But hey, if you want to worry about telecom interfering with weather forecasts, go for it, whatever floats your boat.Again, I dont know how old the vid is. I had just watched it, and it was all new to me, so I posted to Science and Nature. Thanks for your consideration Sidewalker.
No problem, in telecom, frequency allocation and interference are a science all it's own, the video gives a good learning example of what's involved, just know that when there's a bazillion dollars at stake, they are going to figure out how to get past it.
There are a lot of PhDs out there that are smart enough to develop a product that uses a certain frequency but don't know to check what that frequency's allocations are. The bigger problem is large critical telecom networks going down because of some innane product interfering. The biggest offender is the US military, they have their own frequencies and are supposed to leave the commercial frequencies alone, but they regularly wreak havok and just say it's none of our business what they are doing, just get over it.
I sold a huge network in the Florida panhandle that crashed for a full day, every month, on a Wednesday at precisely 2:00 PM, Eglin was crashing it and just telling us it's none of our business why, you really can't argue with guys who can just say "national security" to shut down the conversation.
5G has been with us a while now, and Ive not seen any or much front page news coverage of this issue. And then she goes into 6G.Humans have effects on their ecological environment. More humans, with less and less consideration of the ecology that sustains them. have greater, if not more detrimental effects, that, require fixes.
True that, and telecom is certainly not innocent in that respect, our brains are constantly bombarded by RF, that has a huge detrimental impact on our thought processes and general well being. The next time there is a large power outage where you live, pay attention to how it makes you feel mentally, you'll notice a deep feeling of serentity, that is because the amount of RF bombarding your mind has dropped to practically nothing.

Instinct isn't science.Science might evaluate instinct.Intelligence is the conscious manipulation and utilisation of data.Intelligence cannot (yet) replace the necessity of instinctive function. And religion is pseudoscience.Popular Middle Eastern religions hypothesise that a floaty about bloke created the universe.
Allow me to explain this post scientifically, you see, for the species known as "atheist", this is an instinctive response to the stimulous of seeing the word "pseudoscience". It's nothing but an emergent property that was worked out by evolution long ago, think of it as a hidden variable.

@Intelligence_06
Studying what instincts are actually instincts among humans and other animals is an important part in anthropology, sociology and biology. It doesn't become pseudoscience until it attempts to categorize baselessly what instincts are present in groups of organisms.
I think his point is that it's pseudoscience when we pretend that the word "instinct" provides a scientific explanation.
Created:

@Lemming
Personally, I don't see why instincts shouldn't be learned, or developed, resisted, or followed,
I think instinct is considered to be more like something that operates below the level of awareness, like an "automatic" response to a stimulous, sort of like saying we don't need to understand this, the solution was already worked out by evolution long ago.

@zedvictor4
Religion is more pseudoscience for a start. And everything that you stated above contradicts itself.Instinct is subconsciously stored operational information. Why the big downer on instinct.
There you go, "instinct of the gaps" is better than "God of the gaps", proof positive that "instinct of the gaps" supports Zed's s presumptions, and not yours.

@badger
I can't think of anything that's more pseudoscience than the idea of instinct. I mean there's some parts that are obviously instinct or something just baked into whatever creatures: baby turtles running for ocean immediately after being born; generations of butterflies taking turns flying over and back between places; salmon, whatever they get up to. List goes on. And some creatures aren't much more than automata for sure. But there's so much else that sounds total bullshit. Social and solitary creatures for example. Polar bears living in conditions where food is incredibly scarce, forced apart for a chance at better hunting and because in hunger cannibalism is not unknown. Lions in the savannah, pushed together by all the other big monsters, elephants, crocodiles, hippos, other lions. Tigers solitary for no need of each other, kings of their jungle, their only competition being other tigers. All things that make a whole lot of sense. If you put humans in these animals' positions, we'd do the same of cleverness. But for the animals it's instinct. Then in captivity polar bears and tigers are plenty social. Some instincts. We observed some crazy shit in nature and took an idea in it and applied it needlessly across the board. The idea also hinders adaptability massively.
I couldn't agree more, instinct is a descriptive term rather than an explanatary term, it seems to be a term that is used to pretend we understand something, as if use of the word fills in the gaps in our understanding. I see it as another "gaps" argument, a lot like the “God of the gaps” fallacy, which takes many different forms, a few being "emergent properties of the gaps", “evolutionary
advantage of the gaps”, “complexity of the gaps”, and “hidden variables of the
gaps”; and I will contend that they are all one and the same theory in
principle. All of them are only different forms of the argument from ignorance,
illogical attempts to say that the lack of an adequate explanation supports my
presumptions, and not yours, which is a logically invalid argument. In practice, invoking the word "instinct" is something of an incantation that magically transforms something we don't understand into something we do understand.

She's alarmist.And you're biased Mr Sidewalker.
I'm just biased in the direction of not worrying about non-issues. Between the telecom industry and the FCC there's a veritable army of PhDs that are paid big bucks to worry about it for us.
So who to believe?
Probably doesn't matter either way, I understand that soon society is going to collapse because of changes in the dictionary definition of woman anyway.
We've managed without communications technology for approximately 300,000 years. Why all of a sudden can we not do without it?OK, so it's material evolution in progress.I get that. And it seems that we don't have the desire to stop it.After all, we are a part of the same process. So what's the end result?
According to Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, the "Omega Point".

