimed that if this world is logical, it is not human logic as we know it. I claimed it may be logical in a way we are unaware of,and do not and possibly cannot understand.
It is hard for women to see the world as logical when over 2 billion Christians are told Eve the first woman was created from Adam’s rib.
Genesis 2:22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