I can tell you she is just being an alarmist,She presents both sides of the story from reputable sources, as best as I discern, from my short viewing of her vid.I think she is pragmatist who is very consider of seemingly reputable sources in many of her vids. Shes is very smart and hangs out with lot of other smart people ex Roger Penrose. I dont know if she has shared stage with Leonard Susskind.Over caustionary may be considered alarmist. Considering reputable sources for information does not appear alarmist to me.Also, I dont know the date of vid, so perhaps all of those frequency related weather concerns have bee addressed, as you state. I dunno
Yep, she's smart, she's using reputable sources, pragmatic and all that, you can even call it over cautionary, but it's "much ado about nothing". There's just nothing new there, it's based on information produced by the telecom industry and it raises issues the industry addresses daily.
But hey, if you want to worry about telecom interfering with weather forecasts, go for it, whatever floats your boat.

Sabine is theoretical physicist a professor in Sweden and a pragmatist. Here is interesting stuff on 5G and meteorological accuracy that I new nothing about.
This was my business for forty years and I can tell you she
is just being an alarmist, all of these concerns were addressed extensively
long before the FCC even approved 5G technology for commercial use. The millimeter
wave technology is not new, we’ve used it extensively for decades for licensed
backhaul links and many other applications, it’s only new in the manner is
which it is utilized in 5G, and I can assure you that the industry knows what
it is doing with this bandwidth allocation.
I have personally sold hundreds of licensed
backhaul links using millimeter wave technology, the majority of the FCCs focus
has always been a matter of addressing the concerns she raises, all of which
have been studied and addressed for decades. Leakage is nothing new, the bandwidth leakage problems are ubiquitous
and have been routinely facilitated in the management of frequencies for
decades with multiple technological developments, affected adjacent
utilizations are a relatively simple matter of adjusting formulas or approaches
to accommodate bandwidth interference to ensure accuracy. As 5G proliferates, the effects of leakage
will be deterministically calculated and weather service technologies will be
adjusted accordingly with little if any degradation in accuracy.
The telecommunications industry is massive and very
sophisticated, most of the affected technologies are technologies we invented
in the first place, for a hundred years telecom has been the engine that has developed and driven the science she is
talking about . The
industry is almost two trillion dollars annually, we employ more physicists
than any single group in the world, and they invented and manage the
technologies she is only dabbling in, we know how to manage bandwidth and interference
issues to ensure effective communication channels. It was the telecom industry that brought the issue to the weather service in the first place, the industry predicted the effects 5g will have on weather sensors long before implementation specifically so the effects to be eliminated and accuracy can be maintained.

Who exactly is this "they" that is doing all this denying? The LGBTQ+ community that is pushing gender reassignment surgery for people who are confused with their gender identity.
And why do you know so much about this community, you appear to be obsessed, are you confused about your own identity?
Do you have examples, is there anything more to this than what the voices in your head tell you to make up?I will gladly provide you with examples. These are trans people who are warning us about how transitioning is not the right choice, but all right left tends to silence these types of stories for some odd reason.
OK, so your obsession tells you that transitioning in not the right chouice, for now at least, at what age will you reconsider?
Then you have literal healthcare professionals just trying to make a quick buck and transition these kids and lie about there being any consequences, and them lying about it being completely reversable, when it clearly is not.
As Shakespear said, "Me thinks the lady doth protesteth too much"..
I hope all this research you are doing helps you figure out who you are, and expecially, what you want to be when you grow up.
Then you have legitimate data that says gender reassignment surgery is not reversable.
OK, and you are only 15, so now you would need yout parents approval anyway, and since it is rirreversable, you should wait till you are sure.

And the discussing thing about the left, is that they support this kind of stuff, with no arguments to back them up.The only thing they say, when they are backed into a corner, is stuff like," Why are so obsessed with this subject?" It's because they can't provide any argument to back them up, so they only ask questions to fight back. And when the truth is revealed to them, they deny it.They deny all of the people who have transitioned, and have warned people to stop. They deny the level of sexualization of kids in school. They deny gender transition surgery to be irreversible. They deny all of the evil things that the left has done to push this agenda.
Who exactly is this "they" who are doing all this denying anyway? Do you have examples, is there anything more to this than what the voices in your head tell you to make up?

I think gender today have become way too specific and should be more abstract. In fact, society would probably be better off having no specific genders rather than the (checks webpage) 97 genders we have so far.
King Charles VI of France believed he was made of glass, I think men who self identify as glass should be gender number 98.

That is the question, can science and math explain something from nothing.
No, they cannot.
First of all, the question presumes the physical existence of nothing, and nothing cannot have the property of existence.
Second, it presumes a temporal ordering and nothing has no temporal
existence.
Third, it assumes some kind of causal process without either the time for a process to occur in, or properties to be acted upon.
Fundamentally we think in a series of binary oppositions. You can’t have a left without a right or an up without a down, the concept of “nothing” is cognitively transactional with the concept of “something”, so for “something” to have meaning, there needs to be a mental concept of “nothing”. Conceptually, they must coexist, just as you can’t have an up without a down, you can’t have nothing without something.
Existence is the default state of reality, there is no
alternative in time or space, or even conceptually. In the end, the question of something from
nothing transcends the frame of reference of math and science, and you can’t really speak of transcendence without all the atheists having a conniption, throwing a
tantrum, and generally, just boring the shit out of us.
